About: Hello! I’m Mags (Rover requires me to use my legal name) and I love all animals I have been passionate about dogs ever since I was a child but because experienced working with dogs and cats (and some bunnies) while working for the Humane Society of Memphis and Shelby County. I was a veterinarian assistant for one year and then became an adoptions Manager for three years. This was the most fulfilling experience of my adult life, being able to help animals and the community daily. I recently lost my closest companion, Xander, about a month ago. He was 13 years old and I had him since he walked into the humane society at two months old. Through him I gained even more experience with aging dogs, medical care and many behavioral changes as he aged. While using positive reinforcement training we navigated 6 military moves, life adaptions to aging and the introduction of two kittens. I will take all this experience and use it to provide the same amount of love an attention for you furry family members as I did for Xander. I am currently employed part time and have many days free as well as can stay over night or board animals in my home. I have a very flexible schedule and am happy to work with any client’s schedule as needed. I currently only have two cats in my home, so I’m able to provide boarding for cat friendly animals. I have a fenced in back yard and am usually not gone from the house for more than four hours. I also am available for staying over nights at clients houses for a more comfortable experience for everyone in the family.

Minnie is super shy and tends to stay under the bed and not come out for anybody, but Alexis has been doing an amazing job of coaxing her out. On one visit, she even had Minnie purring and out in the living room, which is quite an accomplishment. Alexis took care of all Minnie's needs and even took her food bowl closer to her hiding spot on those visits when she was not going to come out. About: I am an emergency nurse 2 days a week and a mom to 2 crazy girls full time. My availability on the weekends can vary because of my nursing job. About: Hi! My name's Jessica, and I'm currently in a master's program for social work! I've grown up with animals and currently have 1 cat and 1 dog. I have experience taking care of my elderly cat, who was sick with kidney disease, so I know how to administer medicine, help them to eat, and be cognizant of behavior patterns. I volunteered at my local cat shelter for 3 years, where I cleaned the cages, fed them, played with them, and groomed them. Since the majority of my coursework is online, I have a pretty open and flexible schedule. I spend the mornings and evenings feeding, walking, and cuddling with my cat and dog. I think it's important to take the time to make sure everything is secure like double checking that outside gates are closed and there's nothing an animal shouldn't get into nearby. My favorite part about having a pet is spending quality time with them and giving lots of belly rubs!
