“Marsha is amazing!!! She treats your dogs like her own and sends so many videos and pictures for updates :) We were gone for 4 nights and ended up having to be gone for 5 and she was able to stay and help out last minute!! We can’t thank her enough. If you want someone who cares for your pets like family, book her :)”

About: Hi! I'm Dakota, and I've been around animals my entire life. From schnauzers and springer spaniels to Rottweilers and labs, I have experience with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. I truly believe pets are family, and I love getting to know each animal's unique quirks and needs. I'm a dependable, punctual person who values honesty and communication. I understand that life happens and not everything is within our control. Whether schedules change unexpectedly or your pet needs a little extra patience and understanding, I'll always do my best to work with you and provide compassionate care. I have two energetic kids, a Russell Terrier, and a playful Labrador of my own, so caring for animals is simply part of my everyday life. I start each day with walks, feedings, potty breaks, and plenty of pet care, and I end my days the same way. Making sure pets feel safe, loved, and cared for is second nature to me. As a full-time online student, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to accommodate drop-in visits, walks, and quality one-on-one attention for your furry family members. I have a small fenced backyard that's perfect for supervised playtime and games of fetch. I also prioritize safety by avoiding outdoor activities during extreme temperatures and always following your pet's feeding schedules and care routines. My goal is simple: to care for your pets the same way I care for my own.. with patience, kindness, consistency, and lots of love. I know how important it is to have someone you trust looking after your animals, and I would be honored to be that person for your family. I look forward to meeting you and your fur babies! I have two rambunctious kids, a Russell Terrier, and a Labrador of my own, so I understand that life with pets can be both busy and rewarding. I'm currently a full-time online student, and aside from my regular household responsibilities, I have a very flexible schedule. Checking in on fur babies is easy to accommodate and truly one of my favorite parts of the day. I love providing pets with the attention, care, and companionship they deserve while giving their owners peace of mind. I have a small, fully fenced backyard that provides a safe space for supervised outdoor play and games of fetch. My Labrador is very playful and loves having a canine companion to run around with! While my yard isn't large, it's plenty of space for exercise, enrichment, and fun. Your pet's safety and routine are always my top priorities. I closely follow each owner's instructions regarding feeding schedules, potty breaks, medications, and outdoor time. Walks are also an important part of a dog's day, weather permitting, and I always check pavement temperatures to ensure it's safe for sensitive paws before heading out.
“Ysobel watched our two pups and housesat over the July 4 week. She did a great job! The dogs loved her at first sight (normal for our cattledog, but highly unusual for our Siberian). Ysobel is highly attentive and very professional. Upon our return, I told her she could check out at 7 or 8, but she felt she needed to stay until our flight landed and we walked in the door after midnight. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her for any job, big or small.”

“This is the second time we've used Sariah for housesitting. My two spoiled pekes do well with her. Which is saying a lot because they tend to shut down when we are not home. I appreciate that she can spend so much time with them and actively communicates with me.”

“We left Royal for nine days with Kirk. That's a long time, and I was a bit apprehensive. But Kirk arrived in plenty of time to put me at ease and Royal loves him. He sent photos and videos everyday, gave me some updates, and was very neat. He has a lot of 5 star reviews for a reason. It's a huge relief to have someone so trustworthy and excellent with Royal. Thanks Kirk!”

“Rachel was absolutely wonderful! She came for a meet and greet with dog, Lyra and Lyra loved her. She was very communicative and sent pictures every day. Highly recommend.”

“Sirene was wonderful to work with! She was punctual for our meet and great, and took great care of my dog! Sent updates throughout the booking and was easy to communicate with! Absolutely would use again!”

“We've had Sophie watch our three girls twice and she is the BEST. One of our girls has a spine disease and doesn't have control of her entire bottom half. Sophie did amazing with expressing her, keeping her clean, and giving the extra attention she needed. Plus we have a one year old pup that loves creating chaos and has way too much energy at all times. Thank you for all your help Sophie!”

“Lisa was the perfect fit for our Mabel Mae. She stayed in our home and cared for Mabel and took care of our house for two weeks. Lisa was great at sending pics of Mabel and communicating daily. I could see how happy Mabel was in the pics she sent. Everything was in perfect order when we got home. It was such a blessing to leave and not worry about Mabel and to come home to a happy pup! I would highly recommend Lisa!”

“Levi was incredible & went above and beyond!! My husband and I flew home for the holidays and got trapped at the airport for two days. Levi adjusted his plans to ensure Pax had someone to watch him. If you need a sitter, look no further! Levi will care for your pet as if they are his own! ❤️”

“Loved working with Kaylee. Our dog can be destructive when we’re gone and she spent lots of time loving on him. She sent pictures and texts so we could see how it was going. She asked questions if she needed more info on Joey’s routines. And she remembered to water the plants and bring in the mail and the garbage cans. Definitely recommend!”

“Paulina did a wonderful job with our pets. The stay was during Christmas, so it was extra special that she could stay at our home to care for our dogs. I will definitely have Paulina again!”

About: Back when I was a kid, my family owned a cattery that I helped take care of. We owned 32 cats and 1 dog at one time. Growing up, I learned how to truly take care of animals, helping deliver kittens during birth, bottle feeding, and training them to be tolerant, friendly, handleable, and able to take walks on a harness and leash. I've had many different pets since then, including a snake, fish, and cats of my own. I've always loved animals of all kinds and I've had a unique kinship with almost every animal I meet. I commonly hear "They're usually not this friendly" around new pets I meet, and at parties and other events, I'm usually found petting the dog on the floor somewhere. Since then, I've been helping my friend with their dog sitting business and decided to venture forth on my own. I look forward to meeting you and your pets! I am currently in between positions, so I have complete and open availability to help take care of your pets. If you have a special needs pet, I can work with you to provide more intensive care. I want to learn more about how you treat your pets so I can provide the same loving environment that they are used to. I'd love to be your pet-parent substitute.

I enjoy playing with them, understanding their personalities and emotions, and creating a safe and happy environment for them to grow and feel comfortable. I'm attentive to theri health and behavior, and I'm able to stay calm and respond respondibly in unexpected situations. My availability is very flexible. I am usually available anytime after 9 a.m., and i can adjust my schedule when needed. I attend church on sunday mornings, but i am otherwise fully available and open to working around different schedules. I have plenty of space for dogs and cats to move around comfortably. I clean my home three times a week to keep the environment clean and safe. Emma was great and a favorite for our dog, Cora. She went above and beyond what we expected taking care of our dog. It was nice being able to go on vacation and come back without any worries. Her communication was phenomenal and care for our dog was very much appreciated. Highly recommend using her and plan to do so again soon. Thanks!

FAQs for House Sitting - Benton City
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Benton City on Rover is $51.06 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 231 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Benton City. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Benton City walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Benton City maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Benton City choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Benton City. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 93% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
