Safety, trust & environment
I do not do boarding of pets in my house. I do drop ins at your house, walks, and overnights in your house. I am respectful of your home and will leave it as I found it. I will clean any pet related messes that occur before I arrived.
Information John M. would like to know about your pet
I only need to know, what you want / need to tell me. Your dog's individual likes or dislikes, when / how often to go out, is he/she taking any medications, does he / she like to be brushed? If we go outside off your property how does he/she behave with other dogs? I have lived with medium to large dogs during my life, but enjoy them all. Do they like or dislike rain and storms? Would you like me to pick up poop? Currently, I am not comfortable giving pets "injected" medication. But if you teach me well and your pet is easy to work with; I could learn to do this. Update, I have given injections to a large dog. It seems the larger the better so far.
A typical day
My goal is for your dog to feel like I am a friend of the family. I will take your instruction to do activities your dog enjoys. I would walk or transport your dog to places he/she is familiar with. Whether they like to fetch or just to have a companion to sit with is all good. "To play tug or not to play tug," is always the owners choice.

Lifetime of pet care!
Pet care experience
I specialize in working with "fearful passive" dogs and cats. I have worked with deaf and blind dogs without problems. Your pets are your family and I will treat them as if they were my family as well. General announcement: My club coaching season begins at the end of November. This means I could be very limited on weekdays between 4 pm and 9 30 pm. It should not effect overnights, unless you definitely want a visit between those hours. (I usually visit just before practice and right after.) There will also be random Saturdays and or Sundays from mid-January through May that I will have tournaments. This makes me almost unavailable for those days. I will set my schedule when I know the proper dates. I do drop-ins, walks, and overnights!! I have had great success with "fearful passive" dogs. I have been with Rover for 8 years and have built a solid base of returning pet owners in 2 different States. Please read my customer reviews. I have taken care of family dogs since I was 8 years old, that amounts to over 45 years of experience. This includes caring for puppies and elderly dogs in weak health. (My career is/was in social work and youth counseling. I have a Master's Degree in Counselor Education. I have been full time pet sitting since 2019. I will leave your house the way I found it or cleaner : ) All ages and breeds are enjoyed and respected as if they were my family's pet! I love cats too! I have discounts for multiple dogs and stays of 4 days or more & 20% discount for your first overnight. (I donate a portion of my pay to the Humane Society of the United States.)
