“We had great experience with Jena and Nick. Dexter received lots of love, personal attention, playtime, daily walks. Their pet Sebastian was a very nice dog and became great buddy of Dexter in a short time. They have a very nice and clean fenced backyard too. Dexter really enjoyed his time with Jena, Nick and Sebastian… We really appreciate their effort in making sure Dexter felt it at home…Thank you Jane, Nick and Sebastian for being so lovely to Dexter.”

“Nick was great with Molly! He sent pictures and updates while she was with him, which I really appreciated. When I picked her up, she seemed happy, comfortable, and like she had a great time. His home was very clean, welcoming, and inviting, which made me feel even better about leaving her there. I will definitely use Nick again and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone to care for their dog!”

“The experience with Michael was awesome- he was calm and patient with my new puppy. He sent videos every day and it was obvious that he is a dog lover from the backyard setup alone. I will 100% be using his services again if I ever need them!”

“Lindsay took wonderful care of Loki while we were away. She sent daily pictures and updates, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear Loki was happy and well loved. He enjoyed daily walks, plenty of bed cuddles, and all the attention he could ask for. We highly recommend Lindsay and would absolutely book with her again.”

“Laurie was wonderful with Gracie! I was a little nervous letting Gracie stay away but from the moment we had our meet & greet I felt very comfortable. Laurie, her sweet dog Daphne & daughter were very warm and welcoming. Laurie provided many check-ins and promptly answered all of the questions I had. I would definitely Laurie to anyone looking for a sitter and plan to use Laurie again in the future!”

“I highly recommend Brittany! She took great care of our one year Samoyed for a weekend away. He had a lot of fun playing with her two dogs, and returned home a very happy and tired dog. We were provided pictures and updates of our dog during his stay. Brittany is quick to respond to stay requests, and made drop-off and pick-up very easy.”

“Allison and her family were great with my dog! They sent lots of photos and gave updates on how she was doing. And Willow made friends with their dog who was very well mannered!!”

I am always a little scared to leave my dog behind but Milissa was responsive and kept me up to date on all of his activities even shared photos. When I picked him up he was a very happy dog. About: I am an animal lover and I have always had pets. The past few years I have been saving lives and fostering with One By One Reacue! I am currently on a foster break since I have 4 dogs of my own but help run the rescue in other ways. I am lucky enough to work from home and be with my pets all day. They stay in the general area I am when I work. Since I have 4 dogs of my own, I would like to provide boarding at my house. I am in a town house and I have movable metal fencing for my dogs. I never leave them outside alone. When I do have to run to the store or have plans for the day (usually no more than 8 hours) I have a furbo that I check in on them throughout the day. I also gate off my stairs so no one can use them (or fall down, I had a blind dog and watch one) when I am not there.

“Jeannine is very caring and treated Rocky like one of her own! She sent lots of pictures, was easy to contact and quick to respond. I highly recommend her:) Rocky especially loved playing with her boxer Mabel!”

“Wendy was great!!! She texted me with updates, questions, and went above and beyond for my senior who isn’t necessarily comfortable with change!!! She left her a goody basket which my dog loved, and throughout her stay she went above and beyond to help my dog with her upset stomach, feel comfortable and took her out often!!! I could tell Layla had a great time with her when i picked her up and when she smelt her from her toy!!!”

“Alex is a fantastic sitter. She sent me lots of photos of Hank during my trip, and when circumstances held me up for an extra day, she was willing to extend the booking. I can feel confident leaving Hank with her, knowing that he will be in good hands, and I highly recommend Alex to any pet parent.”

“This was my first having Victoria watch my dog and I’m so glad I picked her. She sent videos daily to ease my anxiety about being away for 13 days. I will definitely have Victoria watch her next vacation. She was quick at responding to my messages”

“Excellent pet watcher!! I highly recommend. They were very responsive, and flexible. My cat T-square had a blast at there place. He was loved, groomed, and cared for, as if he was with me! ❤️”

“Somdipa watched my Boston terrier, Dude, while I went on vacation for a week, and everything went great! I felt confident that he was well taken care of the whole time. Dude didn't want to leave, so I could tell he had a fun time. Would be very happy to have Somdipa watch Dude again in the future!”

“Laura and her husband's love for dogs shines through in everything they do. They truly treated my dog as if it was their own. My pup had a minor medical issue (nothing to do with their care) and they made sure he got prompt care and expertly administered his medication. I loved the frequent photo and video updates. They rival some of the professional photos I've had taken! Will use again!”

“Amazing! Tia is very sweet from the moment you meet her. She treated my dogs as her own. She sent pictures and videos during the stay, and they were happy when I picked them up.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Fombell home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Fombell.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Fombell sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
