“Suzanne did great with our two babies. We just moved in area and wanted to try out Rover for our long days in office. Suzanne was great with letting my pups go out and safely brought in. We are thankful”

“If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Did amazing with our dog & got the best pictures! Provided complete updates on each visit. Would recommend to everyone & would rebook without question.”

“Stephanie was absolutely amazing! Despite being out of town, away from our baby Winnie, Stephanie made sure we were up to date on Winnie’s well-being every time she dropped in. She left fun, informative notes and the cutest pictures ever! She was even adaptive when plans changed last minute. I will 100% be using Stephanie’s services moving forward and will be recommending her to anyone in need of service!”

“reached out to Addysin at the last minute for drop-in visits for my dog, Arena, and I’m so grateful she was available. She was easy to communicate with and took great care of my pup! I will definitely reach out to her again in the future. Arena and I are very happy with Addysin! 😊”

About: I have been taking care of pets my entire life. I currently have 4 rescue dogs of my own and they are the joy of my life. I would graciously look after your fur babies too! Two of my dogs are seniors and also take medications. I am well versed in the art of looking after our senior friends and can manage most medications with ease. I love to play on the floor with them and give kisses just as much as I get them. Life is not the same without a dog (or 4). I currently work from home and can generally set my own schedule which gives me the freedom to help others when their pets need some TLC. I have a fenced-in yard, with a dog door access. I even have a ramp through the dog door to make it easier for our senior friends or even those little ones with short legs. I also keep pee pads stocked and understand that in life, accidents happen. My pets have the run of the house and I am very attentive to them throughout the day. I would be just as playful and attentive with them when I drop by your place too.

About: I have taken care of pets for family and friends that have trusted me to do it. I had taken care of many types of dogs. I have also taken care of farm animals such as goats, cows, and chickens. I have a lot of time outside of school because I have a modified schedule and I am very flexible in my time and care. I have three dogs and one tortoise. I have also cared for cats at other homes and have had no issues at all in doing so.
About: I’m a big dog and cat lover. I have owned and taken care of my own pets for at least the last 6+ years. I take pride in a job well done. I have been working for a vet for the last few weeks and have picked up a few key thing to look for if your animal is sick or having problems. I am home most of the time which gives me great opportunity to focus on your fur babies. When you leave your pet in my care it will be as if you never left. I will give them the undivided attention they need to keep them calm and happy. I love all animals and look forward to taking care of your fur babies.
“Thank you so much Jessica for taking such great care of Peaches! Jessica went above and beyond to give Peaches the best care, she played with her outside fed her and took cute pictures. Peaches was so happy to be cared for by Jessica, will definitely rebook!”

“We really appreciate Lydia's help. We can tell from the photos she provided of our dogs that they were well taken care of. Having someone look after our dogs on such a long vacation was a relief. Being able to keep them at our house was certainly a stress relief for them and us. They both get a little separation anxiety so not having to leave them at a boarding place was a great plus. Once again, the pictures showed that they enjoyed having Lydia there and the updates she gave us every day were a load off our minds. We would absolutely book Lydia again.”

“Jackie is the sweetest and my very unsocialized pups just adored her! I appreciate her playing with them and snuggling them and treating them like they are her own. 10/10 would recommend!”

“Shane and Danielle did an excellent job with the kitties who are very shy while we were gone. They even brought in packages delivered while we were away. We will consider them again for the future.”

“We first used Megan on a Saturday when we were gonna be gone all day. The last 2 times I've needed her very last minute due to family circumstances that required me to be out of town. She has found a way to work me in and I appreciate it so much :). She always lets me know when she arrives and leaves and sends pictures. I'm glad I found her!”

About: I have lived with dogs in our home since I was a young children, which has given us an innate understanding for their needs and requirements. If you hire me, you are bringing a true dog lover into your house rather than just hiring a pet sitter. I hope to be able to express my lifetime of love for pet care to your family! I am currently in school at UNCC so I do work part-time but I have flexible hours. I am also able to work different times throughout the day. Safety, trust, and a loving atmosphere are at the top of my services. It's essential to meet with you and your pet before starting the job so we can learn about their routine, habits, and any special needs or medical conditions. This helps me in developing a special care plan that meets the specific needs of your pet. And finally, I value open communication. I can send you regular texts, pictures, or videos while you're gone to let you know how your pet is doing.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
