“We’ve always used family members to look after our fur babies, but this time they came on vacation with us, and we were left with no one to look after Riley and Murphy. Thank goodness we found Susan – she was absolutely terrific! Right off the bat when we first met Susan, we got an excellent first impression. She is very warm and friendly and was great with our pets. During the time away Susan sent us text messages and photos which really put our minds at ease. Our one cat, Murphy, is very timid and doesn’t usually come out while strangers are around. Susan was concerned when he wouldn’t come out for dinner. I reassured her that he would come out when he got hungry. I ratted Murphy’s hiding spot out, and she was able to feed him there the next day. About: I’ve taken care of friends and family's pets since I was young. Recently I have been pet sitting as many dogs and kitties as I can. I’m very adaptable and adore animals. I dance part time, on Monday’s 3-9, Tuesdays 7-9, and Thursdays 3-7. Other than that my time is completely flexible for pet sitting. About: Hello people of Rover! I’ve been around animals for as long as I can remember, growing up with dogs, guinea pigs and a hamster. I’m still very passionate about animals. I have corgis and still keep guinea pigs at home. When I was younger, I volunteered at HAWS as a cat socializer and Elmbrook Humane Society as a small animal socializer and cage cleaner. About: Hi! My name is Marinda and I chose to be apart of Rover because I have always loved animals. I serve as a manager at a local veterinary hospital and have years of experience when it comes to dog watching. I’m hoping this is an opportunity I’ll be able to take care of others dogs! First and foremost I read about the pet and what the owners have to say about them. This will give me a good idea for what I am getting into when I enter the owners house. I will already know how the dogs are going to act and I will be prepared. I never leave the doors unlocked/open unless advised by the owner. I will do exactly what the owner has said to do. I will always double check a dog is secured with their leash when going outside, I will also be aware of the weather and how that might switch the dogs needs when going outside.
About: I have taken care of dogs since a very young age.. I am experienced with dogs I’ve worked with dogs in the past as well as worked at doggy daycares/vets in the past. My schedule is relatively open so even if you need someone to come and walk the dog a couple times a day I can do that! I have experience with giving dogs medication and am able to help out with that as well. I watched a few dogs in the past that were seniors and needed special care with meds so I have experience in that category:) at the moment i am not working so this actually works out very well with me im relatively open for pet care:) i just have a few scattered doctors appointments throughout the week in my clients home I will make sure to follow any rules and or guidelines that are expected of the animals and myself obviously as I am in someone else’s home..
About: I have had dogs and helped to care for them for my entire life. Including maintaining proper feeding schedule, walking and exercising dogs, playing with dogs, comforting dogs, etc… I frequently dogsit (including overnight stays) for my nephew puppy (Theo, mini bernedoodle), who is now 11 months old but have been helping with him since we was 2 months old. I will be getting my own mini dachshund puppy in August! :) I currently work full-time as a nanny. However, my schedule will be changing in August, as I will be opening my own coffee shop in September. With my current schedule, I would be available early mornings (before 7/8am usually) or evenings (after 4pm usually). I am wide open on weekends. In August, my schedule will remain the same, though I will also be wide open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. In September, when the coffee shop opens I will be flexible Saturday-Monday and available after 2:30pm the rest of the week. In your home, I will always follow your established rules for your pet. I am comfortable using harness and leash, overseeing pets in a fenced in area, walking dogs, administering medications, feeding dogs, playing, etc.
