About: I’ve taken care of all sorts of animals. In my house we had two dogs, a cat, a fish, two birds, and a lizard all at once. i took care of all of them and loved it :) I’m new to the area and have a part time job. i had to leave my dog with my family back home and am really missing that bond, I am very available to pet sit or even just take them on walks. My dog always slept in her crate because it was her safe space. I love to take dogs outside and let them run around and be happy, but i am also comfortable with having them inside and following any rules you may have.

Josh was available to take care of my dogs at the last minute and was very professional. He came to walk them twice during the day while I was out of town and made sure they were fed and had plenty of water. I will definitely ask Josh for his help in the future!

About: Hi pet parents!! My name is Abby and I started my Rover business because I absolutely adore animals! I’ve never met a dog or cat that I didn’t fall in love with 😆 I have two kitties of my own, Taco and Seven, who I love so much! I don’t have my own doggo (yet lol), but that leaves me plenty of time to come take care of your pup or kitty! I work remotely, so my schedule is flexible. My husband often comes with me to Rover meetings, so your animals get two sitters for the price of one! We love to play fetch, and give so many pets! I always send lots of pictures and updates, as I know that is what I’d want for my own kitties. If you need a sitter, please reach out and we can set up a meeting! Looking forward to meeting your sweet babies! 🐾 I work remotely, so I have time to stop by throughout the day to feed and play with your dog or cat. I also get off of work at 4, so after that I’m available to stay longer. If you’re comfortable with me working at your home, I could stay with your pet as long as you’d like! I will make sure to provide your pet with the best care possible. This includes plenty of pets, play time, feedings, treats, and whatever else I can do to make your pet comfortable!

About: I've grown up with dogs and have loved every single one we've had. I dog sit my sisters dogs every time they go out of town, and treat them with all the walks, pup cups, and fetch they want. I'm so excited to get to provide undecided attention for your fur baby, trust me I know how important they are to you and they're just as important to me! I am in college still so my schedule is very flexible as I only have 1-2 classes a day and then I am home mostly the rest of the day. I have a good sized fence in yard, but if you prefer they be crated when I leave, or roaming my house any option is fine!

About: I am very energetic! I love to play outside with dogs. I love to play fetch and ball. I love to play in the sprinkler with dogs. I love to go on runs with dogs and make sure they are having the best time! I am always excited to play with dogs! I always make sure that they have the option to use the bathroom and always have access to water so they never get dehydrated. If they take any medicine, I make sure I have an alarm that lets me know it's time for them to take it! I always make sure that the dog feels comfortable at all times, and I always keep the owner updated to keep them comfortable and relaxed. I know your dog is your best friend, but when you can't be there with them, let me take care of them until you can! I do have base access! I have a very open schedule throughout the week and would love to play with your fur baby while you are away! So don't you worry, they will definitely get loved on until you get back! One way I ensure your baby is safe is by always going outside with them even when it's bad weather! I try to always make sure that your fur baby feels calm and safe no matter the situation. Another way I make sure they are safe is ensuring they are not in an area they are not normally allowed in alone. If we were to go on a walk or an adventure, I'd make sure they have on their collar and leash and of course send you lots of pictures while we're out!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
