About: Never had my childhood home had less than 5 animals. I've grown up taking care of dogs, cats, Guinea pigs, rats, mice, gerbils, bunnies, and turtles-most of those under solely my care. I've always loved caring for my animals and watching them grow. I'm currently working a very flexible schedule Monday-Friday so I will be available almost any time! With weekends, just ask! I can usually squeeze in a visit/walk no problem. We have a 3200 sq ft 2 level home with a large unfenced yard. I have one friendly 8 year old female labradoodle, one very sweet, friendly, and energetic 1 year old newfoundland mix, and another very nonchalant 5 year old male cat. I also have a 9 year old son and a 3 year old son who both love and respect animals. Our home is a very comfortable space for any kid friendly animal to enjoy. We feed 2x a day, let them out to potty at least 4x a day-I will leash if necessary.
“Jena was able to book a stay for a very last minute trip. Our normally shy girls warmed up to her right away, and we loved the video updates! We hope she can regularly sit for us!”

About: I’ve been around pets my whole life and know how to treat them with care and respect. I grew up with multiple animals including dogs, cats, rabbits, and birds. I am currently working part time so I have plenty of time to pet sit as long as it’s outside my work time (usually I work 1 or 2 days a week but other than that I’m free) I will care for your pet according to whatever instructions you give me and I will of course treat your pet with kindness and the love it deserves, just as you would.

“Brooke took great care of our high energy boys. We got regular updates and pictures and the house looked great when we got home. My daughter said it looked weird because it was cleaner than normal…so it had been noticeably cleaned up.”

About: What truly sets me apart is the level of hands-on experience I have with dogs who need extra care. My wife and I have had rescue dogs for over 20 years, and almost every one of them has come to us with medical or emotional challenges. Our first boy developed seizures right after we adopted him, and we gave him medication twice a day for his entire 14-year life. We’ve also cared for dogs with cancer, managed daily medications, and even administered at-home IV treatment when one of our girls needed it. Right now, one of our dogs is going through cancer treatment, and we handle multiple medications, special routines, and close monitoring. Because of this, I’m extremely comfortable giving meds, following detailed care plans, watching for changes in behavior, and providing calm, patient support for senior or medically fragile dogs. In our home, dogs aren’t “pets”—they’re our kids. I bring that same level of love, attention, and respect into every home I care for. Your dog will be treated with the same care, patience, and compassion I give my own. After selling my business, I finally have the freedom to spend my days doing something I genuinely love—being there for dogs who need real attention, not just a quick stop-in. If your pet is older, recovering, dealing with health issues, or simply happier with someone calm and consistent around, I provide steady, patient care right in their home. With an open, flexible schedule, I can stay with your dog as much as needed—perfect for pets that need regular meds, mobility help, special meals, or just someone who won’t rush them. I’m comfortable handling messes, encouraging slow or selective eaters, and adjusting to whatever routine your dog is used to. Light play, companionship, and several relaxed walks (when appropriate) are always included. I take your trust seriously—both with your pet and with your home. I know it’s a big deal to let someone into your personal space, and I handle that responsibility with real respect. I don’t go through anything that isn’t mine, and I keep your home exactly the way you left it. I’m also happy to help with the small things while you’re away—bringing in packages, watering plants, keeping things neat, and making your place look lived-in for added peace of mind. My approach is simple: calm, dependable, and focused. I’m not rushing in and out or checking the clock. My attention stays on your dog and what they need, not on squeezing the visit into a tight schedule.

About: My childhood pets were a 180 lbs Great Dane/English Mastiff mix and an 8 lbs chihuahua, so I can care for dogs of any size. I have done countless hours of research on animals, especially dogs and their behavior, since I was young. I am great at keeping dogs calm and love taking them on walks and can work on leash training for those than need it, weather permitting. If the weather isn't cooperating, I have multiple indoor activities to keep your pet occupied as well! I brush shedding animals and I give baths. I give massages to dogs, especially seniors and our buff babies, which has a myriad of benefits. Administering medications isn't a problem for me at all, and neither is caring for animals with behavioral issues. I love taking and sharing pictures and will keep you in the loop to whatever degree you would like. I worked at a kennel for a year, but the care of the dogs was rapidly and I could no longer be a part of it, so I recently left. I also volunteer at the Kentucky Humane Society. I recently quit my job at a boarding facility because I didn't like how the animals were being treated and I am in the process of creating a business dedicated to petsitting. I'd spend majority of my time with your pet, whether it is at your home, at the park, going on a car ride, or some other adventure. There may be times I leave, but I won't be gone longer than 4 hours at a time, or I will inform you beforehand if it's unavoidable. I will care for your pet how you instruct me to and will not do anything without your express permission, which I will ask for before I stay with your pet. I have a basic questionnaire that I will ask you to fill out beforehand as well so I can keep it in my records. For animals under 15 lbs (other then hybrid indoor/outdoor cats), I will never leave them outside alone just for the off chance there are predatory animals. If there is no physical fence, the same rule applies for animals of all size, even if there is one of those invisible fences. If the feels-like temperature is over 85 degrees or under 35 degrees no matter the size or breed, I do not take the dogs on walks and I limit the time they are outside at a time. Certain sizes, breeds, and medical conditions may make the cut off temperatures change (i.e. pugs will not be walked when it's 80 degrees). How hot the concrete is also plays a part, but I base that on how it feels on my own hand. Animals that enjoy it receive massages, especially seniors and our buff pets. I brush them, play with them, and I have indoor games and activities for them for when the weather isn't cooperating, many that provide mental stimulation. When I'm petsitting, I treat the animal exactly as I would want my own to be treated--for them to follow instructions and to engage with them. When it comes to emergencies and vet visits, that is a case by case basis and if you want more information, please contact me!
About: Hi! I’m a dedicated animal lover offering dog walking services for your furry family members. I’m a mom of four, with two dogs of my own—a German Shepherd and a Pomeranian—and two cats, so I’m very comfortable caring for animals of all sizes and personalities. We recently moved from California. I spent my time hiking twice a week with my dogs, alongside my cousin and her Doberman and cattle dog. Staying active and being outdoors is a big part of my life, and I love bringing dogs along! I treat my pets like family so I understand how important it is to have someone you trust caring for them. Whether your dog needs a quick walk, exercise, or just some companionship during the day, I’m here to help. My husband and I are currently in the process of buying a home, and I’m looking to earn a little extra income while doing something I love. If you’re looking for someone dependable, experienced, and truly passionate about animals, I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your pets! I am currently a stay at home mom. I will be available during the summer and our youngest will be starting kindergarten so my schedule is open to you and your pets needs for long term! I can come to your home, help administer medications, play with your pets and take them for walks. Available for occasional overnight stays if needed.
“We didn’t get to use Diane this time. Our 14 year old Border Collie, Mouse, passed right before Diane was supposed to sit. My husband ended up canceling his trip and stayed home with our cats. However, Diane was very professional and friendly during our meet and greet and extremely empathetic upon finding out about Mouse.”
About: I have experience with both young and older pets. With puppies and kittens, I stay consistent with routines and can help reinforce basic training like potty habits, feeding schedules, and positive behavior. For senior pets, I’m gentle and attentive to their needs, whether that means giving medication, moving at a slower pace, or just providing extra comfort and companionship. I also make sure pet owners feel at ease by keeping communication open—I can send updates, photos, and check-ins so you always know how your pet is doing. My goal is to create a stress-free experience for both you and your pet. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I plan my schedule around the pets I’m caring for. I make time for walks, feeding, playtime, and check-ins throughout the day, and I’m consistent with routines so pets feel comfortable and secure. Throughout the week, I stay flexible to meet each pet’s specific needs, whether that’s extra visits, longer walks, or special care. I’m reliable and make sure every pet gets the attention and care they deserve. In my home or a client’s home, I make sure pets are comfortable, safe, and kept on their normal routine. I follow all feeding instructions, give fresh water, regular potty breaks, and plenty of exercise and attention. I also provide playtime, affection, and calm companionship so they feel at ease while you’re away. I keep the space clean and always respect the client’s home just like it’s my own.
“Misty was great and Luna was safe and secure, happy and healthy when I arrived home. Finding a dog sitter on Memorial Day seemed like an impossible request so imagine my surprise when she accepted, arrived and did a great job. I highly recommend her!”

FAQs for House Sitting - Pleasureville
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 616 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Pleasureville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Pleasureville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Pleasureville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Pleasureville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Pleasureville. On Rover:
- 97% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
