About: I’ve owned dogs for the past 10 years. I helped raise my family’s dog and then got a puppy of my own at the end of 2023! I’m a very active person and absolutely love walking and running. Whether you've got an energetic dog that needs a lot of exercise or a relaxed dog (or cat!) that enjoys a chill stroll, I'm ready for it! My schedule during the day is very open right now, looking to fill it with lots of walks and games of fetch! My weekends and evenings tend to be a bit busier, but I can accommodate special requests if you let me know in advance! I’m happy to provide what ever care your dog needs in your home. Whether that is walks or simple play and pet time, I’m happy to be there.
About: Hi there! 🐾 My partner and I both grew up around dogs, have had our own dogs, and are foster dog parents. We'd love the opportunity to cuddle and take the very best care of your pup. Think of us as your dog's godparents! We know how hard it can be to leave your fur babies. We would love to ease that worry for you and send photos/videos and keep you updated throughout the stay! We both work from home so we will stay with your pet. With our flexible schedule, we'll be able to keep to your dog's normal routine and schedule with walks, potty, meal time, and play time! We have crates, beds, and plenty of treats and toys. We also have a huge fenced-in yard where we can play fetch and run around. I believe dogs need to be stimulated mentally and physically. In addition to getting good exercise through daily walks, I also have lots of toys and balls, sniff mats, lick mats, and food puzzles. I also enjoy training dogs so your dog may come home having learned a new trick!
“Bree has been great with Mochi! She is on time, communicative, and patient- learning to use Mochi's e-collar and dominant dog collar. She is also understanding of my anxiety around Mo's selective aggression in our extremely dog-friendly apartment complex. She is super vigilant about other dogs, and attentive to environmental risks on walks. Her attentiveness puts me at ease, and I would recommend her without reservation.”

“Callie was the only reason we were able to get through the very young puppy stage with our Belgian Shepherd mix Clove. Callie walked Clove daily from when Clove was 2 months old to four months. Callie was clear and communicative about her schedule from the beginning, clearly outlining her availability with more than a month's advance notice. She let us know about any issues (all normal puppy stuff, but always helpful to know!) Callie is reliable, responsible, and kind. We loved that she left treats and a sweet note at the end of our first week. Callie gets our highest recommendation, and we'll continue to request Callie for one-off dog walks in the future!”

“Andrea is doing wonderfully with our dog Bear. Bears a little shy around new people but she took right to Andrea and is excited every time she comes to our home. Andrea is also incredibly flexible and a joy to work with. Highly recommend.”

About: I’ve had two of my own dogs and fostered 4 puppies. I’m definitely a hands off kind of sitter, i let the dog come to me on their own terms. I have had high and low energy dogs and enjoy both. I adore dogs and need them in my life but i don’t want to my own right now. Your dog helps me keep my day moving. I have a door to the patio outside of my office/bedroom. The only issue would be dogs who can’t do stairs. We have a pee spot in the patio if it’s really bad weather.
“Rachel takes care of my dog as if he were her own! He is always happy to see her and go on his walks. Rachel gives me peace of mind when I’m working and is very trustworthy!”

About: I can take any type of animals!! Crazy, big, small, etc. I love em all. I’m very outgoing with them! And love playing and going on walks and talking to the animals!! My mom worked on Rover for a few years and I always helped out when her clients wanted her care but she wasn’t available. We had dogs stay at our house and it was just as fun for me as it was for them! My mom helped me realize this type of job and without a doubt I would love to do what she did! I am currently in an internship in Center City Monday-Friday. But once school starts I’ll be working there part time so my availability will open up more. I have no problem with stopping by in the before and after work to care you your dog/dogs! I am always free Friday into Sunday if you need a caretaker for your pet while you are away. I have them in my view at all times!! I have good communications with dogs and make sure their needs are met by their body language.
“Liz is great …..Jasper was acting up a little but she was able to calm him and make him feel secure….I will definitely hire her again…..and again….I felt Jasper was in good hands and I felt calm and secure too… Thank You Liz”

“Olivia has been absolutely amazing with my two dogs. I've got a giant breed pup who isn't the easiest to handle (or the smartest), but Olivia has been great with him. She's also been incredibly professional, prompt, and handled the curveballs pets love to throw (like handling when one dog got an upset stomach and had an accident).”

“Gabrielle has been a blessing to our new family member, Lupin, and to us, since she has been providing a daily mid-day walk and something for Lupin to look forward to now that we are all back to work. 🐾🐾”

“Margo is incredibly compassionate and caring. She is so helpful, reliable, a great communicator and has gone above and beyond. She is caring for my elderly mom's dog - walking him 3 times a day, handling his food, water and medicine. My mom's dog absolutely loves her and whines at the door when he realizes that she's arrived. Margo is also great with my elderly mom. Hire her! You won't regret it.”

I am punctual, kind, and empathetic, and I truly enjoy helping shy dogs come out of their shells. With my own reliable transportation, I am ready to provide your dog with the dedicated care they deserve. I look forward to treating your beloved companion with the same love and attention I give my own. I have a flexible schedule and am available for dog walks throughout the week, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings. I understand that every dog has different needs, and I’m happy to work with your schedule to provide reliable, consistent walks and plenty of exercise, attention, and care. Animals have always been a part of my family, and I care for every pet as if they were my own. My childhood dog lived to be 15 years old, and I was there to help care for him throughout his life, especially in his senior years when he needed extra support. He was truly my best friend and taught me the importance of patience, compassion, and attentive care. Today, I care for my own dog and cat every day by feeding them, giving them attention, and making sure they are happy and healthy. I walk my dog before and after work and throughout the day as needed, and I enjoy spending quality time playing with both my dog and cat. I have a genuine love for animals, but dog walking is something I especially enjoy. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness will always be my top priorities, and I will treat them with the same care and attention I give my own pets.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and did over night visits. For friends and family. I also have taken care of puppies that were 6 months. I’m currently working part time at Costco. I normally work night shift and have two days off. I could walk dogs in the morning or at night I normally feed them twice a day once in the morning and the other at night. I would walk them three or four times a day. I would then take them outside to either play or run around in a safe environment.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Essington
Kim was awesome I needed a last minute dog walker and she responded right away. She was very thoughtful and considerate asking questions about my dog. She kept me notified and sent pictures and she gad a great disposition and personality!! I never met her before and trusted her in my home with my dog and she made me feel reassured and confident I highly recommend her!

Kevin is wonderful. Having a difficult dog, can leave you with limited options. Kevin has the patience and kindness that is just what’s needed to get our Brooke leashed up and out for a walk. Once out, I believe she’s well behaved, it’s the initial excitement and new people gets her stirred up. Also, all instructions are followed as I worry if my single dog gets into the area my other 2 dogs there could be an issue. This is the 3rd walk w Kevin. I’m very happy and I can feel confident at work knowing all of our dogs are well cared for… Thanks again Kevin!

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
