Brea and Jeff always do such a wonderful job with our little pups! I will ALWAYS book with them if I can, if I need a dog sitter. They are probably the best in the area and are just simply fantastic.

Kylee was absolutely wonderful with my two anxious fur babies. Not to mention she reduced my anxiety with her frequent texts and pictures. I just loved Kylee and I would highly recommend her to everyone. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Kylee. 🩷🩷🩷

About: Our background is heavily centered on all breeds (including working breeds and large, powerful dogs). We know that strong, high-energy pups require confident handlers who understand how to maintain clear boundaries, structure, and a calm environment. If you have a large dog or a breed that other sitters might find intimidating, they are completely safe and welcome with us. Our Expertise Includes: ● Behavioral Understanding & Training: We have a deep grasp of behavioral principles and positive reinforcement. We focus on reading canine body language to prevent stress and keep a multi-dog environment completely harmonious. We even implement advanced mental enrichment and communication systems at home (like word-button training!) to keep smart minds sharp. ● Structured Routines: We know how critical consistency is for a dog away from home. We strictly mirror your feeding, crate, and medical schedules to ensure a seamless transition. ● Valley Heat Safety: As locals, we are experts in managing desert summers. We know exactly how to look for signs of heat stress, protect paws, and keep dogs thoroughly entertained indoors when it's too hot to be out. Whether your pup needs a structured environment to burn off working-breed energy or a patient, gentle approach for a shy dog, we have the skills and experience to make their stay a 5-star experience. Our Availability & Service Schedule: Because I am a stay-at-home mom, our schedule is incredibly flexible, allowing us to offer top-tier care whether your pet is staying with us or we are visiting them at your home. Here is how our routine works across our different services: 1. For Boarding & Doggy Daycare (At Our Home) Round-the-Clock Supervision: I am home full-time during the day, meaning guest pets enjoy constant companionship, frequent potty breaks (every 2–3 hours), and strict adherence to their feeding schedules. Beat the Heat Routine: Mid-days (8:30 AM – 4:30 PM) are strictly for indoor relaxation in the AC, puzzle toys, and mental enrichment. Outdoor playtime is kept to the cooler morning and evening hours. Drop-off & Pick-up Flexibility: Since I am anchored at home, we can easily accommodate flexible drop-off and pick-up windows between 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM to match your travel or commute schedule. 2. For Drop-ins & Check-ins (At Your Home) Flexible Daytime Visits: If you need someone to check in on your cats or dogs, feed them, scoop litter, or let them out for a midday potty break, I am available for local neighborhood visits during the day. Tag-Team Coverage: My husband, Juan, tags in during his off-shift hours and weekends. This team dynamic means we have excellent availability to cover early morning, evening, or weekend check-ins when you are stuck at work or out of town. Real-Time Updates: For every check-in, you’ll receive an immediate update, photos of your pets, and confirmation that they are safe, fed, and happy. Weekends & Holidays We have fantastic coverage for weekend boarding and house check-ins. While Juan handles a couple of overnight work shifts, I am home sleeping right alongside our boarding guests, and Juan is fully available during his weekend daylight hours to help manage the routine or conduct visits. We treat your pets and your home with the utmost respect, providing a structured, safe, and loving environment every single time! We believe that peace of mind is the most important thing we can give a pet owner. Our home is set up specifically to prioritize structure, security, and absolute transparency. When your dog stays with us, they aren't just crashing on our floor—they have a space tailored entirely to their safety and comfort. The Dedicated Dog Room & 24/7 Camera Access We have a fully dedicated, climate-controlled guest room in our home exclusively for the dogs we watch. Individual Kennels: The room is equipped with high-quality, sturdy crates. Every dog has their own secure kennel for sleeping, structured downtime, and feeding. This prevents any multi-dog friction and gives your pup a quiet, safe space to decompress. Your Personal 24/7 Live Feed: We believe in complete transparency. We have a secure, high-definition pet camera set up in the dog room, and we give you direct access to the live link 24/7. Whether you are at work, at a dinner, or on a flight across the country, you can log in at any second of the day or night to see exactly how your pup is resting and relaxing. Backyard & Home Security Fully Fenced Yard: Our backyard is completely secured with a sturdy fence and locked gates. Dogs are never allowed outside unsupervised; either Lesly or Juan is always in the yard monitoring playtime. Separate Feeding & High-Value Items: To eliminate any chance of resource guarding, all dogs are fed completely separately inside their own kennels. Toys and treats are strictly monitored and handed out individually. Child-Safe & Pet-Safe Environment: Because our home is run by a full-time stay-at-home mom, our living spaces are kept meticulously clean, organized, and free of any hazardous items or loose chords. Health & Heat Safety Protocols Living in the Valley, we take heat safety incredibly seriously. We actively monitor the indoor temperature of the dog room to ensure the AC is running perfectly. We strictly adhere to your specific medication schedules, dietary restrictions, and emergency contact protocols. We maintain a low-occupancy, high-attention home. By capping our guest list, keeping a dedicated space, and giving you an open window into their room via our live camera, we ensure your dog gets a safe, luxury boarding experience while you get total peace of mind.

About: I have been the go to for many families to take care of their fur babies for many years. I have walked dogs bigger than me, given medicine to blind cats, and helped elderly dogs find their way outside. I am an online college student who would love to have your pets keep me company while I complete my classes. My schedule is very open to be able to give your fur baby the attention they deserve. I adapt so your pet doesn't have to. I can get up early or stay up late to meet their needs. Everyone has a different schedule I can adjust to to make the transition easier on their pets.

About: I have taken care of dogs for over a decade. From the high energy all play dogs to a more relaxed, couch loving pup, they are all welcome. My own dog is a very shy/timid dog so do not worry I can handle those as well! I know a couple tricks for that un-potty trained puppy and I have plenty of love to give that senior dog as well! I am currently in school studying to become a vet! I will have plenty of time to care for your dog as my classes are online at home. They will get all the attention required. I have a walled backyard and spray regularly for scorpions/other critters. I also have a 7 year old mini aussie that would love to make a new friend and we walk around the neighborhood all the time if your dog would like to join us! Its quiet in my neighborhood… perfect for play and relaxing!

About: I will abide by your preferences and always prioritize safety first. I have cared intensively for pets who have suffered both illness and injury. My corgirl Autumn developed sudden paralysis last year. She and I have since conquered her IVDD together through dedicated home therapy, prescriptions and an abundance of love, patience and a few wheels! I have administered medication via feed syringe and tablet to my childhood kitty who was born with FIV and dressed wounds for other pets. These experiences forever softened my heart and solidified a mutual respect. I will care for your pet by any means necessary, as I do my own. As a Flight Attendant, my schedule is posted one month in advance so I will diligently update my availability. Pet care fits my routine perfectly and I’m eager to walk your pup to keep us both active! I walk my dog three times a day, making sure to switch up the scenery when I can. Up early to beat the heat, midday refresh, and a late night outing makes sure there’s no overnight discomfort or accidents. With a flexible work schedule, I’m able to offer services weekdays and weekends! I am a lifelong lover of creatures of all kinds! I believe animals connect instantly with those who possess a kind heart and good intentions, so I’m honored when there’s a mutual trust right away, but I will work diligently to win over your shy guy! I’ve had consistent positive experience with pets throughout my life beginning the day I was born, arriving home to be greeted by a brand new puppy! We were inseparable for 16 years! I have been taught unwavering compassion and dedicated nurture from raising my courageous little corgi (4yo) and will not hesitate to treat your sweet like family!

About: We've been caring for pets since we were both about 5 years old, with Gary's grandparents owning a farm & ranch in Montana growing up. Karen's family bred poodles since she was born. We're good at training puppies, and adult dogs as well. We love playing fetch much of the day with our Tilly and will do what your pet loves as well! We've cared for HUGE birds, tiny birds, chickens, cats, dogs large and small, rabbits, cattle, horses and pigs. We have also administered various types of medicine and cared for different types of infections, teaching owners as well. We love to snuggle with them and give them lots of attention! I, Karen, am used to cooking holistic meals for our dog and will care for your pet according to your instructions as well. We enjoy walking them, swimming with them and petting them often. They deserve it! They rely on us for their WHOLE well-being. Consistency is so important for animals so we will respect and follow the plans you lay out for them. We can also gather mail, water plants, do housekeeping, organization, gardening and more. Gary is a great handyman should the need arise during a sit. He maintains our pool and irrigation systems and makes any repairs needed. We're truly a great team!❤️ This is our sole work so available most of the time! Of course it depends on the type of care you need and if it works along with another sit. For example, we could walk your dog daily and have an overnight sit that allows for a short leave for that. We are very attentive, loving and kind! Our goldendoodle Tilly is on a nice schedule for exercise, eating, supplements and only healthy treats. We keep her clean and always look her over for any wounds and whatnot. We keep a clean home with uplifting music for pets. Also, we're very cognizant of pet signals, like needing to go potty, play, snack, snuggle and wanting general attention. It's one of those things that you get blessed by for just BEING a blessing to them!💛

About: I have always been a pet owner growing up. More recently, I have been a dog owner for 20+ years. However, my mom wanted company, so he's staying with my mom now. I miss seeing a dog so excited and having company at home. I feel like my place is empty. I usually take care of my friend's pets when they're out of town. So I thought why not pet sit for other people?! Spread the love!! I love dogs and cats alike! Each pet has their own personality, and it's fun to get to know them! For me, pets are always and will always be family. I'll be the favorite aunt for your pet. Book me and you know your dog will be with family! I work full-time, but my apartment is just 15 minutes from my office, so I’m able to swing by midday to let dogs out, feed them, and spend some quality time together. Pet care is a genuine part of my daily rhythm — not squeezed in around the edges. On evenings and weekends, I’m home and available for longer walks, playtime, and settling in together. My approach to pet care depends on the specific service, but the goal is always the same: keeping your pet safe, comfortable, and on a routine that feels familiar to them. For drop-in visits, I follow your instructions closely for feeding, water, and any medications, then spend quality one-on-one time playing or cuddling before I head out. I always do a final walk-through to make sure everything is secure. For walks and runs, I match their pace and route to what suits them best, whether that means an energetic morning run or a relaxed neighborhood stroll, always keeping them leashed and close. If your pet stays overnight in my home, I treat them like part of the household — consistent feeding times, plenty of attention, and a comfortable space of their own, with anything hazardous kept out of reach. No matter the service, I send photo or video updates throughout, and I’m always just a message away if you have questions.

She was always made a point to check in with me about what's going on. She would let me know what times she had to leave. She checked in to make sure that works for us. She took very good care of my babies. They were very happy with her. I recommend her to anyone. She is a responsible person, she would check in with me if she had any questions for me.

About: I have taken care of animals since I was 4 years old and I got my first puppy. I raised that puppy and another until they got to be 14 and 16 years old. I also had many pets in-between, from hamsters, bunnies, fish, tortoises, lizards, and more ! I have always been the person my family and friends go to to care for their pets. Not only do I watch and sit for them, I also do grooming and health care if needed. I care for my pets most of the day, playing, feeding, and spending time with them. I have a lot of time to care for pets. I make sure pets are happy and healthy. They have appropriate feedings, fun and safe playtime, and they are picked up after in case there are any messes.

About: Hi! My name is Nicole and I'm a Veterinary Technician with 8 years of experience of pet and house-sitting and a Bachelor's degree in Animal Science. Caring for animals has always been my passion, and I'm excited to offer my care and variety of services for pet owners looking for dependable, experienced care. I have hands-on experience caring for a wide variety of dog and cat breeds, including puppies, seniors, and pets with medical needs. My services include dog walking, drop-in visits, pet sitting, feeding, medication administration if needed, playtime, potty breaks, litter box cleaning, and, of course, plenty of love and attention. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, and I strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, and happy while you're away. I work full-time as a Veterinary Technician, so I'm primarily available during early mornings, evenings, weekends, and select holidays, with occasional weekday availability depending on my schedule. If your pet is friendly with other pets, I'm also allowed and willing to bring them with me to work so they are in my company all day. FAQs for House Sitting - Gold Camp

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of August 2026, there are 1,709 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Gold Camp. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Gold Camp walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Gold Camp maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Gold Camp choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Gold Camp. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
