“Caroline was super helpful and flexible as we rolled into town to check out the Arch and needed a dog walker/sitter for our Goober. She had great communication and was excellent to work with!”

“Did a great job caring for my pup! Gave her long walks, updated well, showed up on time, and hassle free with instructions for building access and care for my pup.”

“Tammy has been doing daily weekday walks with my dog about about two months now and does a fantastic job. She treats my dog with love and care and is very reliable. In rare cases when a scheduling conflict came up, she let me know well in advance so I could plan for it. I couldn’t ask for a better person to walk my dog.”

“Lara is great - she handles my large dog with ease - he can be leash reactive and that requires expertise. And she is consistent and timely and reliable. What else could you ask for?”

About: I am a volunteer dog walker at a local shelter so I have lots of experience with walking and handling all sorts of dogs. I have a 14 year old Husky mix and 6 year old Alaskan Husky. The older guy has slowed down and needs some more tender loving care these days, so I definitely have some special needs/senior experience. The 6 year old girl is very active and gets around 4 miles of walks each day. Seeing the joy on their faces when asked if they want to go for a walk melts my heart. I don't have cats, but I TNR'd four feral cats in the neighborhood and feed and interact with them every morning. In the past, I've also cared for friends' cats when they went out of town - feeding, cleaning litter box, etc. I have a remote sales job which allows me to be very flexible. I volunteer every Friday morning from 8AM-11AM which is the only time I'm not available on a weekly basis. When walking my own dogs (and the shelter dogs for that matter), I'm very cognizant of broken glass on the sidewalks, discarded food and trash, and any other obstacles that tend to come up in the city. I know every dog is different and make sure to follow directions given when walking your pup.

About: I’ve cared for pets my whole life — dogs of all ages, guinea pigs, fish, and more. I truly enjoy giving animals love, attention, and fun! With no evening classes this semester, I have plenty of flexibility in the mornings. Walking dogs fits perfectly into my routine, and I enjoy starting the day active and outdoors. I give dogs freedom to sniff, stroll, and play at their pace—always sticking to their routine and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved.

About: I've had my own pets since 1991. I had a rabbit and dog in college and have learned over the decades how to best care for our friends. I've just retired from a busy career, so I know how important it is to find someone to care for your animals when you're away; even if it's just the gym or happy hour after work. I've fostered for several area rescues and know folks have a different idea of appropriate care. I only use fear free methods, because our animals need to know they can trust us. I've had young high energy dogs who need play and long walks and I've cared for my dogs in their last years when they needed additional care or special medical needs including pills, dressings, eye drops and carrying older dogs who aren't as mobile anymore. I would love to get to know your pets and help you give them the best life. I'm currently retired and searching for part time employment. I don't mind early or late night visits since our dogs don't have a 9 to 5 schedule. I do have an active social and volunteering schedule but it's flexible enough to accommodate your needs. I have cared for many dogs who need to be crated or who are door dashers and escape artists. I have a calm energy that helps put pets at ease. I'm a fan of high value treats to make the crate a special place. My personal dogs are crate trained but I know that's not for everyone.

“Jessica is so wonderful with Maggie. She always leaves me a note and sends me pictures so that I know how my four-legged baby is doing. I trust her completely to take care of my nervous child when I am gone.”

About: I've had/taken care of dogs my whole life. My husband and I love dogs and have a big yard for them to run around in. We often dogsit for family and friends when they are out of town. We lost our fur baby a couple months ago due to old age and frankly we miss him and the energy he brought to our house. Your furbaby (or babies) would have a whole house to themselves and would have the full attention of a loving couple. We live in a great neighborhood for walks and have several parks nearby. Both my husband and I work full time jobs out of the house, but are never gone more than 8 hours at a time. Our routine with our recent furbaby would be walks and breakfast in the morning before work (around 8ish), a walk/play outside after work (around 4ish) and then a bathroom break outside before bed. On weekends we have more time to spend with your dog(s) We understand that every dog is special and has special needs! We are open to all care routines and any oddities your dog may have (we used to have to hide our trash can from our dog before leaving the house 😅). As long as you provide instructions, we feel confident managing any schedules, medical care, oddities, or routines. Your fur baby will be in a loving household that just misses having dogs around all the time.

About: I’ve been around cats and dogs my entire life. I was a toddler when my family got our first of 3 cats and a dog. In 2017, my roommate adopted a dog and I played a huge role in taking care of him — from feeding, taking him out, going on walks, baths, and more! Since moving to St. Louis I’ve dog sat for two families in my apartment. This was my first time meeting the dogs and having this experience and it was great. I love helping others while getting to spend time with animals! Currently I work remotely/hybrid 30-40 hours a week so I have a lot of flexibility to fit pet care into my schedule! I can take breaks at work for walks, play, feedings, etc. but also hang out at the house with the pet. I’m very big on following directions at others home so I can respect the space and keep everyone safe. In my own home, I don’t have a backyard so the dog will always be on a leash outside. Inside, I always make sure nothing is on the floor or tempting for a pet to eat/chew on, keep food away, and ensure doors are closed to avoid them getting into areas they shouldn’t be.

About: I am a proud cat owner who has co-cared for all sorts of dogs over the years. From pitbulls to chihuahuas, I've been challenged and rewarded by all my furry friends. Apart from roommates and partners, I've also cared for many of my friends animals while they were out of town. One of whom (a dog) I had to administer medication orally. I am also comfortable with syringe applications. From a personality standpoint, I have a way with dogs that just comes naturally. I'd call it a commanding presence, although I can be a big softie, too. Always down for a cuddle! For both cats and dogs, know that I will give your pets time to adjust to my presence, aka let them come to me and give them space, so that I can foster a measure of trust between us. When walking your dog expect that I will be focused, confident and vigilant, keeping an eye out for any triggers your dog my have to outdoor stimuli. For every booking I accept there will be pictures provided as well as a detailed summary of our time together. Your pet's safety is my primary concern, so should anything abnormal occur you will be notified in a timely manner. Please leave information regarding diet, medications, general health info, behavioral issues, personality, and hiding spaces. When it comes to daily routine I'd like to keep things as close to their eveyday schedule as possible. Any information about your building, parking, lockbox location, or house rules would be great help. I'm always available to answer any questions you have, so feel free to contact me with any concerns via the Rover phone number provided. Thanks for wading through this with me. Can't wait to meet your special friends. ** Bonded and licensed via Pet Care Insurance (PCI) My best friend and roommate has an elderly cat I help her care for, so pet care is a daily commitment for me. Your pets will receive the same love and care. I am on the job hunt and a DC transplant, so I have a pretty open schedule at the moment and a healthy desire to explore the area with your pups. I am not accepting stays at the moment, but at your residence I intend to give the same care and attention you would. Please let me know of your daily routine, their favorite toys/games, and sociability level. My aim is to build a foundation of trust with your animals and have a safe, fun time together.

About: I have volunteered at dog shelters,I took care of my family and friends pets , I'm also a cat dad to my precious 2 felines I'm on disability, I am afforded time to fit anyone schedule and this allows me to get the exercise my doctor has recommended for me. I have 2 cats at home with me I feed them and give them fresh water every day I'm very good with dogs and cats

Whether it be to walk, be a companion, or pet sit, Amy has it all under control, and honestly couldn't think of any one I would rather have help me out.”

Megan & Jacob K.Star Sitter
“Megan has been taking care of our dogs for years. The dogs are so thrilled to see her! She knows exactly how to get rid of their energy and then feeds and love on them. She spends quality time making sure they are comfortable and ready for their nap/ bedtime when she leaves. I never worry about our babies (dogs) when Megan is watching them. You, and your dogs would be lucky to secure Megan to watch them in your absence.”
