About: I have 3 years of experience caring for a senior rescue Schnauzer with special needs and 4 years of loving and raising cats. I’m patient, gentle, and attentive—especially with older pets and those needing extra care. I treat every animal like family and always tailor my care to their unique needs, routines, and personalities. Whether it’s a slow walk, medication, or playtime, I’ve got it covered with love and reliability. I work full-time Monday through Thursday, which means I’m fully available Fridays through Sundays for pet care. Whether you need weekend drop-ins, overnights, or extended stays, I’ve got the time and flexibility to give your pet the attention they deserve. Whether I’m caring for pets in your home or mine, I create a calm, clean, and secure environment. I follow all care instructions closely and make sure pets feel safe and comfortable by sticking to their routines. I’m respectful of your space, give regular updates, and treat every pet like they’re my own—with patience, kindness, and lots of love.

About: Hi! I’m Whitney! a lifelong dog lover and proud pet parent to a Husky and an Australian Shepherd—so I know a thing or two about high-energy, smart, and sometimes stubborn dogs! I’ve learned how to balance exercise, mental stimulation, and lots of love to keep dogs happy and healthy. Whether your pup is a couch potato or a trailblazing explorer, I’m ready to match their energy and meet their needs. I’m comfortable with all breeds, sizes, and temperaments and have experience handling multiple dogs at once. What You Can Expect: Long walks or playtime (tailored to your dog’s energy level) Timely feedings and meds (if needed) Frequent updates and photos Respect for your routines and preferences A safe, loving environment Whether you need drop-in visits, walks, or overnight care, your pup will be treated like family. My goal is to make sure they feel comfortable, secure, and entertained while you're away. Let’s chat and set up a meet-and-greet—I’d love to learn more about your dog and how I can help! I work remotely on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, which means I’m home most of the day and can give your pup extra attention, potty breaks, and playtime. These are great days for doggy daycare, drop-ins, or longer stays where your dog won’t be alone for long. On the other days, I plan around my availability to make sure your dog’s needs come first. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I focus on creating a calm, comfortable environment that matches their normal routine as closely as possible. In my home, pets get plenty of attention, supervised playtime with my friendly Husky and Australian Shepherd (if appropriate), and regular outdoor breaks in a safe space. I’m mindful of feeding schedules, exercise needs, and any special instructions you provide—whether that means administering medication, sticking to crate training, or reinforcing behavior cues. In your home, I treat your space with respect and make sure your pet feels safe and secure in their familiar surroundings, keeping their routine consistent to reduce stress while you're away.

About: I’ve had extensive experience working with and taking care of dogs. I grew up with 3 dogs and have been around and taken care of them my whole life. 3 years ago when I adopted my dog Luna, an anxious rescue, is when I really dove into research on the best practices for ways to train, take care of, and advocate for dogs— and now consider it one of my greatest passions. I also spent a year on and off volunteering at Coconino animal shelter in Flagstaff, AZ getting experience providing care to all kinds of dogs! I am in an online grad program for mental health counseling, with a part-time internship— so I am home a lot and am flexible! I have a fenced yard and 1 friendly husky mix that looooves to play. Big area of grass, with lots of toys, bones and a large backyard that provides plenty of stimulation. I have a large doggy door for easy access outside. I also have a large cozy crate in my garage if needed!

About: I’ve cared for dogs for friends and acquaintances and truly enjoy spending time with animals. While I’m newer to Rover, I take pet care seriously and treat every home and pet with respect. I’m responsible, communicative, and attentive to details like feeding schedules, exercise needs, and keeping pets comfortable in their own routine. I’m happy to provide regular photo updates and follow any specific instructions to make sure your pet feels safe and loved while you’re away. I may not have years of professional experience, but I’m dependable, patient, and genuinely care about doing a great job. I travel frequently but update my availability regularly and only accept bookings I can fully commit to. I’m a great fit for one-time walks, vacation coverage, or short-term needs. I’m reliable, communicative, and will always be upfront about my availability. I prioritize safety, clear communication, and following your pet’s routine closely. About: Hi! I've grown up around dogs since I was 13 years old, including living with 3 adorable Pompskies , so being around pups feels very natural to me. I'm very friendly, responsible, and truly love every dog | meet like they're my own. I enjoy giving them attention, playtime, walks, and making sure they feel safe and happy while you're away. Your pet will be in caring and loving hands with me! I’m currently looking for a side hustle and I feel like dog sitting would be perfect. I am available Monday- Friday but if you do need weekends we can talk about that! My mom has a fenced in yard with 2 dogs that would love to play. I live in a big open yard and I have 2 dogs that live here with me as well, but it is not fenced in. So I live out in a big open area. But I can keep them on a leash or in a crate!

About: I grew up on a horse ranch of 75+ head. After the US Navy and college I adopted dogs and cats, until I could afford my own champion stock. Animals like my energy and words. After eating we play. Feeling better we take a nap while Flash locks up the house and checks that all utilities in normal status. Then Flash goes home to study more about online mapping. God and my Parents Blessed me with responsibility for the ranch animals age twelve. That was my allowance to buy books. I read a lot. I got up at 6 am to feed the horses. It was dark and cold. Westerners still learn accountability very young. Anymore, I am still caring for pets around my learning and continuing education geographic economic studies. Pets and Flash establish a routine, so everyone knows the play and friendship to come. The schedule gets written with the owner's needs dove-tailed with Flash's continuing education at SUU. The safety of the house and property is paramount. It gets checked regularly to make sure the animals and infrastructure are secure. The well being of the pets is what it's all about.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
