Just two gals who love animalsWest Grand, Grand Rapids, MI

My wife and I will make sure your animals are well cared for and played with. We mostly work at different times and have lots of experience with cats and dogs of all sizes and temperments. I'm training to be a professional dog trainer, and can work on any tricks or lessons you may want. For dogs we do both physical and mental stimulation, be it commands or puzzles. I love teaching dogs new things, and just giving them love. I can assist with potty training as well. We use positive training methods that don't use shock collars or choke collars. I'm also familiar with other pets such as birds, reptiles, and small mammals. I look forward to seeing you and your loved ones soon!

Lots of Love to Give!!Creston, Grand Rapids, MI

I understand that leaving your dog for any amount of time can be stressful on both the owner and the pet. I have two dogs of my own. My two dogs are both older shih tzu's. Due to their age, at this time, I am only able to care for low to medium energy dogs. My dogs are not interested in playing so puppies and high energy dogs are not the best fit. However, if your dog loves sleeping on the couch and getting an infinite amount of pets then our home would be a great fit. My wife and I have no children and our life is pretty low key.

I have previously volunteered at the Humane Society of West Michigan walking pets and assisting with helping find dogs suitable homes.

Additionally, I assist with Lost Paws, LLC which is a pet detective agency that assists owners whose dogs have gotten lost. I am very careful and respectful. I have a strong understanding of canine behavior. I am very passionate about animals and will treat your pet like my own.

I do work a full time job M-F, but am currently working from home so I can be flexible with drop off and pickup times. I am also home all day on the weekends and can be flexible with pick up drop off times during weekends

For drop in's and walks during the week, I am available any time prior to 8am and any time after 5:30pm. During the weekend, I can be flexible for walks and drop in visits.

We do also offer limited grooming service. Which includes nail trim and a bath for 15 dollars. Please let me know at the time of booking if you are interested in this service.

Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. I hope I get a chance to meet your furry friend.

Pawsitively Purrfect Pet SittingRockford, MI

Hi! I'm Paige and I've cared for pets professionally for about 8 years and counting but found and joined Rover March of 2017. I've been raised with all kinds of animals all of my life. I love all pets and treat them as if they're my own. I specialize in smaller dogs, but can take dogs up to 100 pounds (or bigger if they aren’t rowdy). My own pets include 2 dogs, a bunny, and a snake. I've cared for many different types of pet so no pet is off-limits! This is my full-time job so I'll always be able to watch your pet and spend time with him or her. My phone is always near me so I can message you back ASAP. I prefer to work from home so I only offer boarding and day care currently. We have a large fenced in yard, which makes it easy to play outside without worry of running off and get some doggy exercise even easier.

IMPORTANT (PLEASE READ): My hours are very flexible but the general area for drop offs would be anything after 6am. Each day is calculated as a 24 hour stay, so if you drop off 2pm on Monday, you may pick up before or at 2pm on Tuesday without paying for a second day. Late pickups will be charged an additional $5 fee! For stays longer than 5 days, the normal price will raise by $5. For example, if you drop off on Monday and want to pick up the following Monday, you will pay the normal price for 5 days, and any days after that will have the normal price plus $5. Please let me know your drop off and pick up times when you send your request, if you can. I hope to see you and your pet soon!

Kathy's Canine CareSparta, MI

I have been dog sitting since the age of 8. I volunteered for over 20 years, breeding, raising, and training puppies for a national service dog organization, working with a rescue group, and helping out at the local shelter and humane society. In addition, I have done therapy work with my dogs.

Rita and Charlie, my current dogs, love to have guests, and are waiting to make new friends, and share their ideal dog space. We live in a single story home with no stairs, so our old and blind friends are safe. Our 2 acre yard is completely fenced, with a 5' fence that is also buried to prevent the diggers from escaping! When the weather keeps us inside, we have lots of space to move around in. We are allowed on the furniture and beds.

Kathy has retired and wants to welcome more dog guests into our home to keep us company, and keep us all out of trouble. She was a therapist in the schools, and has plenty of experience with special needs dogs (& kids)! She would love to provide a safe and secure home to host your dogs, where they will enjoy our relaxed and laid back setting, while getting lots of hugs and snuggles.

Please note that I charge by the 24 hours, not by the night. So a Friday through Sunday visit is charged as 2 nights plus a day of day care. As I am getting older, I very much appreciate couch potatoes, non-jumpers, and non- barkers!

LOVING HOME FOR SMALL DOGS ONLYEast Hills, GRAND RAPIDS, MI

Elderly Seniors Welcome here. I love dogs. I rescued mine 7 years ago and she's a healthy fur baby. I work from home so I'm rarely out of the house for more than a few hours at a time. I have a back yard large enough to exercise a small dog or we can walk the neighborhood. I only take small dogs so you don't have to worry about your baby getting caught in the middle of rough play. I'm in good physical health and would take good care of your fur baby. My Leela takes meds daily so I have experience in that area and would be happy to take care of a special needs dog. I live in Cherry Hills, right by Heritage Hills. That's just outside of downtown, easy to get to. If you would like to arrange a meet and greet let me know. Me and Leela would enjoy meeting you and your little precious pet.

Your pets “home away from home!! ❤️Wyoming, MI

3/27/20-

UPDATED JUNE 21, 2020

With some sitters not accepting new bookings I wanted to share that I will still be providing safe and clean housing for your pets during this scary time in the US. I will keep your pets safe and will ensure safe pick-up / drop off options amid the social distancing requirement. My home is clean and is sanitized every day, and your pets will still get the adequate exercise during the visits with me as my “back yard” is 60+ acres of woods. So daily walks (multiple walks if weather permitted) is a daily routine. With this being my only job, this lockdown is hitting me/my business VERY hard, so I am happy to continue accepting new clients/work. Please consider me if you are in need of a sitter during this time!

-with business starting to reopen and things starting to go back to normal I am starting to accept meet and greets in person. However, I do prefer to do video meetings, but am open to the face to face meetings If that is what you prefer!

I will still be constantly sanitizing my home and will sanitize leashes and bowls and anything you send your dogs with before they are sent home. It is important to me to continue to keep everyone, including myself and your pets safe!!

Please let me know if you have a preference with how to clean and sanitize the items you send with your pet and let me know anything you want me to do specifically to keep everyone safe and healthy!

Hello! Thank you for taking interest in my profile! Here is all of the information about me that you should know before booking with me! :)

I am 28 years old, and this is my full time job!! . I have 8 years volunteer experience at the West Michigan humane society. I turned volunteering into a full time job (working as the kennel manager). I have since moved away from that area but I still am an active volunteer there.

I am a college graduate- in spring of 2019 I graduated with my Bachelors in criminal law, specializing in Animal care/Animal behavior. I plan to use my degree to become an animal control officer. As of right now I am working as a dog sitter/walker full time and loving every single minute of it!! I could not ask for a better job.

I do not leave to go to another job (a lot of people on the app only do this as a side gig, but this is my main gig ;)) so when you leave your animal with me it truly does get round the clock care!

My apartment is a beautiful, 2 bedroom (1,100 sq ft) off of 44th street near the Rivertown mall (Directly across from Buffalo Wild Wings) I am on the bottom floor. Right out my back door is 50+ acres of wooded area and trails. Also out my back door is Kent trails, and my complex even has a dog park. (They are VERY pet friendly) I have a very secluded building, I don’t have neighbors behind me, and my building is the last building before the wooded area starts. I take the animals I host outside 5+ times a day, and they get to enjoy the woods and trails and the dog park frequently during visits with me. I felt the need to explain my situation a bit because of the stigma surrounded having pets in apartments. This is unlike any other apartment I’ve been in and I’d love to be able to show you what I am talking about during meet and greets!

I love ALL animals and treat all animals with respect. I give them the individualized attention that they need, and am always showing every dog I have as much love as humanly possible! I am flexable and willing to travel to an extent, and all animals will be fed on their normal feeding schedule. I am available for drop in visits, walks, dog boarding, in home sitting, basically I am availble for any animal service you could ever need! (plus with me they get around the clock care and love). I am trust worthy; no criminal background; have a strong work ethic, maintain a high level of professionalism, and am very flexible and responsible. I am just a all around animal lover! :) Having your pets in my home is the best part of my day.

I have received 2 different awards at the shelter I worked with for being so attentive to the wellbeing of the animals I care for.

I ran a puppy training class for 18 months, so I am willing to work with your animal on its training needs while he/she is in my care (for no additional cost!)

I also have a certificate in grooming and can groom, baith, brush, and clip your animals nails during any visits for no additional fee. I can clean ears, and brush teeth as well! It is just my way of saying thank you for booking with me!

I am often hosting other dogs for daycare and boarding so your pet will have lots of furry play mates during their time with me! It improves their mental health by having companions to play with and obviously provides a lot of extra exercise for your dog because they have a ton of space to play inside my home! With that being said it is very important to know if your dog has had issues being around one or multiple dogs at a time. It is not a dealbreaker if your dog has boundary issues or doesn’t particularly like to be around a lot of other dogs!! If it is possible I can host less dogs during the time of your visit (if given an adequate amount of time to prepare and turn away other dogs!) I love having multiple dogs at a time because it gives the dogs a chance to play with others and it helps them improve socially, teaches them to play well with other dogs and teaches patience with kinds of breeds, sizes and personalities!! They love having friends around!!

I will gladly drive to a dog park with your pet (with permission) to ensure they receive adequate exercise daily. I take my dog taco on 2 walks a day (weather permitting) so when your animal is in my care he/she will always return to you tired and ready to sleep!

Your pet will NEVER be left alone outside, I am with every animal for their entire potty breaks and do not ever leave an animal unattended!

I am sure a lot of people say all of these things, but when you book with me- you are booking with the best. I am confident in all of my abilities. I feel comfortable saying that I can provide the best care for your animals. I have such a strong resume in animal care and so much experience with all breeds/types of dogs.

I also have a lot of medical training which gives the owners a piece of mind when leaving their animals with me. I know CPR, basic wound care, laceration care, seizure care, I can administer medicine- orally and injections-, burn care, etc.

I provide a lot of things that a normal sitter can not. I am not just “watching” your dog, I am providing a loving, safe, caring environment for them. Their safety is always my number one concern, and I can use my medical training if (god forbid) there ever is a medical emergency with your animal. When your pets are with me, they are with someone who really cares and knows what they’re doing. I honestly love every minute of my job. I am proud of my work and proud to serve the pets of West Michigan. Being able to spend my time helping animals is the best and most rewarding career I could ever ask for.

Thank you for considering me, I hope to be meeting you and your pet/pets soon!

Fenced in yard! West side of GR!West Grand, Grand Rapids, MI

My current baby, Kam, is 7 years old. She’s a shihtzu mix and is very sweet. Loves other dogs. I adopted (foster failed!) Monte... a spaniel mix who developed such a connection with Kam and me that we couldn't let him leave us! Monte loves other dogs; he's very playful. He is just scared of humans, unfortunately!

I have a ton of experience with large dogs as well. My last dog Chance was a Bernese mix and my best friend! Before that I was a mama to Ozzie, yellow lab and goofball! He left us in 2013. Kam and Monte sleep on my bed, enjoy the fenced in yard, and love cuddling with me on the couch! We welcome any dog to our home. We love them as if they’re family. Any questions please ask. Or come for a visit before you decide whether our home is the place for your baby.

I do have a Pet Cube so I can check in on the pups when I'm away from the house!

We take walks about every other day. Not long but pups get plenty of time out in the yard with me!

I do ask that all vaccinations are up to date. Also, I treat my dogs with heartworm and flea preventative and I expect that you do the same so we can keep ALL of the dogs healthy!

♥️🐾Love is a four-legged word🐾Caledonia, MI

Hi! I'm Courtney. I have at minimum 15 years experience with dogs/cats. I grew up with a professional dog groomer (my wonderful mother) and have been learning grooming with her on and off since I was 15. I still do bath/brush because I just love being with the animals. In grooming, I've had lots of interactions with a lot of different breeds and their own characteristics they have. Each dog/cat is different and needs someone to be able to have the love and patience for them. I've cared for, in my home and outside my home, a lot of dogs and cats(even a snake or two!). My family and I are enjoying putting all our love in others dogs/cats so they have a home away from home(or can stay home)and not have to be crated and left alone hours on end. I do walks and drop ins and can even take in for doggy day care! I've cared for so many different breeds and I just love them all. I'd like to expand more to eventually open an actual doggy day care on a plot of land! It's my dream! As the business my mother owns is right up the road from my home, I'm also able to offer extra services like a bath, dry, brush, ear cleaning and nail trims. I believe our pets are our family and such wonderful companions helping make our lives more joyful and they deserve the love back they give us. Our pets might not be there our whole lives but to them, we are their whole life.
