Misty is truly amazing and really proactive with our pups. Truly a professional. We had a toenail issue during one visit and she sent me photos so I took Wolfie to the vet to get evaluated and Misty later texted to see how he was doing post-visit. The injury was his fault…chasing a squirrel and lost footing in the gravel. I know some people may find it odd to use this app but it’s legit. We receive texting and picture notifications with report cards during each visit. You won’t regret it! :-)

This is our first time using Ashley to let our dog out in the middle of the day. She is fantastic! Our dog is weary of strangers and Ashley handled the situation really well- she went at his pace and spent some extra time with him. She sent a lot of photos and a detailed description of her time with Rowan. I would definitely use her again!

About: Hi there! My name is Hayley and I have an extreme love and passion for ALL animals! Since I was a baby and got my first cat at 6 weeks old, I have grown up in a household full of animals with everything from cats, dogs, chickens, rabbits, you name it, and those animals have taught me so much, enough that I want to give back to the local community and their animals! My specialties are with cats and dogs of any age, though if you have another animal in need of service, I am open to anything and ready to learn! Currently, I have two dogs (Jack Russells who are 2 and 8 yrs old) of my own that I have raised since they were both 8 weeks old. I have knowledge in feeding, medication management, daily exercise, enrichment activities such as tricks, routine care (bathing animals), hygiene maintenance, potty training, and as always, I strive to have strong, reliable communication with owners of your furry friends! I specialize in cats and dogs BUT if you are need of services for another animal, please dont hesitate to reach out as I am willing to help, learn whatever I need to, and give some extra love to your pet! AFTER August 10th, all services will be unavailable until December as I return to school outside of the area. Please do NOT book past August 10th. Thanks so much for understanding! ☺️ Mon-Sun: 8am-2:30pm (schedule varies but I will try my best to work something out with you!!) Meet and Greets: Scheduled meetings BEFORE desired sitting dates; I come to your home to get to know you, your fur babies, and the required schedule/rules. (I leave this up to the client's preference but I usually recommend it!) (CAN provide services before/after hours when requested!!) *AFTER August 10th, all services will be unavailable until December as I return to school outside of the area. Please do NOT book past August 10th.* Thanks so much for understanding! ☺️ As I previously mentioned, I have two dogs (both Jack Russells) of my own that are 2 and 8 years old. I strive to maintain a clean space and comfortable for my pets where they can relax and follow their usual routines with no worries. I maintain consistent feeding schedules, provide daily exercise and playtime, and ensure their safety by always supervising. They have designated rest areas (although I do allow animals on furniture), plenty of enrichment activities/toys, and lots of affection of course! I also have a large yard where my dogs love to run around and play with toys (when outside, they are always supervised) and a quiet neighborhood that is perfect for walks! I am always keeping my eyes on them, making sure they are healthy, eating/drinking, and exercising correctly. In a clients home is a bit different as this is not my personal space. I tend to follow the routine/schedule exactly as written and complete the usual duties such as feeding, walking, playtime, waste/litter cleanup, etc. I keep the home clean, ensure safety over the property and animals, and provide regular updates and photos to owners during each visit. I always double check and make sure all pets are comfortable, safe, and have everything they need in their space before I leave.

About: After a 30 year career in IT, it was time to pursue my passion…caring for animals. I love all animals, big and small and look forward to providing loving care for yours. I grew up on a small farm and have owned one myself for the past 11 years, giving me extensive hands-on experience caring for a wide range of animals including donkeys, goats, horses, cows, ducks, turkeys, chickens, guineas, cats, and dogs. I’m also open to care for other furry friends as well! Additionally, I've just started Metro to Meadows Farm & Pet Sitting LLC. I'm incorporated in NC and insured. I'll work with you to provide services that meet your schedule and needs. I can’t guarantee a precise time (dealing with animals and traffic) but will be there within an hour of the requested time. Dogs are priority for schedule consistency due to the need for potty breaks. My earliest visits are 6 AM and the latest is 8 PM every day of the week. A meet & greet session is required for all new clients prior to a scheduled engagement (free of charge) to ensure the best personalized care for you and your pet. I'm very picky about how my own pets and home are cared for and will ensure the same high standards are provided for yours. Before you leave, please make sure the Contact and Pet Information Sheet is completed. I will also need access to your home/space where pets are located so this would include things like a key or key pad code, and alarm code.

About: Hi there! I’ve had pets my entire life and currently have a 6 year old Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd mix, so I’m no stranger to high energy dogs that need structure, exercise, and plenty of mental stimulation. Through caring for my own dog and helping friends and family with theirs over the years, I’ve gained experience with everything from daily walks and feeding routines to enrichment, playtime, and providing extra patience for anxious or reactive pups. I genuinely enjoy getting to know each pet’s personality and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. One of the perks of working freelance is having a flexible schedule! That means I can often accommodate daytime walks, drop-ins, and last-minute requests. I love spending time with animals, so getting to care for pets throughout my week is something I genuinely enjoy. When caring for pets in a client’s home, my goal is to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while maintaining their normal routine as much as possible. I’ve been trusted by friends and mutual friends to care for both their homes and pets over the years, so I understand how important that trust is and don’t take it lightly. I treat every home with respect, provide regular updates, and strive to give pet parents peace of mind while they’re away.

About: What sets me apart is my personalized and attentive approach to pet care. With over 8 years of experience, I take the time to understand each pet’s individual needs, routines, and personality to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Whether it’s energetic walks, playtime, feeding schedules, or simply providing companionship, I treat every pet as if they were my own. I’m reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to giving pet parents peace of mind while they’re away. Pet care is an essential part of my weekly routine, and I structure my schedule to provide consistent and attentive care. My mornings typically include check-ins or walks for pets, ensuring they start their day with exercise and attention. I also plan my mid-day breaks or work intervals to accommodate feeding, potty breaks, or playtime as needed. On days when my schedule includes specific commitments, like work or classes, I always make time before and after to ensure pets are cared for without any interruptions to their routine. My approach is adaptable, allowing me to meet the needs of pets and their owners, whether they require short visits, extended care. I strive to maintain a pet’s usual routine as closely as possible to ensure their comfort and minimize stress. This includes following feeding schedules, exercise routines, and any special care instructions, such as administering medications or specific training. I also prioritize keeping their environment clean and safe, making sure food and water bowls are sanitized and their living area is tidy. While in my client’s home, I respect their space by leaving it as clean and organized as when I arrived, ensuring a worry-free environment. When pets stay in my home, I create a safe, welcoming, and pet-friendly environment. I designate areas where they can relax, play, and feel at ease. I adhere to their usual feeding and exercise schedules and provide plenty of attention and enrichment activities. For dogs, this includes walks, outdoor play, and cuddles; for cats or smaller animals, I ensure they have quiet spaces and interactive play. I also take precautions to ensure a safe environment by securing harmful items and monitoring interactions if I have other pets.

About: My love of pet care began at age 14 when I got my 1st job working with a vet. I bicycled each morning at 6 am before school to clean cages. My love and determination has not waned over the years and I have continued, off and on, to work with vets and offer in home pet care to a diverse group of clients from birds to wolfhounds for the last 30+ years.. I am looking forward to meeting your fur family and discussing how I might provide the best care for your loved ones in your absence. As a fellow user of this service, I understand the desire for an experienced, trust worthy, capable, level headed care giver with a degree of common sense. My aim is to provide the same level of care that I would expect my family to receive as well. Your sense of confidence in my abilities to care for your family is my #1 priority. I bi-locate between Greensboro and Danville and am available in both locations and between. I look forward to speaking with you! At the moment, in home pet care is my first priority and upon approval, I can be available 7 days per week as well as on an extended basis, upon review and acceptance by both parties for in your home pet care and walking duties as well as drop-in visits. I have found most pets prefer to be in their own homes and around familiar sights and sounds to ease their transition from their primary caregiver to me. For this reason, I highly recommend in home pet care. I am willing to discuss pet care in my home on a case by case basis.

About: As long as I can remember I’ve lived with animals. Not just dogs, I’ve raised chickens, Guinea pigs, hamsters, fish, geckos, and I helped birth puppies once 😂 My partner and I are full time Pet Sitters! We are available to house sit on weekdays, weekends, holidays, and overnight. We require a meet and greet before all of our sits and prefer booking confirmation 2 weeks before your trip, but we do have sympathy for emergency situations and are always happy to help. Whenever I take care of your animal I will always make sure to take very good care of the home I’m staying in, as well as the animal or animal’s I’m taking care of. I’ve never once missed a meal time or potty break. Any Pet sitter can promise to take care of your Animals basic needs, but I can promise you your animals will be loved by me the same way as if you never left, while you’re away. If there’s any Training you’d like me to keep up with while you’re gone, just let me know and I’ll make sure to practice with them.

About: I’ve taken care of animals for as long as I can remember. My mother was a dog sitter when I was younger so that has made me comfortable around most if not all breeds. I would help her with the feeding while she took them out. Now that I’m older I have two huskies and a cat. My goal is to eventually have farm animals, mainly as pets 😂. So, my love for animals is quite enormous. I do currently work from home M-F. I can give potty breaks every 2-3 hours while working. Since I work from home your pet would have to be well mannered while I’m on the phone. They of course will be welcomed to lay around me while working and will be loved on the entire time 😊. I have a huge yard, 2 acres worth. About 1/2 an acre is fenced in for the dogs. I have 2 spunky huskies well one tends to be more lazy than anything and I have a cat that loves our dogs.

About: I’ve had animals of many kinds from tiny to huge growing up. I’d normally house sit for family and friends until I decided to join the Rover crew. I enjoy house sitting as I’ve realized pet are usually more comfortable in their own homes. I have the ability to bathe, walk, feed, and of course play with your pets! I am a part time college student doing majority of my classes online. For the time being my schedule is an empty open book waiting to be filled! I have a huge soft spot for making your pets the happiest they can be while they are with me! If they enjoy the car, cuddling up for a movie, stores, parks, or even just being in the backyard you name it and I’d love to make it happen! They will always be my #1 priority and will be in the best hands.

About: I grew up with a German Shepherd and have been caring for dogs of all breeds and temperaments for over 10 years. Friends and family have always trusted me as their go-to person when they travel or need help with their pets. Whether it’s daily walks, feeding routines, medication schedules, or just quality couch time, I treat every dog like my own. I’m reliable, communicative, and genuinely love spending time with dogs. I’m currently working from home and make my own hours, so I’ve got plenty of flexible time to care for your pets! I’m available weekdays and most weekends morning, afternoon or night. I always send photo and text updates so you know your dog is happy and comfortable. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
