About: I am a retired elementary school teacher and have taught children for the past 32 years. I’ve always loved animals, especially dogs, and am eager to care for them when they are alone. I am available throughout the day and for planned vacations. I’m retired and am available to go to your home and care for your dog. I don’t have a dog of my own anymore and am eager to play, care and walk your dog. I’m available to feed, walk and play with your dog. I’m happy to go to your home but also have a fenced in yard where your dog can run and play with me.

I follow all feeding schedules carefully, provide fresh water, regular walks or playtime, and plenty of attention and companionship. I’m especially attentive to senior and special-needs pets, including administering medications as directed and keeping a calm, consistent environment. In a client’s home, I respect their routines and space, making sure pets feel secure and comfortable in their familiar surroundings. I also keep pet parents updated with check-ins and notes so they can feel confident their pets are happy, safe, and well cared for while they’re away.

I have crate trained and potty trained multiple puppies and am familiar with the time, patience, and consistency required for successful training. Through caring for both high-energy working breeds and senior dogs, I have experience managing different exercise needs, routines, temperaments, and levels of care. I am committed to providing a safe, structured, and positive environment for every dog in my care. I am home most of the time and provide full-time care for the dogs in my home. Because I am available throughout the day, dogs receive regular supervision. I have a securely fenced yard where dogs can safely go outside for potty breaks and exercise. I am comfortable reinforcing crate training when needed and believe crates are a valuable tool for safety and routine. My own dogs are crate trained and are crated when they cannot be directly supervised to ensure their safety and prevent unwanted behaviors. I provide a structured, safe, and supervised environment while making sure each dog receives plenty of attention, care, and opportunities to play and relax.

“This was my fiancé's and I first time traveling since we got our puppy, Nilla, and we were super anxious about it. After checking out other options we decided to give rover a try and found Daniel. From the moment we met Daniel and Denise we felt a lot better, it was immediately clear that they love dogs and they love what they do, and they even gave us traveling advice! Dan is very knowledgeable when it comes to dogs and their behavior, I liked that because I knew that our pup would be in good hands. In order to get Nilla used to the place we decided do one day of doggy day care with them before her 7 day stay there and I am so glad we did, Denise sent me updates throughout the day and it was fun to see how happy Nilla was playing with other dogs, that made me feel 10x better about her 7 day stay there and I knew that she would be happy and most importantly safe. They day we dropped her off she immediately recognized the house, jumped out of the car and ran straight to Daniel, she didn't even look back when I said goodbye to her! During our vacation they sent us daily updates along with pictures and videos putting us at such ease knowing our pup was having fun and in good hands. I’m currently working but am winding down a 30+ year career as an educator. I’m available weekends and over the summer right now. My husband is semi-retired and is available Tuesdays and Thursdays all day. One or both of us are also available after 3 pm Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. We have a fenced yard and sadly no pets for your baby to play with. We have no children in the house either so your dog will be the only guest and will receive our undivided attention. We will only sit for 1 family at a time to ensure you the highest quality care.

While I am always off on Tuesdays and Wednesday's, my partner works from home everyday of the week Our home is fenced in completely and has plenty of grass for dogs to run around and play.
