About: I have taken care of animals for as long as I can remember. I grew up on a farm so animals are a priority in my life. I just moved to the city & have plenty of time to take care of your fur babies! Weekdays work better than weekends for now. I have a fenced in yard, as well as many walking paths to bring your fur babies on. My dog loves other dogs & LOVES to play but can also relax.

About: Hello everyone! I am Lyn and I am looking to provide care for animals of all sorts. I have experience in caring for cats, dogs, and even bunnies! I have a large space for your loved ones to play in as well as a pool i monitor ( and is gated off for those who cannot swim) for them to cool off in! I am also .10 of a mile away from the park where we will take walks! I have multiple gates throughout my property to allow for exclusion if your animal enjoys alone time. I’m a unique set up which provides various experiences to cater towards your loved ones needs ! I am very flexible schedule-wise as I am home most of the time and can take last-minute bookings for walks or boarding. Please reach out to me as I can accommodate unusual circumstances as well ! I have a gated-off pool, various spaces that are gated , security cameras, and gates that prevent the animals from getting into closed-off areas, I also have all chemicals in the garage locked off and kept away. An added bonus is my attention to detail as I was a licensed childcare provider who’s making the switch to animals !

About: I am a lifelong animal lover and have grown up around dogs and horses my whole life and have experience caring for animals with a wide range of personalities, energy levels, and needs. I’m currently a dog owner myself, so I understand how important it is to have someone trustworthy and attentive caring for your pet. I’m comfortable with everything from relaxed senior dogs to high-energy pups who need extra exercise and engagement. I also have extensive experience caring for animals with medical needs and can closely follow care instructions, routines, and medication schedules when needed. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while giving owners peace of mind through reliable communication and dependable care! I currently work during the day, but I have late afternoon, evening, and weekend availability for walks, drop-ins, and pet care. I do my best to be flexible and reliable with scheduling, and I’m happy to communicate about specific timing needs to find something that works well for both you and your pet! I have a friendly, playful dog who enjoys the company of other dogs if they like having a buddy to play with. I’m active and love getting dogs outside for walks, whether that’s on nearby trails or around the neighborhood, depending on their energy level and comfort. I always try to make pets feel comfortable and cared for by following their normal routines as closely as possible. I’m experienced with dogs of all energy levels and can adapt to playful, active dogs or pets who prefer a calmer environment.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for as long as I can remember. I’ve worked for a dog breeder in the past and have watched family and friends pets of various species over the years. I have also worked for a doggy daycare/resort! I am currently a college student, so over the summer I have an extremely open schedule to work! I am available mostly anytime and any day outside of Sundays :) I follow any and all instructions left by you for your fur baby. I bring a happy environment to your pet and know how to read a dog’s body language and make them as comfortable as possible.

About: My puppy passion began with my own rescue dog a couple years ago. She has health issues that nobody else wanted to tackle, but her and I were meant to be together. I have taken care of my family’s dogs as well as my own for years now. My family and extended family has a total of 10 dogs and I have grown to love and appreciate each individual personality. I’ve done most of the training on all of the dogs in our family. I’ve had friends and family ask me to in home dog sit and exercise their dogs. As a person who enjoys the outdoors, this is something I’ve very much enjoyed. I would love to meet your cute fur babies! I work a remote job, so I am very flexible. I am grateful that my current position allows me to enjoy the outdoors with my furry friends. Obviously my first concern are the basics; water, food, and exercise. From there I like to feel out each dog’s energy and match what they feel comfortable with! We can be very playful and throw lots of toys, or just cuddle and get lots of pets!

About: I have over 10 years of experience with dogs, cats and exotic animals. I have worked at farms, shelters, rescues, dog daycares, veterinary clinics, and wildlife field work. Throughout my jobs I have learned about caring for dogs and cats, breeds, behavior, training, and common medicines and care. My aspiration is to become a veterinarian or Wildlife biologist one day! I am currently working as a chef, I work Wednesday-sunday 10-5 so you must understand I work so it does not conflict with bookings, I can walk, feed, let out to potty, any time before and after. Dogs have beautiful souls and are more like family than just a pet :) I look forward to helping you and your beloved furry companion! I am currently working as a chef, I work Wednesday-Sunday 10-5 so you must understand when I work so it does not conflict with bookings, I can walk, feed, let out to potty, any time before and after and can petsit on my days off, or when I work as long as you're comfortable with that. Making a pet feel comfortable and safe is important to me, the dog, and the home. A happy pet is a safe and healthy pet.

Whitney has been my regular weekly dog walker for a few weeks now. My two dogs Coconut & Cookie absolutely adore her and get so excited when she comes to pick them up! 😆 She is very friendly and caring. Coconut is a little older & overweight and on a hot day Whitney could tell she needed water & when she couldn’t get some from my house she made sure to find some water in her car for her. She fills me in on all the details of each walk & I would absolutely recommend her to anyone! Thank you, Whitney, for always taking good care of my fur-babies! :)

About: Hi! I've grown up around dogs since I was 13 years old, including living with 3 adorable Pompskies , so being around pups feels very natural to me. I'm very friendly, responsible, and truly love every dog | meet like they're my own. I enjoy giving them attention, playtime, walks, and making sure they feel safe and happy while you're away. Your pet will be in caring and loving hands with me! I’m currently looking for a side hustle and I feel like dog sitting would be perfect. I am available Monday- Friday but if you do need weekends we can talk about that! My mom has a fenced in yard with 2 dogs that would love to play. I live in a big open yard and I have 2 dogs that live here with me as well, but it is not fenced in. So I live out in a big open area. But I can keep them on a leash or in a crate!

FAQs for Dog Walking - Summit

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 64 sitters on Rover offering Dog Walking across Summit. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Summit. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Summit.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
