About: I’ve been a dog owner for over a decade with a mix of different temperaments and personalities. I’ve also been dog and cat sitting for almost as long for friends and family. From little chihuahuas to Rottweilers, I’ve cared for many doggies. I’ve even helped train my mom’s three Belgian Malinois. Though I wouldn’t do it now with my toddler, I trained/rehabbed an abused Pitt bull seven years ago. She became the sweetest of all my dogs. My son, who is 16 months old and accompanying me, is very active, so we pretty much live outside (yes! Even when there is snow on the ground). We have a very flexible schedule except maybe when he goes to bed around 7:30/8pm Since people’s homes vary, I’m flexible with doing whatever it takes to keep your pet and others safe. About: https://www.rover.com/sit/kaitlr39001 I have about 4 years of experience with medically fragile dogs as my dog is a diabetic and takes insulin and requires a prescription diet with frequent potty breaks as well as one other dog who is on daily medications. My other senior pup has discospondylosis so daily medications are something I am very very familiar with as well as being more careful and slower with pups. I currently do part time work from home so I am almost always available to pet sit or board or in home pet sit or even walk your animals. I am a HUGE advocate for animal safety regardless of breed. I love all animals and would never put my dogs or any other animal in harms way.

About: Rescuing dogs — especially puppies — is the most rewarding feeling in life. The most important thing with our furry friends is consistency. If you're stricter with your dog, you need a sitter who'll uphold those rules, not let them slide. I've taken care of dogs and cats for friends and family for years, and I've learned that it's not about what I want — it's about honoring what the owner has built with their pet. I work with the public in my day job, so patience is second nature to me. Pets are no different. They need someone who can read their energy, stay calm, and meet them where they're at. I also love running and playing with animals. Exercise is huge — but I get that a walk isn't always about distance. Sometimes they need to run. Sometimes they need to stop and smell everything. I match their pace, not mine. I don't know if anything really sets me apart from other sitters. I just genuinely want to be there for the furry family member. My availability in inconsistent due to Firefighting but I will always respond as soon as I'm able too. I understand due to my schedule I won't the best sitter for if you need someone daily, but if you need someone to drop-in, walk your dog, or just need a night out, feel free to leave a message. Currently working for a fire department, schedule can be inconsistent. Great for drop in play times and walks. Days off from fire department can be great for unexpected care. Currently unable to have pets in home due to renting rules. Will make sure to confirm and follow all rules with you before accepting the job.

My experience with pets starts in high school when I volunteered at the local animal shelter cleaning out kennels, grooming and playing with cats and dogs. I then graduated to being a pet auntie for my friends animals and then pet sitting for various clients. I love pets, they are adorable and I can’t wait until I can have my own! Until then, I guess I’ll just pet sit…. I work from home on most days, so my schedule is flexible enough to allow me to look after pets such as spending quality time, potty breaks, exercising via walks and playing with cat toys. When I care for pets in their home, I take care to read all of the instructions and look after the home. This can include administering medications, accommodating different diets and walking styles (such as the slow walkers, the sniffers, the neighborhood watchers).
