“Thanks for taking care of our cats when we were out. Heather sent us updates which made us miss our little cats a little less. Will definitely recommend Heather to take care of your pets.”

“Janice is awesome! I am so thankful for her. She is very conscientious and caring. She took extra time out of her schedule to care for my high maintenance furbaby. And updated me with notes and pictures twice a day. I came home from a stressful trip to a happy and healthy dog. You cant go wrong with Janice. Many thanks for a great job!”

About: I grew up on a ranch with dogs, cats, horses, and cattle, and my boyfriend who I live with has had dogs his whole life. We love dogs of all size and ages and hope to adopt more in the future. Our schedules line up to where someone would be home with your pup 95% of the time! We offer daily walks and adventures if that’s what your pup needs as well, and lots of toys of course. We have a large fenced yard that your pup can play and run around in. We have a dog as well that they can play with outside or inside. We have crate that your pup can use if that’s what they need.
“Our dogs were happy with the care they got from Alexandra. They were happy to see us when we got home however, they were content and we could tell that they were well cared for.”

“Kaya was a fantastic sitter for my cat! They both got along so well. Kaya’s communication was always great and I loved the photos she sent me. I would highly recommend her for anyone who needs a reliable sitter!”

About: I've always had a love for animals, especially dogs. I've had dogs around me since I was a child. I'm able to care for puppies, to older dogs. I’ll always treat your fur babies with compassion and the same amount of love I give to my 3 year old doberman/lab mix dog named Oakley. I am a current nursing student that works full time, but flexible on checking in on your fur babies and making time for some play time! I’ll always do what’s comfortable for them, and especially the owner. I’ll be sure comfortability is always a priority and ensure safety for everyone around.

I'm good at following instructions and can provide personalized care for your pets needs :) I’m currently caring for pets full-time, so I have flexible availability to provide attentive, dedicated care whenever your pets need it. They’ll get my full attention, ensuring they feel happy, comfortable, and well looked after. “Rita was a pleasure to have drop in on our two cats while we were away. They had clean water, litter boxes and she even took our trash can to the street. Our youngest can be a terror if not played with consistently and he has been a joy since we’ve been home so I know she put in extra effort to burn his energy. We’d love to book Rita again!”

About: I am a former dog trainer at Dog Gone Amazing training and boarding in Reno Nv for the past 4 and half years. I moved to Eureka to have a new start and would love to continue to work with animals. I’ve worked with many different breeds and many different temperaments. I currently have two dogs of my own and a cat as well. I’ve grown up with all sorts of animals, such a horses, chickens, sled dogs and cats. I would love to continue working with new pets and their owners! I currently have 2 dogs and a cat. I’ve also worked as a kennel tech at a boarding/training facility and then moved on to become a trainer at that same facility. I always recommend crates for any situation but in my own home I would crate all dogs and rotate based on how they all get along. Feeding in the crate or separate from other animals. Daily walks or hikes depending on the animal. Cats would get daily enrichment. If weather doesn’t permit or the animal isn’t able to get that day I’d offer mental enrichment such as lick mats, food puzzles, play, training, etc.
“Our dog is slow to warm up to people and on only the second time meeting Celia she warmed right up to her and was happy enough that they went on a solo walk together. Celia is punctual and very thoughtful. Definately recommend”

About: Hi, I'm Emilia. ✨👋🏽✨ Thank you for your interest. I am a lifelong animal lover. When I was little I used to rescue animals without owners and bring them to my house until we found them a home that loved them. I have had rabbits, thousands of dachshunds, cats, talking birds, green iguanas and a white mouse that I rescue from being eaten by a snake. Currently I have 3 dogs, Toby is 9 years old, we rescued him from a kennel in Oregon and then we have 2 Argentinean sisters that we brought from Argentina 🥰 they are all sweet and they are trained. I would love to be able to step in and take care of other people's animals. I have been taking care of dogs that weigh from 20 to 100 pounds! I can walk (forest / park / beach), feed, play with your puppies, take him to the vet and give them all the attention and love they need. I am willing to go the extra mile and will attend to your needs. ✨🤍🙌 * All guidelines and rules for your home and for the care of your dog will be followed. Please let me know in detail. ** All dogs / pets will be on a leash for all walks at all times unless otherwise requested *** I will need to know if your puppies cannot be left alone at all and must be with me at all times during longer homestays. Additional charges may apply. *** ALL PRICES AND DETAILS CAN BE DISCUSSED. I am an artistic entrepreneur and my studio is in my house, so my schedule is quite open and adaptable 😉 I am able to check-ups, walks and overnight stays in on your pups on a regular basis. I can work with YOUR schedule! 📅 I am very excited to connect with you and your pets. I have a spacious house, with a large and fenced backyard, your fur babies will have enough space to play. I always like to familiarize myself with the client's home/yard/neighborhood! Especially for the naughty ones! I love taking them on walks on the beach or in the woods. If your dog is trained we can go to the dog park. 🐾 If you want to spend the night, I can also water your plants 🪴 ✨💚
“Paige looked in our kittehs for 3 days and was absolutely great. She was kind and personable when she visited ahead of them to meet them, and the girls received excellent care and lots of attention. She shared really cute photos of each visit. We will definitely rebook with her in the future! 🙂”

About: I have never not had a dog in my life. Trust that I will care, nourish and love on your dog while you are doing you! We live close by the beach so if you allow it daily beach walks for your canine would be my pleasure! No stress about the sand, I will make sure that your pup is clean and washed up for you before you pick up. At the end of your day you can go home and relax with your tired pup from a great day of playing. I am completely open on days listed. So I will be fully attentive and caring for your beloved pet. With even day trips to the beach, or long walks in my safe neighborhood. Does your dog love to play ball? This is something I am down to do multiple times a day to keep your doggo happy. Lots of love and attention. We will work on behavior and reinforce with treats. Tons of exercise (walks, runs, chasing ball, beach walks). I have a 7 year old black lab who loves all other dogs, so lots of socializing as well!
“I booked Erica for a drop in when I was heading out of town and she really made me feel like my cat was in good hands. She sent a cute photo of him and communicated well. Would recommend!”
About: Experienced and flexible. Well reviewed! Happy to provide references. I volunteered at Thundering Paws Animal Sanctuary all through my High School years in Austin TX. There isn't much I can't handle but I'm also aware dogs can have different personalities and different needs. I'd love to cater to your pet specifically! I am 100% self employed, and a part time stay-at-home pet/ plant dad! I'd love to make time to care for your pets as well! Obviously your pets are top priority but please let me know what I can do to keep your home safe and sound as well :)

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
