About: Hi, I'm Max! I've been a pet lover ever since I was a kid. Currently, I take care of my childhood dog, Jordy, who's about 19 years old and has several health issues. He's a sweet loving rescue dog, and I wouldn't trade him for the world. I am experienced with giving dogs medications, both liquid and solid, and cleaning them as needed. I understand that every dog has their own needs, and I am willing and able to give every dog the love they need, want, and deserve. PLEASE NOTE: Starting September through December of 2026, I will be booked every Tuesday afternoon & evening, as well as all day every Wednesday. I just graduated from Carthage College, so I have the entire summer to care for your pet! Whether that means staying overnight or walking them a few times a day, I'm ready to give them the care they need. I will make sure your pet is safe and secure in your home, making sure physical boundaries are maintained and secure. A safe pet is a happy pet!

“Jenifer is fantastic! She sent updates and pictures daily. Very happy with her care of our pups. Highly recommend Jenifer. She loves dogs and it shows. Thank you Jenifer!!”

“Tami was always right on time. All of my animals were comfortable with her. She did a great job with all of them. This was the first time we have left our fur babies with someone they didn't already know. We were nervous but now we are at ease as long as Tami is available.”

“Rachel was an excellent sitter for our senior cat, Bella. She was very attentive to her needs and kept us informed with timely comments and photos. Bella was very comfortable with her loving attention. Rachel gave prompt feedback and was unfailingly responsible. We would not hesitate to book her again for future sitting!”

“Kandice was a great pet sitter for our two cats. Her communication was phenomenal and you can tell she has a real heart for animals. It was our 1st experience with Kandice and we would definitely book her again! Highly recommend !!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since a young age in my own home and have dog sat for several families as a teenager and adult. I like to play and walk dogs and take care of their needs. I do have experience with puppies. I also have experience with cats, rabbits, Guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils and fish. I work from home, so I have some flexibility/availability during the morning and afternoon and am free in the evenings. I am also available most weekends. I love getting to know dogs and other pets. I will learn from the owners about their pets and observe their behaviors to see works best for them in our interactions.
“Brandi is amazing cat sitter, our cats love her. When we came back after long trip, I feel like both of my cats didn’t feel we were gone at all. Thanks to her again. Definitely ask her to check our cats again in the future.”

“We got our dog the same week that we had Kylie complete mid day check ins and I truthfully don’t think we would have survived the week otherwise! Willy felt so comfortable with her which is more than we could have asked. Expectations were met and exceeded!”

About: I have had dogs and helped to care for them for my entire life. Including maintaining proper feeding schedule, walking and exercising dogs, playing with dogs, comforting dogs, etc… I frequently dogsit (including overnight stays) for my nephew puppy (Theo, mini bernedoodle), who is now 11 months old but have been helping with him since we was 2 months old. I will be getting my own mini dachshund puppy in August! :) I currently work full-time as a nanny. However, my schedule will be changing in August, as I will be opening my own coffee shop in September. With my current schedule, I would be available early mornings (before 7/8am usually) or evenings (after 4pm usually). I am wide open on weekends. In August, my schedule will remain the same, though I will also be wide open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. In September, when the coffee shop opens I will be flexible Saturday-Monday and available after 2:30pm the rest of the week. In your home, I will always follow your established rules for your pet. I am comfortable using harness and leash, overseeing pets in a fenced in area, walking dogs, administering medications, feeding dogs, playing, etc.
About: Hello people of Rover! I’ve been around animals for as long as I can remember, growing up with dogs, guinea pigs and a hamster. I’m still very passionate about animals. I have corgis and still keep guinea pigs at home. When I was younger, I volunteered at HAWS as a cat socializer and Elmbrook Humane Society as a small animal socializer and cage cleaner. I also used to pet sit for my neighbor’s cats and have cared for animals while family was on vacation. I’d love to connect, and I can’t wait to meet you and your furry friend! I can provide drop-in and walk service in the mornings, mid-day period and later evenings. I do pet sitting around a second shift job. I'm available all days of the week. We have 3 dogs at home, whom we provide with exercise, affection, high quality food and grooming care. We also keep guinea pigs, and I have had a hamster in the past. I used to live with and care for cats, as well as watching cats for neighbors.
About: Hi! My name is Marinda and I chose to be apart of Rover because I have always loved animals. I serve as a manager at a local veterinary hospital and have years of experience when it comes to dog watching. I’m hoping this is an opportunity I’ll be able to take care of others dogs! I have always enjoyed all types of dogs and seem to get along with them all as well. Hope to be able to be apart of your pets life! I am a full time employee who would love to have a second job but doesn’t have the time for it, so, I fill in my easy days with Rover! It’s easy to manage with my own hours! First and foremost I read about the pet and what the owners have to say about them. This will give me a good idea for what I am getting into when I enter the owners house. I will already know how the dogs are going to act and I will be prepared. I never leave the doors unlocked/open unless advised by the owner. I will do exactly what the owner has said to do. I will always double check a dog is secured with their leash when going outside, I will also be aware of the weather and how that might switch the dogs needs when going outside.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for years! I had dogs growing up and I have my own cat now. I also have my own turtle! I work full time but am able to let dogs out depending on distance throughout the day. I am more than willing to spend quality time with your animal! I am able to stay/visit at houses to support your pet. I am unable to bring cats or dogs into my house due to my cat being a solo cat (her preference).
“Susan has been extremely helpful with helping to care for our dogs. They love her and we appreciate the help, updates and pictures. We will continue to work with her and would definitely recommend her!”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life with a mix of temperaments and breeds so I am confident with any dog. I have experience training dogs with basic commands. I also have done a lot of pet sitting in the past so I have a lot of experience. I am currently not working but am planning to be working part time but I’m very flexible and am normally able to move things around. I always make sure to clean up everything and leave places better than I found them. Along with making sure that your pet is well taken care of and happy

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Genesee. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
