Doggy Day Care Garden Valley

About: Served as a volunteer and foster parent for many rescued animals in Bali during the pandemic. My experience with animals is vast. Ive grown up with many different kinds of pets. Cats. Dogs. Birds. Reptiles. Rodents. Chickens. ducks. Donkeys. Horses. Pigs. Goats. You name it. I love all animals. I was raised in the foothills in the redwood forest. I’m a very down to earth and healthy lifestyle human who just loves fur babies of all types. I’m attentive and loving and playful with animals. I really need it as much as they do. I work early in the mornings off around 9am and then have most of the day to myself. It’s nice to have an excuse to take a dog on a walk or to lounge around with some kitty cuddles. Having animals in my home makes it feel more like a home. In my own home I will be in close proximity at all times and I will be home the entire time so I can sense when potty breaks or walks are needed. I really enjoy taking walks myself so it’s a perfect fit to have dogs over. Cats are similar with the exception of walks unless you want to leash train them or already have. I love to keep an eye on them so they don’t hurt themselves and I give lots of play time.

“Michelle was great with my dog Oakley! I was so thankful she was able to take him on short notice and accommodate whatever we needed... Her house is on a large property that's fully enclosed and in a beautiful gated community in the hills. Whether you have a big dog that loves to run around and interact with other friendly animals or a small dog that prefers to spend time inside close to people, Michelle's house is an awesome place for pets! My dog has major separation anxiety, but instead of stressing out like he normally does when he knows I'm leaving him, Oakley immediately settled in and started exploring the property with one of her dogs right after we got there! I could tell from Michelle's updates and photos that Oakley was really enjoying his time there and felt comfortable he would be well taken care of if he needed to stay even longer in the future. The location of her house turned out to be really convenient and close to where I was going, but even if I'm further away the next time I'm in town and need a sitter, I know that Michelle will be our first choice for sure!”

About: I have loved animals my whole life and have had many pets; dogs, cats, horses, birds, rabbits, sheep and more. I thoroughly enjoy being with animals, loving and caring for them. Some of my first jobs were at animal clinics, where I learned a lot about caring for animals. I was in FFA as a youth, where I raised and showed sheep, and where I also learned a lot. In my younger years I had many horses. I learned how to care for them, feeding, exercising, and cleaning up after them, etc! I learned responsibility, in addition to a deep love of animals. All of my experiences with my own animals, have made me a knowledgeable, responsible and compassionate animal care provider. I am currently semi-retired from working in the hospitality industry. I have plenty of time and I would thoroughly enjoy taking care of your beloved pets. I have an adorable mini schnauzer, Dudley, and a domestic short hair cat, Pete. I love them both so much and get so much enjoyment out of having and caring for them. We love cuddling, talking, and playing. I make sure they have the food, treats, exercise and attention they desire, and are well taken care of and will treat yours with the same love and respect that I show to my own pets.

About: I have always had dogs/animals. We have 5 dogs of our own. We also foster with a local rescue. We specialize in the squish face breeds. We completely understand climate control. We love to exercise outside and go out often to romp. I am currently working remote part of the time (office days are Tues/Thurs). We typically always have someone home and the dogs are likely never alone for more than a 2-3 hour period. Our dogs are very friendly and love to play! We do not have a fenced yard, so our preference would be dogs that are not a flight risk! We can use a flexi leash for potty breaks but that would limit outside play for our guests. We live on 2.5 acres with a lot of grass to romp and play. Our dogs do not go outside unless supervised.

Cruz had such a great time with her and her pups that she didn’t want to leave each day, and was ecstatic going back each morning. Elaine provided us with great pics and detailed updates. “Amanda was very gracious towards our very naughty puppy. Apparently, some of the nervous behaviors that we don’t see at home came out with an unholy flourish at Amanda‘s home. But I appreciate the fact that Amanda gave us a full and honest report (which is helpful for us to gauge the areas he still needs significant training) and was very kind about the negatives. The most important thing, though, was that he settled down in the car almost immediately. Our dog is a very nervous dog, so if he has had a rough time at a dog sitter, we know right away because he whines and whimpers all the way home. After leaving Amanda‘s house, he winded for about 60 seconds and then went to sleep. Hallelujah! Thank you, Amanda, for the top quality care you have given to our very low quality puppy. I am especially grateful that Amanda was willing to take the puppy at the last minute, because my husband had a hospital procedure and I had completely forgotten about making arrangements for the dog. What a godsend Amanda has been.”

About: I’ve loved and cared for animals for as long as I can remember. My very first pet was my childhood cat, who I got when I was 2 years old and who lived with me for 17 wonderful years before crossing the rainbow bridge. I’ve always had a special connection with animals and a passion for caring for them. Over the years, I’ve gained experience caring for many different types of pets, including dogs, cats, birds, fish, and more. I currently have two Dobermans and a kitty of my own. I recently moved to a 2 acre property, which has been amazing for training and working with my dogs, they’re truly thriving with the space and lifestyle they deserve. To me, pets are family, and I always strive to give them the best care, attention, and love possible. I’ve also rescued and fostered kittens in need, helping them find safe and loving forever homes. Caring for animals genuinely brings me happiness, and having them in my life has always been incredibly fulfilling. I currently work part time and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time, attention, and care to your pets. Pet care naturally fits into my daily routine since I already care for my own animals every day. At my home, pets have access to a large, secure fenced yard for safe outdoor time and exercise. I also have spacious fenced in kennels available if needed for safety, rest time, or individual comfort. Pets are always supervised, given plenty of attention, and cared for in a clean, calm environment. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always respect their routines, instructions, and house rules to help pets feel comfortable and stress free in their familiar environment. I like to check in with pet parents often, sending pictures and updates to give them peace of mind while their pets are in my care.

About: I have taken care of personal, friends, family, and strangers animals since I was about 8! I had animals in the 4H and FFA and have dealt with numerous species including dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, fish, reptiles, and all livestock. I have also had my own of numerous since I was a small child. I currently have a part time job and am available most days of the week! I am also an online full time student at Sierra College! I have a large fenced yard of over 10 acres and 4 other kenneled friendly babies that could come out and play! I would only let out one at a time as I don’t want your pup getting too overwhelmed! We have a nice neighborhood to take walks through and so many things to see!
