1. Bei W.
“Bei did a lovely haircut for my teacup Yorkie! She was very professional and took her time to be thorough. I could tell that my fur baby was well taken care of the entire time and was comfortable! I’d highly recommend Bei for grooming!”

2. Mei W.
“Mei did such an amazing job with Lulu! She was kind, patient and was able to wash, trim and brush Lulu with no problems!! You are a life saver!! We will definitely be reaching out again next time Lulu needs a groom!!”

3. Samantha E.
“This was actually an "in home grooming" but just a cut since I had nowhere to bath her. Addie is a Giant Schnauzer and had not been groomed since July so her hair had grown out everywhere!!! I am disabled and have not been able to drive since December and had tried to find a mobile groomer which was not successful . I was so happy when Samantha agreed to take the challenge to give Addie a much needed haircut. This was not easy due to several "dreadlocks" and matting she had. She was very sweet even though Addie was not happy with her when she began the haircut. We had to muzzle her, but Samantha was was able to clip her all but beard under her chin and around her feet. She looks so much better and I love seeing her look more like Schnauzer again. Samantha is definitely good with dogs and I could tell Addie liked her until the clippers started. She is a sweetheart and I will definitely request her services again!!!!”

4. Qilian X.
“She is an amazing groomer! She is very skilled at creating adorable peach-butt and heart-shaped butt trims, and she also does a great job with professional teeth cleaning. She is gentle, patient, and takes great care to make dogs feel comfortable and safe throughout the grooming process.”

5. Ryasa H.
“Ryasa did amazing with my Nelly!! Nelly was a bit nervous at first but she was so patient and sweet with her. Now my baby looks perfect for holiday photos!! Will definitely be using her for grooming again.:)”

FAQs for Pet Grooming - Fort Ward
Frequently asked questions about Rover
Grooming prices are set by the groomer and can vary depending on your dog's size, coat, and any additional services you include (nail trims, teeth brushing, de-shedding, and more).
For a full groom, small dogs average $86 and extra large dogs average $211. For a bath only, the average price drops to $51 for small dogs and $138 for extra large dogs.
You'll see the exact price a groomer charges on their profile before you book.
- A full groom usually includes a bath, blow-dry, brush-out, haircut or trim, and nail trim. If you don't need a haircut, many groomers also offer a bath and brush only service, a lighter option that skips the trim. You can add add-on services like nail trims, teeth brushing, de-shedding, flea treatments, or paw balm for an additional cost. Check each groomer's profile to see exactly what's included in their packages and add-ons.
- Yes. Most Fort Ward groomers are happy to do breed-standard cuts, teddy bear cuts, puppy cuts, or a custom style you have in mind. The best way to make sure you're on the same page is to message your groomer before your appointment and share a photo or two of the look you want, and mention your dog's coat type. That way your groomer can let you know what's realistic for your dog's coat and confirm the plan ahead of time.
- Many Fort Ward groomers have experience with dogs who need extra patience or special handling including senior dogs, anxious or nervous dogs, dogs with matted or difficult coats, and extra-large breeds. When you're browsing groomers, look for details about their experience in their profile, and message them directly to describe your dog's specific needs before confirming the booking. This helps your groomer prepare and gives you a chance to ask about their approach to a calm, low-stress visit.
- If you're searching for a groomer in Fort Ward for the first time, visit the groomer's profile and select Contact. If you already have an active request or have booked with a groomer before, you can message them directly through the Rover app or on rover.com.
- It depends on the groomer, but popular time slots, especially weekends, can book up a week or more in advance. If you need an appointment sooner, some Fort Ward groomers do offer last-minute or same-day availability, so it's worth checking a groomer's calendar or messaging them directly to ask. Booking at least two or more days ahead gives you the most options.
Rover is built around scheduled appointments rather than walk-ins, so you'll want to book ahead of time through a groomer's profile.
Some groomers may be able to accommodate a same-day request if their schedule allows. You can message them directly to ask about last-minute availability.
Requirements vary by state and sometimes by city, so it's worth confirming with your specific groomer.
Because exact requirements differ by groomer and location, the most reliable way to confirm what you'll need is to check your groomer's profile or message them directly before your appointment.
- Service areas vary by groomer, so the easiest way to check is to search with your exact address on Rover. You'll see which Fort Ward groomers serve your area. Groomers on Rover offer two ways to get your dog groomed: some groomers travel to you, while others have you drop your dog off at their location. You can see which option a groomer offers, along with their service area, on their profile, or message them directly to confirm before booking.
