About: With years of devoted pet care, puppy training, senior support, rescue volunteering, fostering, and animal‑care schooling, I bring heartfelt, family‑level love and patient, intuitive attention to every dog I care for. Pet care is woven into my daily rhythm — from morning check‑ins to evening walks, caring for our three rescues in my wide, fenced‑in backyard is my daily cup of sunshine! Their love fuels my purpose and inspires me to help other pet parents care for their furbabies while they handle life’s responsibilities. My home was chosen with dogs in mind. Our wide, fenced‑in backyard offers shade, space, and freedom — originally built for our first rescue who needed safety, comfort, and room to explore. With no stairs inside, senior pups move easily and confidently. Every room is pet‑friendly, and dogs are welcome on furniture to relax as part of the family. Crates are available only if your dog feels safe choosing one — never forced. Our three rescues freely roam indoors and outside, receiving gentle, attentive care, and your furbaby will be treated with the same love, respect, and family‑level comfort. (Note on Profile History: If you scroll down, you will see two negative reviews from 7 years ago regarding scheduling issues. At that time, I lacked the firm boundaries I have today. I experienced burnout, took a long hiatus, and completely rebuilt my life and business. Today, I operate with strict capacity limits and automated schedule rules to ensure a flawless, ultra-safe care environment.) Caring for my three resident pup-rescues, 3 indoor cats, as well as our 13year old male cat who is feral, is my primary passion and my full-time daily focus. Because this is my dedicated lifestyle, I provide a highly structured and dependable environment for your furbaby. **(Note on my Review History: If you scroll down, you will see two negative reviews from 7 years ago regarding scheduling issues. We began to call our home "Park-In-The-Yard on Lee Ave"-- Our backyard is a park, and every dog is treated like family. Our daily lives revolve around rescuing and fostering small and medium dogs. This patient & unconditional love became second nature to us. We open our hearts and our home to your furbabies, treating them exactly like members our own pack. Daycare operates Monday through Friday with a strict drop-off window between 7:30 AM and 9:30 AM, aligning perfectly with my morning routine. Our weekend boarding begins on Friday evenings as daycare wraps up and runs through Monday morning. This predictable schedule ensures that transitions are always calm, organized, and stress-free for the dogs. **(Note on my Review History: If you scroll down, you will see two negative reviews from 7 years ago regarding scheduling issues. I enforce strict safety boundaries: I only accept small-to-medium dogs and strictly limit care to a maximum of 3 guest dogs at any time. My home features a secure, attached garage breezeway that serves as a double-gated transition zone, ensuring no dog can ever bolt near the street during drop-offs.Inside, my home is a staircase-free, pet-friendly environment where dogs are welcome to lounge on the furniture, beds, or right in my lap. Crates are entirely optional and only used if a dog seeks one out for feeling safe and secure. Our wide, securely fenced chain-link backyard is a true outdoor paradise built for comfort, safety, and freedom to experience zoomies! A custom area with a patio cover which provides adequate shade and has a dedicated cooling station, cooling mats, and a small dog pool with a water hose for fun, safe summer splashing.

I am so grateful to Kim for watching my dog for daycare. Tuna had a great time hanging out with resident pup, Bella; they ran around in the enclosed back patio and she got to hang outside on the deck which is her favorite pastime while waiting for me to pick her up after work. Kim's son took her on multiple walks each day, including first thing in the morning which gave me peace of mind and made our morning that much easier. I could tell Tuna liked spending the day there which is super important to me; we'd love to be a repeat client due to our positive experience!

Tatiana was amazing! She took care of my two pups very last minute and was very understanding if we were later than expected! Sent me pictures and updates throughout the day 😊. She treats them like they are her own. She also was very considerate with taking everything slow with them (introducing to her dogs). She’s an awesome pet sitter and definitely will be using her again!

Tiffany is a wonderful host, and Sunny had a terrific place to stay. A big comfy couch for the pups, a doggy door leading to a big fenced yard, and three very friendly pups of her own. Looking forward to a return trip later when we’ll be gone for a week. And looking forward to checking out the delicious looking cakes, cupcakes, & cake pops she custom makes!

This was my first time using Rover and, remarkably, my first time leaving my dog Maddy with someone in their house, and not my own. Lori was wonderful! She answered all my questions before the day, and answered so promptly too. Maddy and Lori's dog Rees were very compatible, even though Rees is much bigger than Maddy. When I came to pick up my dog, Lori said Maddy missed me and was a bit subdued, but that's to be expected for the first time. Maddy was perfectly fine, and happy to see me when I came to pick her up. I will be booking with Lori and Rees again. Practice makes perfect!

About: Hi, I'm Meg and I have been caring for and working with animals almost my entire life. Growing up I would come home constantly with some sort of new animal friend asking if I could keep it. My parents always said yes of course but were very strict when it came to caring for the animal myself, so I have learned a lot over the years. I currently own a dog, two reptiles a snake and a blue tongue skink, and two parrots a Nanday Conure and a green cheek conure. What makes me different I would suppose from other sitters and walkers is I have more in-depth knowledge when it comes to dogs and other animals. I worked at PetSmart for about 6 years and learned all about nutrition, proper toys, and techniques to help dogs and owners learn. I also worked in pet care where it was my job to know proper diets and habitats for reptiles, small animals, birds and fish. I needed to know signs of illness or stress. I moved on in the company as a certified dog trainer. I worked with all kinds of breeds and all sizes. From being a dog trainer I know signs of stress and anxiety and how to help a pet dealing with that. I can help with potty training, basic commands, loose leash walking, tricks and lots of other things. I love animals and couldn't Imagine living without them so I understand what its like to have that piece of mind while away.

About: 🐾🏡 About Me Hi! I’m a lifelong dog owner, trainer, and former kennel manager with experience caring for all breeds, ages, and personalities. My home is active and structured, with plenty of playtime, exercise, and enrichment. I currently share my home with Border Collies, Labradors, and a few mixed breeds, and we’re active in dog sports like frisbee, obedience, and dock diving. Whether your dog is social or needs their own space, I can accommodate them — as long as they are people-friendly. I strive to make dogs feel comfortable, safe, and happy while you have peace of mind. 🐶 What Your Dog Can Expect Safe, structured, and enriching days: Morning play/walks, breakfast, digest & rest breaks, afternoon activities, and evening wind-down. Large fenced backyard + indoor play area for all weather. Crate-based routine for meals, rest, and overnight for safety and comfort. Daily updates: Photos, videos, and notes so you stay connected. Personalized attention based on your dog’s personality, energy, and needs. 📍 Convenient Location Just 3 miles from Albany Airport Near I-87, I-90, and I-88 — perfect for travelers ✅ What I Provide Expansive fenced yard & indoor play space Wide collection of dog equipment (bring only collar, leash, and food) Experience with puppies, seniors, reactive dogs, and multiple breeds Knowledge of breed-specific needs, safety, and bloat prevention 📌 What I Need From You Vaccinations required: Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella Crate-trained dogs only What to bring: Collar, leash, and food (please no beds) Daycare: All daycare dogs require to ha e a m&g and a trial day before being able to book freely. Drop-Ins/House Sitting: Meet & Greet required. Keyless entries only, will not keep keys. 🗓 Drop-Off & Pick-Up Morning: 6:00–7:30 AM Evening: 6:00–7:30 PM No Saturday evenings or holiday exchanges Please specify a time to avoid overlap — residential area, so we keep things calm for neighbors and dogs 💬 Meet & Greets Recommended for all new clients Please schedule at least 2 weeks prior to your stay 📅 Routine & Peak Season Peak Season: May 1 – September 30 Structured routine: multiple outdoor sessions, playtime, meals with digestion breaks, rest periods — no free-for-all boarding ✨ Why Choose Me? I live and breathe dogs — training, sports, and overall enjoyment are my passion. Your pup will get safe, structured care, plenty of exercise, and personal attention while you get peace of mind and daily updates. We keep a very rigid structured routine. Our day starts between 6-7am, with initial let outs--group play if appropriate to get that morning energy out. Then we settle in for breakfast time, all dogs rest 30 minutes prior to meals, 30 minutes to eat, then followed by another 30-60 minutes to digest. This helps prevent bloat( while any size dog CAN bloat--most often occurs in larger/deep chested breeds, but I take no chances). We then are in and out throughout the rest of the day when dinner time commences between 5-6pm, repeating the same 30-30-30/60 routine. Last let outs and romps wrapping up around 10-11pm. I don't operate a free for all. Fully fenced in yard. Specifically zoned areas for potting and play. Daily house keeping services including vacuuming and daily crate wipe down and disinfection. Dogs are outside as much as we can be, under direct supervision weather permitting.

As of August 2026, there are 290 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Fort Hunter. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Fort Hunter commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 290 sitters in Fort Hunter, 89% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
