About: Hi! I’m Alexis, and caring for animals has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life, so I know they aren’t “just pets”, they’re family. I genuinely love getting to know each dog’s unique personality, whether they’re energetic and playful, shy and cuddly, or somewhere in between. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away, and to care for them just as I would my own. About: I’ve worked with animals for as long as I can remember. I used to train hunting dogs and have fostered for paws regularly. I am used to watching dogs of all ages. I am a mom to a 3 month old and I am currently in nursing school. I am home most of the time other than the occasional errand and one 1.5 hour class on Tuesdays. My fiancé works during the day and is home by 4, so we go on lots of walks at the parks with our own dogs. I love to keep my dogs active and their mind busy. I go on multiple long walks and go to the park often. I love to challenge their minds with fun toys that stimulate the brain.

I currently have the flexibility to stay home full-time, with the exception of occasional appointments and a few hours on Wednesday evenings. This allows me to dedicate ample time throughout the day to walks, playtime, personalized care, and focused attention for each pet in my care. For a home in the city, we offer a generously sized, fully fenced backyard that provides plenty of space for pets to run and play safely. Our neighborhood is quiet and secure, making it ideal for walks if desired. About: We have housetrained countless puppies in a wide range of breeds, and routinely care for all ages. We have served so many fellow military families by caring for their companions in our 8 years stationed at Ft. Benning, which began as word of mouth just helping others take leave or tdy and is now also here on Rover. We have greeted new families to the area, and sent many along with well wishes as they continue their journey to a new base. We have alot of knowledge and experience working with animals, and are dedicated to responsible and intelligent care for those so important to others; understanding what makes a particular breed unique and filling their required needs, most especially providing the necessary amount of exercise and stimulation their breed needs to thrive and be happy. This is a fulltime job that our family of 9 is well-equipped and well-seasoned to provide due to our flexible home schooling schedule and 24/7 at home care schedule. We are a small farm with many animals, our life revolves around animal care and we are home nearly 24/7. We used to take high energy breeds that i ran with for miles but im getting older and so are our guests, we prefer to take it slow and chill with a cup of coffee and a good bone or catnip mouse. We customize activities based on how they respond to their surroundings. Some prefer to nap in a quiet room, some keep track of our numerous song birds and squirrels at the window feeders. Those that enjoy the company of children get alot of attention and playtime, and our toddlers are convinced treat containers are bottomless. We are very careful with poisonous items such as houseplants, rest assured none are accessible during their stay!

About: I’ve had family pets since being born and continue to this day. I also worked in a vet hospital for 2 years while I was in college as a boarder and vet tech to all of the dogs and cats that came in as well as grooming needs. I’m currently a teacher on summer break so I hav plenty of time for your pets and the care they need while with me at my home or yours. I have a fenced in yard and 2 playful pups that are up to date on vaxs to keep your pet company during their stay.

About: Please take a moment to read this before you send a doggy daycare request: **Doggy Daycare/walks/Pack walks** Any pups that are dog friendly and trained on and off leash can attend. Your pup joins other well mannered pups on a weekly walk/adventure. We explore new places, practice proper socialization skills, and practice real world training experiences, This is offered Monday-Friday and a minimum of two days per week is required. Drop off/pick up services included! If your pup is not already trained and they have no major behavioral issues I offer a day train where they join us in pack walks and I focus on their training. - Growing up I always had a cat or dog around. I have also taken care of countless of dogs and cats along the way- whether they were a stray I picked up, a family’s, friend’s, or neighbor’s. I’ve always had a passion for animals more specifically dogs. For three years I worked at a dog training/boarding facility as a kennel technician and a trainer. Within the first couple of months working as a kennel technician I quickly developed a love for dog training and soon was promoted and worked as a trainer at the facility. I learned multiple ways to teach dogs different skills, work through behavioral issues, and how to better help owners understand and communicate with their dogs. From there I went on to work at a local dog park/bar for just about three years as well. I closely monitored the dogs in the park to make sure they were playing in a fair and safe manner. I had to be able to read the dogs in the park and deescalate possible tension between dogs to prevent any scuffles or accidents. Currently I work at the Dog park that has been reopened. I work one night a week there. Typically Friday. Full time I Train dogs and Pack walk. As of right now I’m doing Rover full time! However I do run a structured pack walk with dogs I’ve trained or have received previous training in the mornings and I also train Board and trains at my house/on pack walks. My schedule is open for early morning drop ins/walks, mid day, and evenings. I can do drop ins multiple times a day but please keep in mind I do not stay overnight. I can board your pup(s) overnight at my house if they have received training previously by another trainer or if they have been trained by me. I provide loving care in the comfort of your pet’s own space! When we leave for trips or go to work it can often cause our pets to feel anxious or stressed and taking them away from the home they find most comforting can often worsen these feelings, especially in very chaotic environments like conventional boarding facilities. By keeping them in their own environment it can be more comforting than boarding them away from your home. This may also be more comforting for you too! For boarding your pup must be kennel trained for when I briefly the house and for meal times! However if your pup is boarding with me they will usually be out free roaming with my pups while I’m home and they will join me on my weekly pack walks as well! Safety and comfort are my top priority when it comes to pet sitting. Finding someone you can trust is very hard. I will try my very best to keep you as updated as possible by sending as many photos as I can as well as on every rover drop in card I will leave a description about what we did during the drop in so you aren’t left hanging! On walks I will do everything in my power to make sure your dog is safe and gets the time they need to sniff, explore, and do their business. I can drop in a few times a day if you are out of town or if you work long shifts and you’d prefer your pup to stay at home. I drop by and give potty breaks,food, water, play time, exercise, whatever your best friend may need I will try my best to provide it!
