About: I own two dogs (one lab and one dachshund) of my own who are highly energetic and playful with strong personalities, and I also grew up cat sitting for friends and family so I know my way around pets. I work full time remotely so I have the flexibility to take time out of my day to drive to your house and make sure your pets have a full bowl, water, and give them the outdoor time they need. I have my pets on a regular schedule when it comes to food, potty time, and playtime. I feed my pets home cooked meals as well as make sure they get plenty of exercise.
“Holly was outstanding in every way. Trust worthy, On time, attention to details, excellent rapport with our extended family of Bruce and Charco. Great price. Highly, Highly recommend. Joey Jones, M.S. Former 18th Airborne Corp United States Army”

“Absolutely amazing! So happy to have found Mary, one week before my trip to FL. She gave our two dogs so much love and attention over four days. She will be the first person we reach out to whenever we are looking for someone to walk our dogs in the future. I’d highly recommend her!”

“Paula was amazing with our animals and her communication was excellent. It’s obvious she’s very comfortable with pet care, easing my mind so I could enjoy my vacation. We will definitely use her for future pet sitting!”

About: I’ve had experience with dogs and cats of all sizes of my own and of friends throughout my childhood. (I love animals!) I’m willing to sit your pet to the best I can and to your comfort! I am a recent high school graduate and currently have a flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time to pet care. I am especially available during weekday afternoons and evenings, as well as most weekends when needed. Before starting college, I have the availability to provide reliable attention, and companionship for pets based on your needs and routines! I helped care for our family dog, Mickey who was really old and unwell resulting in his passing under a year ago. I was responsible for taking him on walks, feeding him on a consistent schedule, and giving him any supplements or special care he needed. I have also helped care for other dogs by taking them outside for potty breaks, providing exercise and playtime, giving baths when needed, and making sure they feel comfortable, safe, and well cared.

“Kayleigh was fantastic with our kitties! She was extremely communicative and let us know immediately about concerns with one of our older cats. We felt very comfortable leaving town and having our cats in the care of Kayleigh, and we wouldn’t hesitate to use her as a cat sitter in the future.”

“We absolutely love Jazmyn!! We prefer to leave our dog home when we’re out of town because she gets anxious and Jazmyn always make sure she is taken care of… and then some! :). She has taken care out our dog through the holidays and even sat with her through thunderstorms! She always sends pictures and makes sure to play with her. Our dog is always smiling and calm when Jazmyn cares for her. Hands down the best dog sitter around!”

“Ashanti was so kind and flexible with our last-minute pet sitting request! She took time out of her holiday weekend to take care of our fur babies while we were gone, and she went above and beyond to make sure they were cared for. She was great with our pets, too. Our dog loved the extra attention!”

“Bethany took excellent care of my dogs! She was able to effortlessly take care of each dogs’ particular needs and was very accommodating of all their special instructions. She was also very communicative and punctual. I would absolutely recommend Bethany and plan to use her again in the future!”

About: I have taken care of foster dogs for a while now and wanted to offer my ability's to others. I have my owner trained service dog and can keep up training with your dog or even work on learning new skills. I may not have the most experience with pet sitting for others animals but I have been fostering shelter dogs for years My job is extremely flexible so I can work when I want for the most part. This allows me to take care of all animals. The animals will never be alone for more than 4 hours at a time. I spend most of my home time, other than sleeping, with the animals playing with them, working on training, giving proper medicine and letting them run around in my large fenced in backyard. If I am at your house for a week or taking the dogs on walks would be the only time I'll be away from my own home besides work. I can then spend the time I would be home with your animals. I have a husband to watch my own animals I have 2 cats and a resident dog. They are friendly and can keep your pup and kitty company! If your dog is a bit reactive with other animals I do have a room dedicated to the dogs I foster and care for. As of current I am taking a break from fostering to care for animals on rover so there will be no dogs with unknown temperaments. If I do have any dog reactive dogs to care for I will put resident dog up in my bedroom while I take out and play with your pup, they will never be alone long
About: I've grown up with dozens of pets at a time, often being the one to take care of all of them. I'm from the south originally, so being close to nature and animals have always been something I prioritize and am grateful to have done. Friends and family have always asked me to take care of any animals that have ever needed it. From things like cats and dogs, rabbits, chickens, birds, fish, etc. A daily routine! I love pets and taking care of other things is genuinely a coping mechanism for me. To spend every minute of my day taking care of an animal would be something I'd love to do. I'm a very empathetic and patient person with everyone and everything. I believe that animals and pets have their own personality, and I think that it's the most important to know what the owner wants practiced with their animal first and foremost. I'm a very attentive and attached person though, and would never let something stray away from my attention.
“Sara was great to work with. She was flexible about meeting times, key exchanges, and more. She spent time playing with the cats and sent pictures every day to let us know they were doing well. I'll definitely contact her first when our cats need a sitter.”

“This was our first time using Rover. Crystal made our experience so easy and answered all of our questions. Crystal was very patient and kind to our fur babies . She went above and beyond our expectations and I am so thankful we found her!!”
About: I have taken care of dogs ever since I was 10. I hade my own childhood dogs that I was raising alongside myself. I have dog sit for multiple family friends, I have performed dog walking, feeding, for the local shelter in high school. And I recently got a pup myself that I have trained and have full responsibility for. I absolutely am a patient, loving, and careful dog person. I understand every dog is unique and require different forms of attention. I would love to help out in anyway I can, whether it be playing, feeding, bathing, walking, sitting. I am very flexible with my schedule! I am willing to to check in every couple hours or even walk in the mornings or evenings or midday. I care for pets based on the owners preferences. Dogs have a routine in their home and I try to follow that as best I can. This typically includes feeding , being let out, long walks(or short if that’s what your dog prefers) , play time.
“Let me start this off by saying my animals are my babies and they are my world! From the moment this young lady walked into my home. I knew they would be in good hands! I have a house full. On this visit, Peyton was taking care of four cats and one very rambunctious dog. She handled it like a champ and my dog and my cats still look for her after her visit. I needed she was there, anything I needed to change Without batting and I she did it. She’s very warm, very loving and very responsible! My fur babies loved her! If you’re looking for someone That you can leave with your babies and not look back knowing that they are very well taken care of then definitely Peyton is your gal! We we’re gone for an extended period of time and I have never left my dog ever. Actually I don’t think she even noticed I was gone lol. We love Peyton and would love to put her in one of our suitcases and take her to Florida with us! Thank you sweetheart for doing an amazing job and I know five little fur babies that are going to miss you very much! We will Definitely spread the word and you will be our go to Gal When and if we ever come back to Virginia’💜💜”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of June 2026, there are 48 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Fritters Corner. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
