“Tanya is a veterinary assistant and is awesome with pets. She has cared for all 3 of my pets for vaccines and treatment of heart worms. My older dog got diagnosed with heart worms and I couldn’t afford the expensive treatment to remove them so Tanya recommended a heart worm prevention chewable to help keep my pet comfortable and to kill any baby larvae from the heart worms. My dog seems happy and stopped coughing and seems to be doing great .”

About: I’m a nurse who wishes she was an animal nurse at times! I have cared for other people’s pets including dogs, cats, birds, and hamsters since I was a child. Although my parents refused to get a pet for most of my childhood, they eventually gave in and we adopted a chihuahua which I cared for for almost a decade. I now have an American bully named Rio, who is small for his breed but is a huge sweetie. Rio has a few medications and a special diet, so I am very comfortable with any pets needing medications or special accommodations. I also enjoy training him and other dogs. Bring a healthcare worker, I obviously enjoy being a caretaker for both humans and pets. Rest assured, I’ll care for your pets the way I’d want my Rio to be cared for. I am wrapping up grad school and work part-time. I do a lot of work from home so I am available most of the week and can work around your schedule I will adapt to your pet’s routine as best as I can! I am big on communication, so please don’t be hesitant to let me know how to best care for your pets. I currently do not offer boarding or day care at my home, but will be happy to offer care at your home or take your pet on walks/etc.

“I’ve known Ashley for a very long time and she always has a heart for every dog she meets. Being a strong animal lover that she is makes me feel confident that Ashley will do her best to make any dog feel comfortable and treat them as her own. She has taken care of my dog named Sophie for a week when I went on vacation. Sophie has certain food requirements because of her very sensitive stomach. When I got back I could see that she had followed my instructions, Sophie was in very good condition and that made my heart happy. Having dogs of her own I know that she is very responsible with them and understands that animals have needs like us other than just being fed and walked which is why I recommend her :)”
