“My first time leaving my pet with someone and Kelly made me feel safe the whole time! She offered to help out last minute, and took incredible care of my dog and house full of kitties. She didn’t even get mad when one of them peed on her!!! Would recommend Kelly to absolutely anyone and am so grateful to have her help, it’s hard to find people to trust with your pets but Kelly is definitely one of them <3”

About: I have been housesitting in the UK, as you can see from my reviews in photos, but now back in Michigan and reactivating my profile here. I love all animals and am sensitive to their needs and preferences, whether they are affectionate and like a lot of attention or if they are shy and prefer to hide. My usual approach for the first few days is to give treats or otherwise get them to associate me with food, and then they usually can tolerate me from there. :) I know it can be confusing or stressful at first for them to have their family gone and someone else in their house instead, but it's still so much better than going to a kennel, and I like to think of it as being a friend who comes over and helps them enjoy life until their family returns. My general housesitting process is to arrive at the previously-agreed upon date and time, texting a photo and brief message to check-in if owners are already gone. I spend a few minutes connecting with the pets and checking everything over, and then give a potty break and/or walk. From there it's about following all instructions from the owners and making sure the pets are relaxed and comfortable with me in their home, with two walks per day and lots of cuddles and play. I also allow them to sleep on the bed with me. I do not give them human food unless previously instructed -- one exception might be that cheese is a brilliant vehicle for delivering a hidden medication. I send twice daily updates, morning and evening, with photos and a brief report on how it's going and any minor issues or questions. For major issues, which I have not ever experienced, I appreciate having emergency contact information of a local family member or neighbor. I currently work long days on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so I can still do overnights on those days, but it would be best if you have someone who can pop in for a potty break a couple times during the day. Otherwise, I am totally free to devote my time to your pets. I spend my last few hours before departure cleaning up after myself, including stripping the bed (if time permits I’ll run through the laundry cycle), vacuuming, wiping down bathroom and kitchen surfaces, and straightening and tidying as needed. Owners can expect to come home to a clean space, in the same or better condition than when I arrived. I do ask that the house is fairly clean upon my arrival. That said, I have worked professionally as a cleaner and organizer, so if you need extra help with cleaning, decluttering, or organizing and would like these services as an add-on, please let me know. It’s a great opportunity to come home to a fresh start. Additional info: -Please double-check that your dates are accurate, as I can only guarantee availability for the dates we agree to and have booked. If it turns out your travel time extends beyond these dates, or if you are delayed, you can check my calendar or ask if I'm available, and I'll do my best to help, but in case I'm not able to, you should have an emergency contact who can help in this scenario. -You can rest assured that I do not cancel. I understand the stress that cancellation places on people, especially since it has been done to me, and this is not something I want to cause. I enjoy repeat customers and positive reviews. :) -Please be sure your pets and home are treated for fleas, as I am going into many different homes with pets. -I do not have guests over, it will be just me in your home. I do not smoke, and I only drink if offered one socially. -As a single woman, for my own security I keep the doors locked at all times and do not answer the landline or door, unless requested by owners and expected ahead of time, such as a delivery. -My fee is a flat rate of $35/night for up to two dogs and two cats. Rover is setup to charge per pet and I can't modify it until after a request comes in, which I can then customize. So if you have multiple pets and are quoted $35/pet when requesting, don't let it stop you, I will adjust the quote to the flat rate of $35/night if we decide to book. If you have more than two dogs, I have an additional rate of $15/extra dog to cover extra walks and cleaning. If you have more than two cats, I charge $5/extra cat. -I am fine to use Rover TOS for the first sit. I also have my own simple contract if you prefer. Thank you for reading and entrusting your pets and home to my care! I currently work long days on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so I can still do overnights on those days, but it would be best if you have someone who can pop in for a potty break a couple times during the day. Otherwise, I am totally free to devote my time to your pets. I do not have any pets at home at this time, which is one reason I am free to petsit and enjoy it so much. I give pets my full attention and make them my priority. I keep the house in tidy condition during my stay, and clean up after myself thoroughly upon departure.

“Mark and Kendall were great with our dog obi. Obi has specific exercise needs and can be particular with his routine. They asked all the right questions and followed through taking great care of obi, sending updates and pics every night. We could tell how well cared for obi was, which was a big relief going on a week long vacation. Highly recommend their services and will be using them again in the future”

13. Ashley F.
“Ashley did an awesome job with our boys when we went away for the weekend! We met beforehand so I could answer any questions she had and she was very thorough. During her stay she stayed in contact with us sending us updates and pictures of our pups, we loved this! She played with them so much and we could tell they really liked her. She was very respectful of our home and everything we asked, and it was very nice coming home to a clean house after vacation. She left us a long thorough note as well regarding her stay. All in all, she was everything we could have asked for in a dog sitter to stay at our house with our pups and would definitely hire her again. We recommend you reach out to her! Thank you again!! ☺️”
14. Ryan N.
“Ryan is wonderful with pets! He has looked after our black lab, Thor, several times (feeding, playing, walking). Ryan is very patient, kind, timely, and responsive to messaging. Thor and I highly recommend!”
15. Randi C.
“We are those hover fur parents that are constantly cautious of who watches our babies and when we moved to the area from across the country we lost our community of friends that would help us. Then we found Randi. She is amazing and was God sent. She is patient and so loving to our babies. She was always sending us pictures and we were alerted to all details. The tell was how much our pups loved her and were constantly cuddling with her and loving on her. Thanks to Randi we were able to take a peaceful vacation and now know we have someone we can trust here. Thanks Randi! 🧡🧡”
16. Arianna A.
“Arianna is reliable. She takes good care of my two boxers when she dog sits. I know they will get lots of love and attention while I am away. ”
17. Lexi C.
About: I have a big heart for all animals and have been dog walking since roughly 10 years old and have stayed at families houses to dog sit/house sit anytime they need a sitter. I am currently looking for a part time job so my schedule is very open at the moment and looking to care for fur babies in my free time. I will give them the attention and exercise they need inside and outside. I will always follow instructions and routines for your pets specific needs.
18. Cody K.
“Cody does a great job at taking care of all our two hens and cat while I'm away at work on the job, including my overnights! He follows instructions and sends videos and photos to reassure me that they're happy souls in his care.”
19. Emily W.
“Emily took great care of my 2 little girls, they were happy and fed. She also took very good care of my house, like it was her own. I would definitely use her again with no worries about my girls or my house. She also kept me updated on their progress, and won over even my finicky dog. Thank you so much!!”
20. Rylee G.
“My dog Dwight is always so happy to see Rylee. She has a very calming attitude about her that I think dogs respond really well with. My dog also loves playing so Rylee always brings her own golden retriever Phoenix to burn some energy for them both. High recommend!!”
