About: Sitting in the kitten room is one of my favorite activities as a Humane Society volunteer. I appreciate any time I can get with cats — my dad and brother are allergic, so I didn’t have one growing up. My extended family provided, however. Growing up, you could always find me in a spare room with the cat at the family Christmas party. Then, in college, I had a roommate with two lovely kittens that I spoiled. Bonus points if your cat is clingy, cuddly, or talkative.

“Isa took such great care of our puppy! This was my first time using Rover and leaving my puppy with a sitter instead of a doggy daycare. Isa answered all of my questions about the process and gave me the chance to come meet her first. She was also very flexible as I had to book it sort of last minute and didn't have an exact time of when we would be picking up our puppy. Also our puppy was still finishing recovery from a recent surgery, and Isa was very understanding of this and made sure he got enough Rex. About: I've spent much of my life living with and caring for dogs--from growing up with dogs throughout childhood, to helping care for dogs as an adult, to having Spencer, my most recent dog. I don't currently have pets of my own, which means visiting dogs get my full attention and don't have to adjust to unfamiliar resident animals. I genuinely miss having a dog around! I work from home and love the idea of giving someone's dog a cozy, low-stress place to stay while their humans are away. I intentionally accept dogs from only one household at a time, so I'm able to get to know their routine, personality, and quirks and make sure they get lots of individual attention. I have a dog door that suits a large dog and a fenced-in backyard in beautiful Southwest Garden, across from The Hill. I'm comfortable following detailed feeding and medication instructions and am happy to care for senior dogs. I'm currently focusing on friendly, reliably housetrained adult small and medium dogs that I can comfortably handle on leash. I prefer a meet-and-greet before a first stay so that both the dog and I can ensure we're comfortable together. And I love sending photos and updates! Getting pictures of Spencer when I traveled always made me happy, so I'm delighted to do the same for you. I work from home Monday through Friday from 9am-6pm, so I’m home much of the day and can easily fit walks, playtime, meals, potty breaks, and plenty of attention into my routine. I live on a quiet, tree-lined street with sidewalks and no through traffic, just ten houses from Sublette Park. I love walking the perimeter of the park, so dogs who enjoy walks will have plenty of opportunities to get out and "sniff the puppy newspaper." I’m happy to take dogs for several walks a day depending on their normal routine and energy level. I do leave the house for errands and activities, so dogs should be comfortable relaxing at home alone for a few hours at a time. I have a quiet, dog-friendly home with no resident pets, and I only host dogs from one household at a time. I have a large, fully fenced privacy backyard for supervised play and potty breaks, plus a dog door that can be closed and locked when needed. Dogs are welcome to relax on my large couch, which is always covered with waterproof pet blankets. At night, dogs can sleep in their own crate in my downstairs den, on the couch, or--if they’re well behaved without a crate--on a dog bed in my bedroom. I don’t provide a crate, so owners should bring one if their dog needs it. I prefer to meet new dogs before their first stay so I can learn their routine and make sure I can handle them comfortably and safely. I’m currently best suited for friendly, reliably housetrained adult dogs who aren’t strong pullers, destructive chewers, or determined escape artists.

About: I’ve always loved dogs, whether they were mine or those of friends. I’ve had dogs for many years, and they have been my best buddies! I adopted Stanley last September from Have a Heart Rescue. Stanley is very playful and loves to play with other dogs. He is only 17 pounds and full of energy and loads of love. He enjoys “walking” other dogs if he can get ahold of their leashes and loves to do zoomies in the yard and play tag with other dogs. As he is a small pup, I would prefer to only watch dogs up to 40 pounds and must be socialized with other dogs and people. As I am retired now, I would love to start dog sitting in my home and would be open to doggy daycare. I am rarely away from the house for more than two hours at a time. I have a fully fenced in yard with plenty of room to play. Dogs have always been allowed on the chairs, sofas and on the bed. Who wants to sleep on the floor? About: Coming from an animal loving family and already volunteering part time at the Humane Society, I just can’t get enough of walking dogs — especially big ones ! My family’s dog, a total mixed breed that we raised from a puppy, is a modest 80 lbs. Before we got him, I grew up with a border collie and a cattle dog mix, so I deal well with high energy breeds. I’m happy to take them on 2+ mile walks multiple times a day. I have always had dogs, so I have a lifetime of experience raising, training, and taking care of them. I currently work part-time as a French teacher, frequently online, so I have a lot of free time to spend with your pet. Plus, if I am staying long term at your house, my students will love to see your pet pop up on my Zoom video! I can adapt to whatever your pet needs. If you have a pet that just needs feeding and a potty break/litter box scooping, I can provide that. If your pet is a little needier and needs playtime, ear rubs, and someone’s lap to sit on, I’m also eager to provide. I understand that each animal is different.

About: I’ve grown up around dogs and trained one dog growing up. I have experience walking neighbors dogs and house-sitting for friends and family. Love all dogs! I’m currently working, and evenings and weekends are the most free for me. My schedule will free up significantly around the summer time. About: ***Constant care pets will be an extra fee*** Constant care is care in which we cannot leave your pet alone for more than 3 hours. Meet and greets are free unless you need more than one before the stay, then the first meet and greet is free. My expertise is with older dogs, pets with disabilities (such as dementia or seizures), and pets that need medications. I'm also experienced in multi-pet homes where one or more pets are seniors/special needs and other pets are high energy or puppies/kittens. I have experience caring for pets who are recovering from operations as well. If your pet does need Constant care, we can negotiate a price that works for you. I've always had pets. I have always had cats, dogs, guinnea pigs, or ferrets. I'm versed in many kinds of animals and am happy to care additional small animals if needed. Short notice is ok as long as there are at least 2 days between the time I'm asked and the time of the stay so that there's time for a meet and greet. For repeat customers, I accept even same-day requests. I work 8 hours, 4 days a week. Since we do petsitting together, if there is a need for constant care, one of us will always be present in the home with your pet. Safety is my #1 priority when caring for your pets. I make sure to watch pets attentively on walks and in the yard to ensure maximum safety. I have the most availability on weekends. I’m available daily during weekdays in the morning and in the evening. I like to start slow especially with the more shy pets. From that point I may use treats or some time for slow sniffing. Once I’ve built a trust with your pet I find it helpful for the dog to watch you pass their leash to me as a passing or trust. For walks the dogs are always leashed. I offer both short and long walks and will match the pace that best suits your pet from slow sniffing filled walks to fast paced trots. I am available for both in home visits and overnight stays, feedings, bathroom breaks, and medication administration as needed.

About: In addition to dog sitting and cat sitting for my family and friends, I have experience with taking care of birds, guinea pigs, hamsters, and even fish. I’m here to have a relaxing day staying in or going for a run or walk to enjoy the sunshine. We can go for a game of tug of war in the yard! On the weekends (saturday & sunday), I have the most time and can dedicate the whole day to your furbaby. On the weekdays, after 4pm I can dedicate my time to enriching and providing pet care. I have a fenced in back yard, both my neighbors have dogs but we are respectful and understanding of each furbaby’s personality and try to make necessary boundaries. Dogs are allowed on the furniture. I have teo large crates if time alone is needed.
