“Loved working with Kaylee. Our dog can be destructive when we’re gone and she spent lots of time loving on him. She sent pictures and texts so we could see how it was going. She asked questions if she needed more info on Joey’s routines. And she remembered to water the plants and bring in the mail and the garbage cans. Definitely recommend!”

“Levi was incredible & went above and beyond!! My husband and I flew home for the holidays and got trapped at the airport for two days. Levi adjusted his plans to ensure Pax had someone to watch him. If you need a sitter, look no further! Levi will care for your pet as if they are his own! ❤️”

“Marsha was able to help me out at the last minute when another sitter was unable to come. Dog babies were happy, house was clean when I got back. Thank you Marsha.”
“Also very attentive to my fur babies. It’s such a relief to be able to leave town and know my animals are being taken care of and showered with love. If you need a sitter look no further! 10/10 recommend!”

“Lacy is awesome! Lacy has great communication, sends lots of pictures, is respectful, and is extremely loving towards our dog. She watched our dog for a weekend in our home and she will now be our FIRST choice when any type of care is needed for our dog (a drop in visit or dog/house sitting). Thank you, Lacy!!!!!”

“Alyssa did a great job caring for our 2 cats and 3 dogs. We appreciated the pictures she sent and her prompt responses to any questions. We would definitely trust Alyssa with our pets again.”

“Ian did a great job of dog sitting for me. He was quick to communicate right from the start. I have a senior dog, and he really understood her needs, and followed the care instructions. I felt warmth & care from him toward her right away. One small hiccup came up during the week and he let me know right away so I was able to check with her vet as to what to do. He then followed those new instructions. I asked for pics & texts every day (I'm that dog mom) and he came through with great updates every day. I came home to clean home, and happy well cared for dog. I'd be happy to hire Ian again.”

“Arrived as scheduled. Communication great and included lots of pictures. Very responsive to my questions. Arrived back to happy dogs and tidy and clean home. Definitely recommend and would use again”
“Sophie is amazing. She is responsive and communicates really well. When I asked for her to come early she was gracious to accommodate us. Our dogs are well taken care of and our house is as clean as we left it with her. Thank you again Sophie.”

“Rachel was absolutely wonderful! She came for a meet and greet with dog, Lyra and Lyra loved her. She was very communicative and sent pictures every day. Highly recommend.”

“Paulina did a wonderful job with our pets. The stay was during Christmas, so it was extra special that she could stay at our home to care for our dogs. I will definitely have Paulina again!”

About: Back when I was a kid, my family owned a cattery that I helped take care of. We owned 32 cats and 1 dog at one time. Growing up, I learned how to truly take care of animals, helping deliver kittens during birth, bottle feeding, and training them to be tolerant, friendly, handleable, and able to take walks on a harness and leash. I've had many different pets since then, including a snake, fish, and cats of my own. I've always loved animals of all kinds and I've had a unique kinship with almost every animal I meet. I commonly hear "They're usually not this friendly" around new pets I meet, and at parties and other events, I'm usually found petting the dog on the floor somewhere. Since then, I've been helping my friend with their dog sitting business and decided to venture forth on my own. I look forward to meeting you and your pets! I am currently in between positions, so I have complete and open availability to help take care of your pets. If you have a special needs pet, I can work with you to provide more intensive care. I want to learn more about how you treat your pets so I can provide the same loving environment that they are used to. I'd love to be your pet-parent substitute.
“Tamara was great! She followed through the walk through of routines including food. Where the treats were kept. Chats & Circe desire for an ice cube or 2 after each feeding. She kept us informed on progress & pictures to. Definitely our go to pet - house sitter going forward”

About: I cannot imagine life without a dog. I have had cats and dogs my whole life, and have taken great care to love them and provide for them. I will do the same for your pet. I’m retired and an artist. My best friend is my dog. I love all kinds of pets. I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life and have loved them all. For energetic dogs or puppies, I like to take them to the dog park to run around free. For all other dogs, I will walk them in their neighborhood. For cats, my in-home care includes playing with them with whatever toys they like.
About: I work as a veterinary assistant at an urgent care facility in town. I’ve worked in urgent care going on 4 years and general practice for 2 years. I occasionally cat sit and dog sit. I have a lot of knowledge in my career but I also love spending time with animals and making sure they’re happy, the clients and I just overall enjoy the joy they bring to me! I work 3 12s but I am able to stop in the check on the fur babies on my lunches. I also am very flexible with times I need to go take care of them on my days off as well. I have two kitties of my own. I don’t plan on being able to board pets at my own home due to me renting a house without a fenced backyard.
About: I’ve been a trusted pet-sitter since I was 11. I have experience volunteering at TROT with my high school’s National Honor Society. As a valedictorian, I am responsible and trustworthy to handle your pets with the utmost love and care! I recently graduated from high school and have no restrictive schedule thanks to summer break! I’m available Wednesday-Sunday at any hours, while Monday-Tuesday I am available from 8am-2pm, and 5pm-10pm! I am able to drive myself anywhere in the Tri-Cities to care for your animals at home. I have a fenced yard and two kitties who love playtime, but can be put away in a room if needed!
“Debbie was great! Great communication, photos, and my dog seemed to really like her. My dogs were happy and healthy when we returned. She also watered all my outside flowers while I was away.”

About: I have taken care of pets for many years now , I had dogs growing up and would feed them, take them on walks and bathe them. I am currently unemployed & actively searching for work, for the time being I have open availability to take care of your pet whenever with timely booking :) I am able to feed, walk, play with any of your pets in your home and will be respectful of your privacy as well. I have lived around animals my whole life and have so much love for animals, I will take care of them like my own

FAQs for House Sitting - Geneva Junction
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 215 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Geneva Junction. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Geneva Junction walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Geneva Junction maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Geneva Junction choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Geneva Junction. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 92% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
