About: I have owned dogs since I was a kid and still do. I have had experience with many different breeds and ages as well. I have experience with cats but I have been attacked and they make me nervous but with the appropriate introduction I am just fine. I care for my neighbors dogs quite often as he’s a firefighter and I have been doing that for over 2 years. I have trained many young dogs but i’m not a dog trainer. I go to school full time but only attend 3 in person classes, but I can let you know my school schedule upon request. I also work part time at night starting at 4, again I can provide a schedule upon request. Your pet’s safety and well-being are my top priorities during every walk and drop-in visit. I take the time to get to know each pet’s routine, personality, and needs to help them feel comfortable and cared for. During walks, I use safe leash-handling practices and pay close attention to our surroundings. During drop-in visits, I’ll make sure your pet has fresh water, potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of attention. “We left Elena with our two aging dogs. Bear has degenerative myelopathy - a nerve disease that leaves her with little use of her back legs. She's still a spirited dog, but demands A LOT of hands-on attention and care. it takes considerable sensitivity and patience to deal with her everyday needs. And a willingness to clean up an occasional indoor "accident" - also part of the disease. Elena did a fantastic job with both dogs - keeping them on a regular eating schedule (which is more difficult that it sounds), making sure they stayed hydrated, providing them with loving company, and giving them opportunities to get out and enjoy the day. When Bear developed an intestinal problem (not an uncommon symptom of her condition), Elena contacted us immediately, consulted with us on next steps, and then took care of everything. In less that 12 hours, all problems were resolved. I cannot say enough good things about Elena. She is sincerely passionate about taking care of dogs and has a wealth of experience to draw on. She's intelligent, grounded, and an excellent communicator. We returned to calm and content dogs - happy to see us, but I think a little disappointed that Elena was leaving. (I should also mention that Elena took excellent care of the house and our plants.). Elena is the best. Truly.”

I start school August 15, so until then I am free to take care of your pet at anytime of the day! I treat every home and pet like my own — that means following your routines closely and communicating with you along the way so you're never left wondering how things are going. For drop-in visits, I stick to the schedule you set for feeding, medication, and fresh water, and I always do a walk-through to make sure everything's secure before I leave. I'll bring in mail/packages and rotate lights if that's part of the ask. For dog walks, I keep to your dog's normal route and pace unless you tell me otherwise, always leash up before opening any doors, and clean up after them every time. I pay close attention to their body language, especially around other dogs or people, and I'll never push a walk if it's too hot, too cold, or your dog seems off that day. For overnight house sitting, I keep your pet's routine as close to normal as possible — same feeding times, same bedtime habits, same amount of attention and play. I treat your home with respect (locking up, keeping things tidy, not having guests over) and I check in with updates so you can relax while you're away.
