About: Hi! I’m Ashley, and I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life. I grew up on a farm, so caring for animals has always been second nature to me. My stepdad was the head of animal control, which taught me a lot about animal behavior, safety, and compassion at a young age. I’ve had dogs my whole life and currently share my heart (and couch!) with two of my own—Sassy, my sweet 17-year-old dachshund who I’ve had since 2011, and Oakley, a playful 6-year-old lab I adopted from the local animal shelter. I understand the unique needs of both senior dogs and high-energy pups, and I treat every animal in my care like family. Whether your pet needs gentle senior support, active playtime, or just some extra love while you’re away, I’m here to help with dependable, loving care. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. I work from home most of the week, which allows me to give my dogs plenty of attention, potty breaks, and playtime throughout the day. On the days I’m in the office, I’m only five minutes from home, so I’m able to come back easily to let my dogs out and check in on them. Their well-being is always a top priority, and I structure my day to make sure they’re comfortable and cared for—I’d do the same for yours! I care for pets in whatever way is most comfortable for them. I follow your instructions closely to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. If your pet loves their kennel, that’s perfectly fine—but if they prefer to cuddle up in bed, I’m more than happy to share the extra snuggles! Whether it’s playtime, walks, feeding routines, or just relaxing on the couch, I do my best to make every pet feel safe, loved, and right at home.
About: I’ve cared for dogs of all breeds and sizes since I was 10 years old. Friends, neighbors, and family have relied on me for daily walks, feeding, bathing, and providing plenty of love and playtime. I’m comfortable with senior dogs and puppies, and I treat every pup as if they were my own I work full-time with an inconsistent schedule, which actually gives me flexibility to help pet parents who work during the day or have varying schedules. I can often provide care before or after work and on many weekdays when others might be busy. This allows me to give your pets plenty of attention and care when you need it most. I have two cats of my own and a pet-friendly home where safety and comfort come first. Whether caring for pets in your home or mine, I follow routines closely, provide lots of love and playtime, and can handle special care needs to keep your furry friends happy and healthy.

About: My daughter and I are dog sitting for two reasons -- we flat out love dogs and my daughter is saving for college. While supporting my daughter's entrepreneurial spirit your dog will get a vacation of a lifetime. Without getting too deep into my resume, here are some highlights: -Handled five police dogs. 1000's of deployments. -Master Trainer for the International Police Work Dog Association. -Developed and taught a unique dog safety program. Have presented the hands on program from everyone to 1000's of second graders to regional UPS drivers. -Recognized expert witness in court on dog tracking, aggression, training, and deployment. -Over 75 nationally published articles on dog obedience, housing, behavior, training, etc. -Tested, certified, and trained working dogs from nearly all 50 states and several countries. (This year I've had dog teams travel to my home from Montana, Florida, Iowa, etc for assistance). I do all this because I simply love interacting with dogs. The love has spread to my 13 year old daughter. I currently have a very fun, young, and goofy dog -- a Vizsla named "Ranger." He clearly isn't a working dog and isn't a picture of obedience perfection. (I only mention this to let you know that despite my resume your dog doesn't have to be perfect and is coming into a very fun and loving household!) We've truly been a dog centered household for 20 years. My wife is a literal Saint! My private dog training rates, and I've turned down much more work than I've accepted, runs 10x the Rover.com rate we are charging. This is truly a venture that partners up youth business and the love of dogs. Long live Capitalism, dogs, and the USA!

I also have experience with giving medication to pets, if the need were to arise or if your pet takes medication daily. Do to a medical condition I am unable to work a conventional job so for the most part I am available every day of the week. About: I’ve taken care of dogs ever since I was young. I love dogs unconditionally and love to play with them, I feed them when needed, I can give baths, and I love to take them on walks. My friends and family have relied on me to dog-sit whenever I was available to do so. I will be at college very soon, so weekends are great for me to walk dogs and care for pets. Also evenings will work well for me. I have a pretty open schedule for awhile I just need to work around classes. I have a fenced in yard and a very playful energetic dog. He is very sweet but he is like our baby so we don’t like to bring other dogs in just because he can get jealous and we don’t like to risk it.

About: I have two golden doodles who mean the world to me, but aside from my own pets i have made sure to surround myself with animals my whole life so far (I'm 27 currently) i grew up helping out friends and neighboors with animal care. to me pets are not just pets they are family. I love being outdoors going for walks myself so I take a great deal of pride being able to help someone with the joy in their life and incorporating it into what I already love to do. I currently work full time monday-Thursday with friday, saturday, and sunday off. I will be available any of those three days off for any service someone is requesting, and I am open to commuting aswell. I have two golden doodles who I treat them same as my closest and dearest friends/family. It would be no different with anyone else. One of my biggest beliefs is that respect and kindness speaks for itself and goes a long way so im very geared towards the needs, wants, requirements ect... that a client has or is requesting.
About: I’ve taken care of many shapes, sizes and breeds of dogs since I was little. I personally have had a wide variety of dogs growing up. i’ve had German Shepard, Cocker spaniel, black lab, Pomeranian, pit bull and now a miniature golden doodle! I do work full time, but from home! walking a dog would be my “lunch break”, it would be my escape from work and my house. I live on 12 acres, 2 acres out of the 12 are mowed. So my dog loves to get her zoomies out around the whole house!
“We love having Kristen help us out with our dog Mae. She follows instructions perfectly and has helped us a lot with reinforcing training commands. Kristen is super punctual and we always know we can count on her 100%. It is obvious how much she really loves caring for your pet too. I would highly recommend her (and I have)!”

“Gabby was very sweet and kind. My dog lilly came home and just relaxed. I was hesitanted on letting a stranger walk my dog because she is apart of the family. I was glad I took the lep. I am recovering from surgery so unable to walk a 60+ pound dog. I highly recommend her.”

“Taylor was amazing! Yesterday was my first time using Rover and I was a little nervous about my pup being home alone... Taylor called me at work (per my request) so that I could go over how to get into my house, etc. and she calmed my nerves too :) when she got there, he had tore up his mattress pad in his kennel- she cleaned it up so that he couldn’t eat it. She then walked him, took pictures for me and played with him enough to tire him out for a bit. She was so good with him anc it was so appreciated! ❤️❤️”
About: I have been taking care of different kind of pets like dogs and cats for years. I am a serious animal lover and love taking care of them. I am a college student so I will be juggling pet care around my classes and homework, but I know I will be able to do it. I am experienced with high active pets that might need a bit more work taking care of. I am also experienced with shyer pets that may not warm up to me quickly.
About: I have had pets my entire life. I knew very young that I wanted to work with animals. I have a great love and compassion for them. I will take great care of your babies! I have a lot of experience caring and working with dogs. I have hobby farm experience (dogs, cats, chickens and a horse) as well. I am a Licensed Veterinary Nurse, therefore, I am educated in many aspects of caring for your pet. I know what to look for in case of illness, injury, etc. I can also do some other tasks, like toe nail trims, ear cleanings, etc. I am a dependable, trustworthy person who knows how important your pets are to you. I look forward to caring for your pets and/or walking your dog.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was child. My family raised our family dog since she was a puppy and even potty trained her. I also have experience teaching dogs commands as well. My schedule has changed! I’m willing to board only on weekdays. Drop-ins and walks on any day of the week! Let me know if you have my questions! I have a fenced in yard for dogs to roam as they please. My home also has plenty of space to house them and to ensure that they can have whatever set up they need. I’m willing to aid in potty training as well.
About: I live and am registered on this app in Twin Lake, MI so I will show up in that radius of search, but have places to stay near Spring Lake, MI, Zeeland, MI and Coloma, MI and can help out in those areas as well. If you know anyone in these areas who needs pet watching feel free to connect them with me. All prices listed can be negotiated by either me or clients upon confirming more details (distance to home, time of stay, ease of pet care, amount of pets, etc.) none of the listed prices are fixed but keep in mind they are an average charge. "Nightly" charge includes a "full day & full night" charge. If you wish for only a "full day" or only a "full night" of in-home stay at your home, the price will be $65. My home is not publicly available but the option isn't completely off-limits; we can discuss the possibility if it's absolutely preferred/necessary for you/your pet(s). I have access to 70+ acres of land in the family for safe dog running, including the option for guarded dog socialization at the house, if you allow. I know a bit of the surrounding areas and go on lots of outdoor adventures (river fishing, lake fishing at our Baldwin cabin, ice fishing (our Baldwin cabin & other locations), mushroom hunting, general hiking, outdoor workouts and jogging, etc...) and would love to have your pet experience these exciting trips with me, depending on your comfort. I volunteered at Howling Timbers Animal Sanctuary in Muskegon and had the opportunity to interact with many wolf-dogs, general farm animals, and other wild animals that were rescued. One of the wolf-dogs, named Bear, was particularly picky & known to have been violent with other workers but warmed up to me well on my second day working and I had no issues with him. I've always had a dog growing up, limited to one 40-60 pound at a time. I owned my own German Shepherd/Labrador mix for about a year but the dog stayed with my ex when splitting in 2016. I've been caring for my own pets at home (including cats & fish), as well as spending time with friend's & family's pets (including birds and a variety of your basic farm animals) since I can remember. 26 years of watching Cesar Millan and Crocodile Hunter with my family & living with & encountering several animals has instilled in me the skill to properly love and care for your pet. My boyfriend of 7 years (Tom Wall) grew up on a deer farm with multiple dogs constantly around as well, so if you are away or the vet is unreachable he has professional skills to assist, only if you allow. I also have close friends that are vet techs and can be reached for emergencies if necessary. As well, Tom had a blind senior Jack Russel who took oral medicine by syringe, and I've worked with similar needs on past dogs. I tend to be more strict when it comes to training dogs in certain areas (jumping up on people, obsessive/constant barking, leash tugging/distracted wandering, coming when called, biting, aggressive behavior while playing or eating, etc.) but have a very lenient heart for snugs on the couch, snackies, and socializing with other people/animals. This is all adjusted to however you allow as long as it's safe for all involved. If sitting for a puppy, I am willing and able to train for basic commands (sit, stay, lay down, gentle, etc.) all dependent on what you as the owner re comfortable with. The reality is, I do not currently have any pets because my boyfriend & I are not home often enough and understand fully that just our love and adoration alone isn't enough to provide a full, quality life for a pet. We need to be able to dedicate hours each day to outdoor time and genuine training and bonding, but right now we just don't have those resources for our own pets. Until the day we are both available enough to fully care for an animal, I will spend as much time with friend's pets, family's pets, neighbor's pets, or catch a request on here and meet a new pup. Every experience I get with someone else's pets helps train me for the future I am eagerly awaiting. I can guarantee I already love your pet and want you to know you are always leaving them with an honest, knowledgable and responsible sitter so they will be safe and content while you are out. Any mile over 15 from my staying place (in any city location) I ask to add $0.50/mile to cover the gas, travel time, and a little extra wear on my vehicle. That includes travel to/from your house *for each drop-in visit*, and each all-day visit will be a one-time to/from travel cost. (example: you live 20 miles away and need me to drop-in twice, this will be a drop-in charge + $10 for extra gas to & from, while an all-day visit will be all-day charge + $5 for gas charge.) If I will already be in the area for some reason (perhaps another client) I will not charge this extra gas fee. I am already an active person who travels often so being able to pass through an area while travelling & get in a quick walk with a dog or drive out & stay a few days with a pet is something so regular for me. Caring for a pet in a client's home will go as to detail as the owner requests as possible. I want to be sure to care for their pets the same way they would, or better, if possible, and leave their home looking as though I was never around. If I offer care in my home (currently unavailable) the pet would be a big part of my & my boyfriend's regular outdoor adventures (if owner allows) and may even meet & socialize with multiple other pets (if owner allows). I have flexible jobs and am able to provide ample attention to your pet that is required. I jog regularly and I will enjoy bringing your dog with me on the nearby trails. I do not have my house publicly open to sitting at my house. If you absolutely need your pet to be watched outside of your home, we can discuss the details when the time comes.
