“We LOVE Bertie and family! They take the sweetest care of Piper and make her feel like family. We never have to worry when we leave Piper because we know she will be loved on by everyone- especially their sweet kids! Bertie and family are our go-to sitters and have watched our pup more times than we can count. We can’t speak highly enough! A must use if you want your pup to get the best care!”

“Svitlana was SO sweet and very patient with our shy boy, Enzo. She was very accommodating and easy to work with. Enzo is usually extremely reserved with new people, but it was clear that he immediately trusted her and felt comfortable with her. She was great with sending pictures of Enzo and keeping us updated. We would love to use her again in the future!”

“Heather was absolutely great! She would send me updates and photos of Maggie. She did a wonderful job at the meetup to confirm this would work, and while she watched Maggie I had zero concerns and knew she was being taken care of.”

“Jenny was great! This was our first time leaving our dog at someone else’s house for the weekend and I couldn’t be happier than having him stay with Jenny! She was very on top of responding to messages and sent plenty of pictures while we were away. Our dog has not yet learned to be off leash, so she had a great idea to let him roam around and play in the closed off barn with the other dogs. He came super happy and worn out. I highly recommend Jenny!”

“Charissa and Alex are phenomenal. My huskies, Koda and Stihl have boarded with them twice. I recieved updates and photos of their stay while on my vacation. They even brushed them their first stay and sent photos. Anyone with huskies knows how much work grooming is alone! They were able to get both Koda and Stihl to walk gently on a leash while in boarding. Very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful people. I plan to do training with them too!”

“Julie and her family took wonderful care of, spoiled really, our dog Waffles. We are so thankful to have found Julie. We give Julie our highest recommendation for caring for other dogs.”

“Our doodle had a great visit with Christine and Charles. We received regular updates and pictures on how everything was going. Their location & setup provides everything a pet needs. Looking forward to using their services in the future.”

About: Having had dogs and cats my entire life, I am well prepared to take care of your furry friend. Having had a dog with severe allergies, I am also prepared to take care of any pets with chronic health conditions that require more attention As a medical student in a hybrid learning environment, I have a flexible schedule that provides me the time to tend to your pets as needed. Caring for my own dog, your pet can fit seamlessly into our schedule for walks, bathroom breaks, and play time. I take all pets on several walks a day, providing them ample time to exercise and play outside. In caring for my clients home, I will make sure their pet abides by all house rules and maintain a clean living space for their home.
“Yana is amazing! She took such great care of my dog and sent daily pictures and updates which gave me peace of mind that he was happy and healthy while I was away. Highly recommend her!”

“Micki and Skye enjoyed the weekend with Tamara and her family. They even gave Skye a little birthday party for her second birthday. We know the pups enjoyed their stay because they slept the entire day after we picked the up. It was a pleasant experience for all of us. We would trust them with our pups again.”

“Our pups enjoyed their stay with Anne! It was easy to communicate with her and she sent lots of photos and updates. She took great care of them and we would use her again in the future. Thanks Anne!”
About: I've been taking care of animals of all kinds since I was 12! I started volunteering early with a local humane society and have been active in rescues ever since. I have also fostered dogs from two months-10 years old, including medical fosters, so I'm comfortable giving pets medicine if need be. I currently work at UVA in their communications office, where I have a lot of flexibility, especially on Thursdays and Fridays when I work remotely. I'm available most weekends and many holidays! I live in a shared house with a unfenced backyard and a couple of roommates, both of whom love dogs! There's a trail near me that I enjoy walking dogs on if they are OK with other people/dogs. Otherwise, I take dogs on walks once or twice daily.
“Lindsay gave exceptional care to Maple. She kept us updated during our time away, and Maple was so happy to stay there. Would return to Lindsay in a heartbeat.”

“Laura kept our 9-month old, 70lb 'puppy' for a week and we had a great experience. Laura was prompt, easy to deal with and kept in regular touch with us while we were away. Our dog had a learning curve to contend with - it was her first Rover experience and her first time living around other dogs. Laura handled it all without complaint . She provides lots of room to run, play and be free at her space.”

“A 3-month old puppy is not easy, but I had a family emergency and had to find support fast. Natalie quickly accepted my request, and was great with answering all my questions (I’m new to the app). She took great care of Oliver, and gave him all of the attention an active puppy needs!”

“Kirstin is the best! Can’t say enough good things! Our new rescue puppy Sky is a little timid and needs lots of reassurance. Kirstin provided such a calm & cozy place for her last week & sent lots of updates and pics. I had a great vacation knowing Sky was safe, having fun & even napping with Kirstin’s kitty!”

“This was the second time that Abigail watched my dog Charlie. He was so excited to see her again! She took great care oh him! She even made him a bag of homemade treats! She’s absolutely amazing!”

Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
99% of sitters in Glenmore can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Glenmore.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in VA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
