About: I love animals! I have been around dogs and cats my whole life, whether they were my own or looking after friends and family pets. I am available weekends for overnight stays, long walks, play, feeding/drinking, and potty breaks and a few evenings during the week for walks, play, feeding/drinking, and potty breaks. I have no issue with picking up poop and cleaning out litter boxes. I can crate your dog if needed and have plenty of energy myself for a lot of outside playtime to help your dog burn off energy so they can rest easy at night. I will be sure your pet is well fed hydrated, and have a lot of experience giving meds to both cats and dogs.

About: I’ve taken care of animals for as long as I remember. It started with my family dog and bearded dragon which both lived a very long and fulfilling life. I currently have a border collie mix of my own right now and some fish. I have lots of experience walking and taking care of dogs. I have experience taking care of dogs of all sizes, all ages (puppy to senior), all energy levels, and various different breeds (Boykin Spaniels, Pitbulls, Pomeranians, Border Collies, and Labs to name a few). Some of those dogs were anxious and/or reactive. I also understand the extra patience it takes to care for rescues and fosters because I volunteered at an animal shelter in Minnesota when I was in high school, my dog is a rescue, and I fostered a sweet Black Lab puppy in college. I have some experience caring for cats. I’ve watched cats for a few of my friends with no issues! Something that makes me different than other pet sitters is that I’m a wildlife biologist, so I am very educated about a lot of species and am always so excited to gain more experience caring for a new creature. I handle and manage for wild animals daily. In summary, I’d love to take care of your pet and give it the love and attention it deserves. Feel free to reach out anytime! Safety is very important to me. If your pet comes to my place or if I watch your pet, I would keep them safe by following these rules I’ve created: - I don’t let dogs have huge bones or huge treats without supervision to avoid choking. - I always have the closest vet’s number written down in case of emergencies prior to caring for your pet. - I always have pet first aid supplies available just in case. - I ask about a pet’s reactivity towards dogs, people, and other animals prior to caring for your pet so I can keep your pet safe on walks.

Right before I left I had to take Smokey to the vet where they prescribed her a couple doses of medicine I thought I would have to cancel my trip but she was very accommodating and said she would be able to give her the medicine. I provide regular potty breaks every few hours, daily walks, and plenty of outdoor time. When I’m outside working on projects, dogs are welcome to be with me under supervision. Because we are on a busy road and the yard is not fully fenced, all dogs will be closely monitored outdoors. I will follow your preferences regarding leashing at all times, and I also have a secure 20-foot cable line available for safe outdoor time when appropriate. Fresh water is always available, both indoors and outside. I also currently have a calm, 12-year-old foster dog who enjoys light play and does well with other dogs. We’re located near a lake, and with your permission, I’m happy to include supervised swimming and extra outdoor activities for dogs who enjoy it. I’d love to be able to help with your pet care needs. House sitting includes: Staying in your home with your pets. This means there needs to be a clean bed or place to sleep. While your pets will be in my care I will still need to be able to accommodate other responsibilities. Your pets will not be left for more than 7hours at a time.
