About: I’ve taken care of a dog ever since I’ve got my first one when I was eight, and now that I’m older and living on my own I have my own dog who is almost 3, who still acts just like a puppy. Since joining Rover, I have taken care of a variety of different dogs of all breeds, and sizes with all kinds of different needs. Im currently only doing Rover so im available full time! I enjoy going out during the day and running errands so I'm more available at night and can provide your baby with as much love and attention as they want!! No matter what neighborhood you may live in, I promise your pets will always be safe with me, I am very observant and watchful of pets and I always do my best to make sure that they are very well taken care of as if they are my own.
“Rachel, was able to accommodate a last minute need for dog walking and care. She was not only incredibly professional, but she was very responsive and even shared something she observed about my dog that I had missed. I will absolutely book her in the future. Thank you Rachel.. you were wonderful.”

“Teresa W did an awesome job with my chihuahua mix, Bree. She met her and Bree was fine but when she came to take her out she hid and growled. Bree eventually came around and Teresa was able to take her out. Teresa also gave Bree the meds she needed on time. She kept me updated on Bree’s bronchitis and breathing and took very good care of her. Teresa also took care of the 2 rabbits I have. She did a fantastic job. I definitely will call her again for Bree if she’s up to it.”

“Chelsea was wonderful with my cat and made my stay away from my furry family member less stressful. Chelsea is so caring and loving, my cat immediately loved her. I will book again with Chelsea in the near future.”

“I absolutely love leaving my baby at home with confidence and not stressing my entire trip away. Veda was definitely a cat whisperer and was able to get my anxious baby to take her meds well.”

“I am so thankful for how understanding Tara was with my dog. She was very loving with him despite Tucker being a little scared at first. Would 100% recommend her to take care of your pup!”

About: Hello, my name is Lara. I am a long-time educator with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools with 22 years of experience teaching at the elementary and middle school levels. I have lived in the Charlotte area for 38 years and know how important it is to have people who you can trust and rely on in your circle. As a teacher, responsibility, professionalism, communication and timeliness are a part of who I am every day. I bring that level of professionalism to every aspect of house sitting and pet sitting. I have raised two children in Charlotte and currently have two human grandchildren, four dog grands, two cat grands and two lizard grands. Throughout the years I have cared for dogs, cats, guinea pigs, fish, horses, ferrets and pet mice. I am comfortable with feeding routines, long or short walks, administering basic care, providing enrichment, cleaning litter boxes and providing companionship while you are away. I work Monday through Friday, 7:30 to 5:00, in the Concord Mills area. Due to my teaching schedule I would be best suited for: Overnight house sitting Vacation pet sitting Early morning and evening pet care Weekend care Pets that are comfortable being alone during a standard workday I currently work full time with a consistent schedule every day of the week. I get up at 5:00 am and at work by 7:30. My mornings are generally time to prepare for the day ahead and would include a walk if desired, feeding, enrichment and time for cuddles if needed. I return at the end of my work day and will provide a walk, enrichment based on your pet’s preferences, feeding and any needed cleaning. If I am staying at your home there will be additional time before the bedtime routine for time spent together. My general rule for care is always to be safe first and foremost. That means all doors, gates and fences checked when in an area. The yard is checked for safety before we go outside and walks are always on leash with a back up leash for emergencies. I follow your pet’s schedule and your house rules. I am at your home to keep your pet safe and comfortable until you return. This includes multiple times that I will communicate with you daily. Your pet’s safety, comfort and your peace of mind are my goals.
“Miesha was the best! She gave me plenty of thorough updates and took lots of pictures, and went above and beyond to not only take care of the animals but my personal property as well. She even brought her own printed reports to log details like how much the babies ate and drank. Would absolutely recommend her to anyone and will definitely be asking for her help again in the future!”

About: I’ve been around dogs of all sizes and personalities since I was six years old, having grown up with a variety of breeds. For the past 8 years, I’ve been actively pet sitting and dog walking, caring for everything from tiny terriers to giant breeds. I currently have a large dog of my own with a big personality and unpredictable behaviors, so I’m very comfortable handling excitable, quirky, or high-energy pets. I’m also experienced with administering medications—oral, topical or injections—as my own pup requires daily meds. Whether your dog needs a calm presence or someone who can match their playful energy, I’m here to provide safe, reliable, and loving care. I truly love working with dogs and treat every pet like they’re part of my own family. As a full-time student with a flexible schedule, I can easily accommodate daytime visits, walks, and special needs. I have some days where I am busier than others, however I still manage my time well. I am available for drop ins, daily walks, and/or spending a little extra time with those who need it (or want it of course). Your pets will be in great hands!
“Anna was so sweet and incredibly easy to communicate with! We weren't able to meet ahead of time, but she was so patient while our pup took some time to get comfortable with her. She sent plenty of photos which gave us so much peace of mind even though it was just a drop-in. We really appreciated the great care she gave our dog and will absolutely book with her again!”

“A+ for Annmarie. She is a great communicator and put up with my embarrassingly shy cats. No complaints here, everything went as planned. My cats were well taken care of and entertained when they actually ventured out from under the bed. Thanks again!”

“Joann is absolutely amazing! She took such great care of our two huskies, and they absolutely adore her. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands while we were away. She was reliable, attentive, sent us pictures and kept us updated with wonderful report cards that showed just how happy and well cared for our pups were. You can tell she truly loves animals, and it shows in the way our dogs respond to her. We are so grateful to have found her and will definitely be booking with her again!”

About: I am a dog lover and empath with 2 rescue pitbulls of my own. They’re favorite cousin is a chihuahua. I’ve loved and taken care of large and small dogs for most of my life. I’m a true introverted home-body. I work from home and so my availability is very flexible. I generally only leave the home for a few hours at a time and/or for short evening/weekend socializing I’m very sensitive to a dog’s mood and natural anxieties and so I don’t take unnecessary risks. Any boarded pets would have their own private bedroom and will be kept separate even for potty breaks in my fenced yard.
“Peyton has been great with my dog! He a very nervous dog and needs a lot of patience. Peyton has also gone above and beyond in helping me while I’ve been out of town.”

About: I was born into a dog family and have had (usually big) dogs my entire life! I have regularly dog sat since I was 10 years old and continue to enjoy doing so today. I am experienced in working with reactive dogs who have had behavioral issues in the past and with dogs who need more focused care. (Note: Depending on the dog, an additional fee may incur) I generally work between 10AM-5PM on weekdays. You can expect me to spend at least ~10 hours per day with your pet(s) including time spent sleeping over. I average around 12-14 hours. I care for pets based off their unique needs and personalities. No one is quite the same after all! I do my best to understand and adapt to what the pet I'm working with needs and wants.
“Mackenzie was amazing and brought us peace of mind while travelling. She was on point with taking care of our illusive cat. She gave us a couple pics and a wonderful update on how she's doing. Thank you so much for being available for us and we're super hopeful future trips align with your availability!”

“Michaela is one of the best Rover’s I have ever had. She is so genuine, responsive, attentive, understanding, etc!!!! I have unfortunately had to cancel last minute and she never seems upset or bothered by the circumstances. I would recommend her to anyone. Thank you Michaela for being so sweet to our fur babies!!!”

Miesha was the best! She gave me plenty of thorough updates and took lots of pictures, and went above and beyond to not only take care of the animals but my personal property as well. She even brought her own printed reports to log details like how much the babies ate and drank. Would absolutely recommend her to anyone and will definitely be asking for her help again in the future!

Tara did a wonderful job with all of my animals. She provided great peace of mind while we were away ensuring everyone was cared for. She sent pictures and updates. Tara went above and beyond to help with a couple of non-mammals in addition to our 2 dogs. I have wanted a reliable and caring pet sitter and found her! We will definitely use Tara again.

Nadezhda was an absolute angel! She has watched my little Sebastian a few times and everytime she has been so amazing. Great communication- always sends pics of my sweet boy and his food. She even went by my apt to check and see if my wet food had been delivered and unboxed and put in my fridge! She is so easy to work with and so kind. I would recommend her 10/10 to anyone!

Pamela was fantastic with Barnaby! She sent photos for the visit and clearly spent quality time playing with him. I felt completely comfortable knowing he was in her care, and it was so reassuring to get those updates while I was away. Would absolutely book her again — highly recommend!

I cannot recommend Kimberly enough! She does weekly visits with my pup and has also watched him for both short and long stays, and I always know he’s in the best hands. She truly cares for him like he’s her own, and it shows in the love and attention she gives him. Her pup is also an amazing playmate, so I know my dog is not only safe and cared for, but genuinely happy while I’m away. She’s reliable, thoughtful, and treats every dog as she would her own!

I can’t stress how thankful I am to have a thoughtful and reliable cat sitter! My cats are a bit high maintenance (requiring medication and sometimes messy), but Hannah handles it with ease every time. I appreciate the detailed updates, love she gives my cats, and sweet photos she leaves behind. Thanks girl!! 🫶🏽

Harmony was so sweet and loving towards all of my animals, even my fish. You can tell she cares and she does a wonderful job. I’m so glad she helped keep my babies company while I was away. I know Rosie loved the cuddles and Panini enjoyed playtime. Thank you Harmony!
