About: I’ve had a lifetime of caring for a wide range of animals. Particularly dogs and horses but all creatures welcome. Good with body language and attentive to animals needs. I’m an avid hiker and love taking dogs for walks. 💕 I work part time from home and have a flexible schedule to accommodate your pet’s needs. This flexibility lends itself well to constant care required by puppies, the elderly and other special souls. I rarely host multiple families of dogs at one time (might be some overlap on pickup/drop off days) and prefer to focus on a quality experience for the dog over multiple bookings. If you make a request and I tell you it’s not a good fit at this time, it’s because I have carefully considered the safety and happiness of another client. Your pet will not be left unattended for extended periods of time during the day. I know firsthand how stressful it can be to find quality pet care and pride myself on being dependable and responsive. I take the responsibility of caring for your animal seriously. I live in a rural area on a road with very little traffic. We have two horses, chickens and two dogs on our 14 acre property. I do not have a fenced area and use tie outs for porch lounging and hand walking for potty runs. Your pet will have access to the main floor of my house (no stairs) including furniture (if allowed). The ability to change the floor plan also allows to separate animals if beneficial.

About: I am very flexible with hours. I am an active person and happy to play with your pet and walk them as much as needed. I grew up in the cold, so weather doesn't bother me walking or driving. I also am willing to work with your hours and do what is best for your pet. I also am always happy to send pictures and check in so you know they are living your best life. I can be flexible but I am a morning person so early walks are okay with me. I can also drop in easily through the day with little issue. I grew up with large dogs (lover (100lbs) and 2 cats, and am the current owner of a Bernese Mountain dog who I love. I love all animals but tend to lean to bigger dogs. I like cats butdon't currently own one due to my husband. I am newer to rover but have spent a lot of time caring for my own pets but also dog sitting for others in their homes over the last 7 years.

My dogs are named Norbert and Newt, and they are both some big ole lovers. Growing up without pets in the house, I was always trying to bring friends' pets home! I also dog-sat for one particular family in high school and I loved it. Pet-sitting for me is all the joys of owning a dog only on a part-time basis. I have my basement set up for my dogs to have the run of it - it is the coolest part of the house and completely dog friendly! About: Hello! My name is Tabatha Garman, I am the sole owner and operator of Special Paws Pet Care and a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT). As a veterinary technician, I play the nurse role of the veterinary team. I graduated from Kent State University with my Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology in May of 2021 and am currently pursuing my Bachelor's of Integrated Studies focused in animal behavior. While in school for my technician license, I gained various hands-on skills with a variety of animals, from dogs and cats to birds, horses, snakes, and much more. Outside of school, I have trained at numerous veterinary hospitals and gained vital experience in CPR and emergency response. My personal experience caring for animals expands far beyond my education and career, as I have cared for my own, family's, and friend's pets my entire life. As previously mentioned, I have a vast range of experience with different species from small pocket pets and reptiles to large and farm animals. I love working with nearly any species, especially pigs and cows! My medication administration skills are just as vast, including giving various types of injections and fluids, oral pill and liquid administration, topical applications, etc. Any pets with special needs are assured to be taken care of! Specializing in animal behavior, those with unique personalities or who are a bit grumpy or naturally prefer alone time are some of my favorite to work with. I love working to understand them and win them over and am happy to try to work with any type of disposition or behavioral challenges. No job is too big or small. Whether you have a pet that needs daily medication, help getting around, and extra special care, or just want to feel comforted knowing that your furry family member is in great hands, I am happy to care for any and all of them. I am currently dedicating my time to in-home pet care while going to school full-time online, so I am free to fit your pet into my schedule however you may need. While I do personalize my schedule to fit your pet specifically, my typical day is scheduled like this and changed as needed, just to give you a better idea of your pet's time with me: When I arrive, I always spend time making sure your pet is happy, comfortable, and has everything they need. When staying with them overnight, I will keep them company until morning, make sure they have everything they need and get some pets or playtime in, then I will leave as needed to tend to any other appointments, making sure to return to check-in and spend time with them at minimum every 3-4 hours, unless more frequently is needed. Whether you just need a daily check in and play time for your cat while you're away, or if you need someone to take your pup out every couple of hours along with walks and lots of play time, or even if you have an older pup who can't really spend time alone at all, we can definitely make a plan to suit your family purrr-fectly. Your pet's safety is always my top priority. Whether at home, in the car, at the vet, out for a walk, or at the park, I am always extremely diligent to make sure your pet stays safe and sound. I always use doggy seatbelts or enclosures when driving, reflective strips and flashlights at night, ramps and manual assistance for mobility-challenged pups, predator-deterrent to protect them from harm, and vet-approved chews or boredom busters to make sure your pup is happier and healthier when you arrive back home. Out of an abundance of caution, I typically do not have pets I'm watching interact with other pets I'm unfamiliar with (ie: no communal dog parks). In the case that anything does happen while I am with them, I am trained on the safest and most effective way to stop a dog fight, as well as being trained in CPR, emergency triage and response, and homeostatic stabilization. I also always have a list of the nearest emergency hospitals on hand should they ever be needed. I strive to follow all pet-parent's wants and needs for their pets, including whatever training or rules you may have for your pet while they are in my care (crating, treats, toys, etc). My dog, who passed away recently, was dearly loved and a part of the family. I have cared for my neighbors, family, and friends pets for many years. Whether your dog is small, medium, or large, low energy or high, sweet tempered or high strung, I have taken care of them all. About: Everyone on here probably has a lot of experience caring for dogs and cats, but few can also say they've bathed, fed, trained, and cared for a variety of other animals such as horses, sheep, chinchillas, ferrets, birds, and even armadillos. I raised a golden retriever and a dozen cats growing up, among other farm animals. I also currently work as a full-time zookeeper at Keystone Safari. I love animals and enriching their lives is my passion, so you can be assured your pet will get the most professional and personal care possible. I work 4 days a week and my schedule varies each week, I will find out my work schedule about a week in advance and do my best to keep my availability updated on here!
