“Olivia did an amazing job watching our 2 year old mini golden doodle. She gave us frequent updates and ensured that our pup was happy and cared for throughout his entire stay! I highly recommend Olivia!”

“So thankful we found Christine. Wicket settled right in and had a wonderful stay. Christine kept us up to date with photos and how he was doing. We would highly recommend Christine to anyone who is looking for someone to take good care of their pet.”

“I found this service and Pat very last minute. I’m so happy and grateful to find this service!!! Pat was so great to take my chuey so last minute!!! She was very sweet when we met and was very happy to meet chuey!! Felt very comfortable and at ease when I left! Will definitely be booking again!!!!!”

“Grace and her husband were a great fit for our very affectionate Fred. She sent daily pictures and updates. Fred seemed happy when I picked him up. I would definitely book grandma Grace again for our pet care.”

“Alix took such great care of our dog! She sent us photo updates and we knew she was happy as could be! She was punctional and picked her up and dropped us off when she said. We will definitely use her again!”

“I wanted to leave a follow- up review for Clarice and Steve. We have boarded our Great Dane, Kate, with them four times now, I believe, and we do not have a care in the world when we leave her with them. They continue to take great care of her and she obviously enjoys staying there. They have accommodated last minute requests when we had a loved one dying. They have been flexible and understanding. Four boardings later and I cannot give them a higher recommendation. These are the people to take care of your pets when you are away!”

“Tiffany and Rob were great. My guy can be a little fussy but he seemed to fit right in on his long stay in this great home. They sent lots of pics and updates. I feel comfortable leaving my dog in their care anytime!”

“Toast had a wonderful time at Monique and Brody’s. I could not have asked for a better caregiver for my 17 year old pup. It is such a relief to find someone so caring and focused on the pups.”

“Anthony was by at the best choice we could have made for our dogs. Anthony has an understanding and love of dogs that made the feel comfortable with him from the moment we dropped them off. I will definitely be booking with Anthony again.”

“Lili and her 2 daughters were wonderful. They took care of our puppy and cat for 8 nights while we went to visit family. We are so thankful to have found them. They sent us updates every day along with pictures and videos. We had a delay in our returning flight due to weather and Lili gave us no hassle to keep them an extra 6 hours. We will definitely be giving 5 stars and would love to make Lili our sitter for any future trips. Highly recommend. Thank you again Lili and Selena!”

“My dog, Avery, really enjoyed her stay. She got lots of outside time to play and walk around exploring in the backyard. Iuliia has great communication and cares so much for the dogs she boards.”

“Benny had a playful, wonderful weekend at Michael’s. He especially enjoyed hanging out with his dog Maisy who welcomed him with open paws. Michael made my weekend getaway stress free since he is so easy to coordinate with. I highly recommend his service and have already booked another weekend”

“Olga and her family did an amazing job. Caring for our senior dog. Lucky, I felt very comfortable, leaving him. They even know built 2 ramps so that he wouldn't have to, try to go up the stairs so they built a ramp, which is very endearing. He got lots of love. He had playtime with their dog Ozzy. I got daily photos and details, so I would say Olga was an over the top loving caretaker!”

“Victoria is so good with Jackie!! I really appreciate her because when I’m out of town, which is fairly frequently, I don’t worry about Jackie because I know she is in good hands.”

“Carol is a true gem. When we met, she spoke to me as if we had known each other for years, which quickly put me at ease. My littles, Jack and Jenni are explorers and her tree filled property was a thrill for them. She sent short videos and photos of their time there and they were always on the move, obviously beyond thrilled to be there. She treated them as if they were her own, affording them cozy nooks above what I provide them at home! Most importantly, Jack has heart disease and she was attentive when I gave her a rundown of his medication schedule, which was key for me when I was searching for a sitter. She followed their feeding and treat routine without fail, which is great as they get a little anxious when I, myself miss treat time! When I brought them home, the first thing they did was rested, which told me that their time there was full of non-stop love and fun :) Thank you, Carol - we will be back soon!”

“Donna & Terra did an amazing job taking care of my little miniature schnauzer. They sent texts and pictures during her stay to keep me updated on how she was doing. I am so glad I found them and have already booked another stay.”

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
