“I booked Leilani and Jessie for the first time over thanksgiving. They came over a few days before to meet Layla and get familiar with the house. Layla is shy and they were so sweet and calm with her. I felt at ease knowing they would be checking in on her. I could tell they really know animals. By the end of the trip Layla was warming up to them nicely. I’ll definitely rebook the next time we go out of town!”
About: Hello! I’m Mags (Rover requires me to use my legal name) and I love all animals I have been passionate about dogs ever since I was a child but because experienced working with dogs and cats (and some bunnies) while working for the Humane Society of Memphis and Shelby County. I was a veterinarian assistant for one year and then became an adoptions Manager for three years. This was the most fulfilling experience of my adult life, being able to help animals and the community daily. I recently lost my closest companion, Xander, about a month ago. He was 13 years old and I had him since he walked into the humane society at two months old. Through him I gained even more experience with aging dogs, medical care and many behavioral changes as he aged. While using positive reinforcement training we navigated 6 military moves, life adaptions to aging and the introduction of two kittens. I will take all this experience and use it to provide the same amount of love an attention for you furry family members as I did for Xander. I am currently employed part time and have many days free as well as can stay over night or board animals in my home. I have a very flexible schedule and am happy to work with any client’s schedule as needed. I currently only have two cats in my home, so I’m able to provide boarding for cat friendly animals. I have a fenced in back yard and am usually not gone from the house for more than four hours. I also am available for staying over nights at clients houses for a more comfortable experience for everyone in the family.

“John was so wonderful with our dog Sable. He came every day and let her out. He played with her, gave her a treat and most of all love and attention. He always left a note on how the visit went . I would highly recommend him to anyone leaving their dog . I will definitely use him again.”
“We booked Kyla & Cody to watch our pup at their house for a weekend, as well as do a few drop-ins at our house for our other pets. They were fantastic! I really appreciated the updates and photos they sent, and I loved that they got to know our multiple pets by name and understood their personalities. They are true animal lovers and it shows. And I think our dog made a new bestie in their teddy bear of a lab Bishop!”

“My cats love Fraya! She is amazing and her love of animals and what she does shines through. I trust her implicitly and can travel with no worries. No one can begin to compare to Fraya she is an integral part of our family.”

“Alexis was super great working with our last minute schedule! She took good care of our girl and made sure to spend quality time. Also, she was very communicative and followed all directions perfectly. Thank you again!”

“Marshall is an incredible pet sitter! He is very caring, responsible, and thoughtful! Because of him we were able to enjoy our vacation knowing someone was caring for our cats just how we would! He took pictures and gave us updates on the cats as well which we appreciated! We are new to Rover and we are glad that Marshall was our first experience using Rover! Thank you Marshall!”

About: Home Environment I live in a spacious house featuring a securely fenced back yard, providing a safe and comfortable environment for pets to play and relax. My Chihuahua, who is notably sociable and friendly, enjoys interacting with other dogs, cats, and people alike. Resident Pets In addition to my Chihuahua, I share my home with two cats that I rescued from the local animal shelter. Both cats are well-adjusted and accustomed to living with dogs. Typically, after a brief introduction consisting of a few sniffs and perhaps a hiss, they are able to coexist peacefully with other cats. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Blooming Grove. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
