“Our Cavaliers loved staying with Amy. Her home was accommodating, and they seemed very comfortable with the family and her dogs. My dogs immediately made themselves at home and I'm sure would eagerly return!”
“Larissa was the perfect person to take care of my dog. She sent me updates and photos throughout the entire time. I felt assured that my dog Mac was in good hands and at no point was worried. I’d happily leave my pup with Larissa again!”

“Emily & Eric were both friendly and very understanding to my dog’s personality and needs. They took great care of Zuri! I would have them care for Zuri again! THANK YOU.”

About: I have cared for a variety of breeds, energy levels, and personalities. I've helped train puppies, given medications, and helped anxious dogs remain calm while with us. As a family, we adapt to each pet and pet parent's requests including timing/ frequency of meals, giving medications and only food provided as needed, activities/ walks the dog prefers, crating (or not), and other things that helps them feel comfortable. I work part time and volunteer while my kids are in school. We are home most evenings and days, we have some activities but we're back early in the evening. I have a fenced yard in a safe neighborhood that doesn't have any traffic noise (there is some daytime construction but it hasn't concerned any of our guests yet). I have a spot for their bed that is central to most of our activities so they can observe and relax. Most like the big front window to watch the street from. The girls do a lot of ball throwing, tug of war, and treat hide and seek. They also like to make treats (when pet parents allow) and reward them for responding to commands. I don't allow them to feed dogs anything on their own.
“Mayorie was very attentive, and easy to communicate with while Ash was in her care. I got lots of photos, and videos. My dog settled home quickly and has been at ease. To me this is a sign that she had an easy time while at sleepaway camp. Thank you!”

“We are incredibly grateful for Araceli for watching our two pups! It’s our 2nd boarding experience with her - 1st for our 5-month old - and they were well taken care of. Def one of the best Rover experiences we’ve had”

“Our dog always has a wonderful time staying with Dana and Mark. They are very accommodating and send great updates. We look forward to booking with them again!”

“Jennifer was great with my 3 dogs who have never been boarded at someone else’s house and two of them were a little nervous. They came around in no time, had the choice of sleeping with her if they wanted to, lots of room to play, and got along great with her dogs. We’ll definitely be back.”

“Hannah is a loving dog carer/sitter. I left my dog Blizzard with her for a week and she sent plenty of updates and photos. Blizzard was well cared for and had a great time in her in-laws’ giant yard too! I will definitely use her services again and highly recommend her!!!!’”

“Steve provided a great experience for us and our dog Mochi! We left over the 4th of July and she was with him for over a week. She came back to us happy, healthy and tuckered out after playing with the other pups in Steve's care. Steve was great about communication, flexible with us in our scheduling of our meet and greet and overall just wonderful to our dog Mochi! I hope to be able to book with Steve again in the future. I know Mochi would love it!”

“Kimberley is a very caring and knowledgeable dog owner and dog caregiver. My dogs had a great visit beforehand to see how good of fit they were with her dog and home. She had my dogs for a week and asked a couple questions about one of my dogs who is a bit nervous at times and she was very concerned about providing what he needed to relax more and settle in. my dogs were happy there. I don’t have anything negative to say about Kimberley and her home or her care of my dogs. She was fantastic. She sent a few pictures asked important questions. My dogs were happy and well cared for and I didn’t worry about them while I was on vacation. I highly recommend Kimberley.”

“Melissa gave us updates on Echo and sent photos/videos throughout his stay which put us at ease with any worries we had. He came home happy and healthy. We will definitely rebook with Melissa when we go out of town!”

“Very impressed with the level of care given to our dog. If I can speak for our dog, Molly, she seemed to have a really good time. We will be a repeat customer and can't recommend enough!”

“Ron is great with Mima! She is a senior and isn't usually very comfortable staying away from me but every time I take her to Ron's house she walks in without looking back! Leaving her with Ron gives me peace and everytime I pick her up she is happy. :) Whenever we need boarding for Mima, Ron is right at the top of our list! Thank you so much, Ron!!”

“This was by far the best experience I have ever had with any dog-sitter. Jared and his wife were both amazing with our pups. They did a meet and greet for our comfort. Jared sent daily pictures during the stay. In every picture and interaction, it looked and felt like our dogs were comfortable, safe, and actually enjoying themselves. We were wondering if they were even going to want to come home with us. I would recommend Jared for anyone considering using a dog-sitter, this was an A+ experience. It can be pretty difficult to find someone willing to take only one client at a time, but if that is what you are looking for, Jared is your guy. This ensures that your pup/pups are not neglected and are always getting the care and attention they want and need. I will be booking with Jared again whenever I need this type of service. You and your furry friends will be happy that you booked a stay with Jared. Our dogs can be difficult to care for and they had a blast !”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Felida
My first interaction with a dog sitter, so I scheduled a play date for Roxy (1 year old mini poodle). Roxy absolutely loved being with the other dogs, and Shell made sure she was safe. My pup came home happy and tired, and I will schedule other play dates for her with Shell through Rover. SHELL KNOWS DOGS!

Abra took wonderful care of Luca for over two weeks! She sent me daily pictures and updates, took him on walks, and made sure he received plenty of love, attention, and care. It gave me such peace of mind knowing he was in good hands. I’m very grateful and would absolutely recommend Abra to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter!

Sandy and her husband were so great. They gave our dog such great care and sent pics and videos. Great communication. You can tell they truly love animals and they have an amazing backyard. My dog felt comfortable with them really quickly and I will definitely be a return customer.

Five stars are not enough for Danny and Maria. They watched Jupiter, my cocker spaniel/King Charles over Memorial Weekend. They sent several videos and photos of my Jup, along with Emma (their dog) and Stich (another dog they watch). Oh my goodness Jupiter was having the time of his life. Danny and Maria are such caring people and love our fur babies as if they were theirs. Jupiter is almost 3 years old and an only doggie child, so he felt as though he was on vacation himself. He went for walks with the gang and played hard in the huge backyard. It’s like Doggie Disneyland at Danny and Maria’s. They made sure to ask about any food issues/allergies etc. I totally hit the jackpot finding these amazing people. I would recommend them a thousand times taking care of any fur baby. 👏👍

Anastasia was fantastic. Throughout our dog’s stay at her home, she was very communicative and consistently sent pictures and updates, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. Our dog came home healthy, happy, and clearly well cared for. We highly recommend Anastasia and would absolutely ask her to dog sit for us again.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Felida home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Felida.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Felida sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
