About: I've cared for or owned almost every type of pet out there and loved every second of it. I have 5+ years of professional experience caring for and training protection, service, and therapy dogs for clientele. I currently work at a Vet clinic Mon.- Thurs. With open evening availability. Despite a massive wind storm on the first day that took down a major part of a large tree and knocked out the electricity for 4 hours, Candice communicated with us and managed what might have been a very difficult time. About: I grew up helping my family manage a horse farm, always in the vicinity of three or more dogs. This upbringing also put me in the vicinity of other dog/horse/cat enthusiasts, which has led to years of experience taking care of other people's pets! In other words, animal empathy, psychology, and intelligence is a fundamental part of my understanding of myself and the world. I want to put these skills to use in my day-to-day as I live and work out of Old Louisville, in an apartment too small for my own dog or cat. I'm able to provide sitting and pet care references upon request. I spend a lot of time and take a lot of joy in going on walks, and constantly find myself wondering why I don't sign up for Rover and get the privilege of doing so with a dog! So, I finally did. I currently balance two part-time jobs as a nonprofit assistant (which allows working from home) and as a fiddle teacher. My shifts at either location are never more than a few hours, and I get multiple breaks and transitions throughout the day. As such, my schedule is flexible and I largely choose when I work. I'd be available mornings, afternoons, and evenings if needed. I am willing to follow the procedures you have in place for pet care in your home. I believe that you know your pet and what works for their personality!
