About: I currently have a 7 year old cat who is like our child. I also grew up with a cat (that was with me for 20 years!). But my real love for cats started when I started working in animals hospitals, and I discovered that I have a knack for handling the more temperamental/fractious cats. Winning over a shy/scared cat is so rewarding (and takes patience). I am able to give medications if/when needed, but mostly I just want to cuddle them 💜

About: Hi! My name is Victoria, and I’m 27 years old. I work a hybrid remote schedule, so I’m home most of the time with my three-year-old Husky, Thorfinn. I grew up around dog rescue and was used to having 8–10 dogs in the house at a time. That experience taught me how to care for dogs with all kinds of personalities — including the stubborn, sassy, energetic, teething, and occasionally mischievous ones! “Amanda has been caring for Teddy, twice a week for the past two weeks. He’s an eight month old puppy and this has been his first experience being away from home. As with any new pet parent, we were a bit nervous about leaving him, but Amanda is doing an amazing job caring for him and very reassuring to us. We wanted him to socialize with other dogs in a safe environment and basically have a home away from home when we go out of town. “Amanda was very gracious towards our very naughty puppy. Apparently, some of the nervous behaviors that we don’t see at home came out with an unholy flourish at Amanda‘s home. But I appreciate the fact that Amanda gave us a full and honest report (which is helpful for us to gauge the areas he still needs significant training) and was very kind about the negatives. The most important thing, though, was that he settled down in the car almost immediately. Our dog is a very nervous dog, so if he has had a rough time at a dog sitter, we know right away because he whines and whimpers all the way home. After leaving Amanda‘s house, he winded for about 60 seconds and then went to sleep. Hallelujah! Thank you, Amanda, for the top quality care you have given to our very low quality puppy. I am especially grateful that Amanda was willing to take the puppy at the last minute, because my husband had a hospital procedure and I had completely forgotten about making arrangements for the dog. What a godsend Amanda has been.”

“We came into town from the Bay Area and wanted to do some whitewater rafting that wouldn’t allow dogs. Sara was kind of enough to watch our 12 pound shih tzu. Sara asked for his vaccinations records to make sure no dog would get sick, which was very reassuring to us. We felt very comfortable leaving him there and believe he had a lot of fun at her place playing with the other dogs. Sara checked in multiple times with updates and pictures and was very accommodating when we asked to pick him up an hour later than originally discussed. About: I have cared for and loved animals since I was a little girl. I was raised in a house with dogs of all types and have continued to have them in my life. I have two rescues, a 6-lb sweet female chihuahua and a 30-lb shy male terrier mix, that love to be around other dogs but who also are submissive to and respect other dogs’ needs for their own space. Having been a zookeeper and vet tech, I have worked on training various critters, as well as cared for elderly animals that need special attention or medications. I work from home with my husband full time and we are always ready for fur baby snuggles on our couch and bed. We also live near a canal and trails, so dog walks are very frequent in our home. Because we live farther away, we are also willing to come do pickups to keep you from having to drive to us, but we understand completely wanting to see where your pups are staying. I work from home nearly full time except Tuesdays, but my husband is home full time everyday. I am an early riser and can do early walks/pickup/potty breaks. As we are working on house projects due to this being a new and first home purchase, we are home a ton on the weekends too. If I am staying at your home, I can arrange to be there constantly because my husband is home to care for my pups. I don’t have a fenced yard, but live very close to a dog park that is fenced. I also have a canal trail right off my driveway and we walk our two dogs on it all the time. My two babies are extremely sweet and friendly with other dogs. I am an extremely tidy and organized person, so whether your pup stays with me or I come to your home, I can guarantee I will always leave things as good or better than I found them. Also, if you have any last-minute travel issues, I can almost always adapt to host longer to make sure you don’t have to stress about what will happen to your pup.
About: I have loved animals my whole life and have had many pets; dogs, cats, horses, birds, rabbits, sheep and more. I thoroughly enjoy being with animals, loving and caring for them. About: I have worked at a doggy day care that serviced over a 100 dogs and 30 cats at a time. As a kennel tech, I took care of the animals. I played with them, gave them enrichment, training, ect. I work from home most days, which means I have plenty of love to give to your pets. Honestly, I’m just looking to add more animal joy into my daily life! I’d love to care for your furry (or scaly!) family member and make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you’re away. I’m available for boardings Thursday through Sunday, and during the week I can easily fit in walks and drop-in visits. Whether your pet needs a quick check-in, a longer cuddle session, or a good outdoor adventure, I can make it work. I regularly travel between Sacramento and Pollock Pines, so I’m happy to support families anywhere along Highway 50! Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I take the time to build trust at your pet’s pace, paying close attention to their cues, routines, and comfort levels. Whether I’m in your home or out on a walk, I create a calm, predictable environment so your pet feels secure and understood. I treat every animal with the same care and respect I give my own. About: Having animals ranging in all ages since I was 5 has definitely helped but also helping friends and family since the age of 13 has been the best experience. I am available 24/7, our animals are just as important as us so I believe in having time for them whenever you or them may need it. About: Hello! I’ve been loving and caring for local pets for around 25 yrs. Some pets were young pups and kittens; some were older seniors. I specialize in petsitting at my clients homes. My longest pet sitting job was 3.5 weeks while the owners were in Italy. I have many referrals. I’ve taken care of miniature horses, Friesian horses, and a pig. (We have a lot of rural homes in Auburn area). I’m retired from a construction accounting job. We’re gladly at home most days! My shedule is flexible; if you have an emergency need for pet sitting, I’m your gal. I prefer to petsit at my client’s homes. The animals rather appreciate this. I like to meet the animal(s) before sitting so when I arrive, we have a connection. I give the animals plenty of one-on-one attention. This may include doggy massage to calm them and get to know them. Lots of walks if they like that. Potty Breaks every couple of hours to begin with, as they’re sometimes nervous or have stomach upsets. I’d like to know your favorite names for them, what your routines are, rituals, their favorite things to do. I’ve also stayed with animals after their surgeries to monitor when the owner has to work.

Our dog had never been in doggie day care or boarding (2yo) and Grant helped to supervise her very closely, allow a gradual introduction with other dogs and make sure not to allow any aggression from any other dogs. He exercised the dogs outside and let them stay outside if they wished during daytime instead of crating at all, which was great! Grant also sent pictures and videos to ease my worried mind.
