“Maribel is the BEST dog sitter, trainer, and care taker around. I was so worried about using an app to find a dog sitter for my 5 month old puppy but Maribel is the real deal. She takes her time when it comes to pick up and drop off, and always puts the dogs safety first. She has two great, incredibly well trained dogs of her own. She has helped me teach my dog manners when it comes to walking on the leash, waiting at the door/gate, and when it comes to greeting people. I told her my dog was experiencing car anxiety and she took the time during day care to drive him around and found ways to help calm him in the car while making sure he learned car manners. She sends pictures and updates throughout the day. She also takes the dogs on "pack-walks" when its not too hot and it is the best! Anyways, she is great and I would highly recommend her to any of my friends and family who have pups.”

“LOVE Hugh and Mary!! They are so patient with Ellie. She’s always a little nervous when she first arrives. They give her space and allow her to just be a dog until she’s ready for human interaction. When I pick her up, she is so happy and exhausted. The perfect combination for a young dog. We are completely at ease when Ellie is there for a visit.”

“Alexis was an absolutely amazing caretaker I would 100% book with her again and probably will do so in the near future. The amount of care, dedication and attention left me feeling so relieved that my two pups were in great hands even if one of my pups was a bit skittish and had boundaries with strangers it was clear he was able to relax in her home. She took plenty of pictures and her notes were so detailed I felt completely sure that they were having a great time. They had plenty of long walk’s, enrichment activities and made sure they were fed well and full. Its clear she has a great skill set that allows her to understand dog behavior exceptionally that makes her perfect for taking care of your pups, I was able to learn even more about my pups during their stay with Alexis. Cant recommend enough!”

Our girls were happy when we picked them up. I would rebook with her again. We had a last minute request for a later pick up and Jessica had no issue keeping them a little longer.”

About: Caring for animals is my calling in life! I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from Humboldt State University. As a dedicated veterinary technician and docent for the Big Bear Zoo, I have the privilege of providing exceptional care to a wide range of animals and pets. My commitment to the wellbeing of all animals goes beyond just a job; it's a lifelong passion! I'm currently working full time at an emergency animal hospital off the mountain. However, I work double shifts to allow myself some days off during the week and look forward to making some new furry friends! Caring for pets in a client's home is a responsibility I take very seriously, ensuring their comfort, safety, and happiness while their owners are away. My approach to in-home pet care includes: Meet and Greet: I begin by meeting with the client and their pet(s) to establish a rapport and understand their specific needs and routines. Feeding and Hydration: I adhere to the provided feeding schedule, ensuring that pets receive the right amount of food and fresh water. Special dietary requirements are noted and followed diligently. Exercise and Play: Regular exercise and playtime are essential for a pet's physical and mental well-being. I engage in activities tailored to the pet's age and energy level, whether it's a spirited game of fetch or a leisurely walk. Medication and Health Monitoring: If the pet requires medication or has specific health needs, I administer treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian. I also monitor their overall health and report any concerns to the owner promptly. Grooming and Cleanliness: Maintaining the pet's cleanliness is a priority. I provide necessary grooming, including brushing, bathing, and litter box cleaning, to ensure they are comfortable and hygienic. Affection and Companionship: Pets often thrive on companionship and affection. I spend quality time with them, offering cuddles, petting, and positive reinforcement to alleviate any separation anxiety. Security and Home Care: I maintain the security of the client's home by ensuring all doors and windows are locked, and I handle any mail or packages. This gives clients peace of mind while they're away. Daily Updates: Regular communication with the client is crucial. I provide daily updates through texts, photos, or videos to keep them informed about their pet's well-being and activities. Emergency Preparedness: I am trained, experienced and prepared for unexpected situations, including medical emergencies. I have contact information for the client's preferred veterinarian and am beyond qualified for basic pet first aid. Respect for Property: I treat the client's home with the utmost respect, leaving it as clean and tidy as I found it. Overall, my goal is to create a stress-free and nurturing environment for pets in the client's home, allowing them to thrive in their familiar surroundings while their owners are away.

About: I have always been a lover of all animals- dogs, cats, exotics, reptiles, aquatics.. YOU NAME IT! Currently in my third year of Veterinary School at St. George's University in Grenada-West Indies, I spend my summers at home in Highland CA gaining more experience in clinics, gaining more knowledge & skills in the field, and providing care on the side through Rover. I have experience in small animals, exotics, dairy (sheep) and currently trying to expose myself in the field of large animals. I am looking forward to meeting and caring for your fur babies, and thank you in advance for trusting me. I am currently taking online classes Tuesdays and Thursdays to work towards my Masters in Public Health degree alongside my Veterinary Degree, but will have a lot of time to care for your love ones Monday-Sunday according to my schedule. As our 2 of our dogs are not as friendly as our 3rd fur baby, I would like to avoid any problems that can occur as much as possible. Therefore, dog-sitting at the client's house is preferable.
