About: Since I was a child, I grew up in a household where we rescued animals. My mother rescued hamsters, rabbits, dogs, and cats, and it surprised no one I followed in her footsteps. Aside from always being a fur-mom myself, I’ve fostered animals on my own accord, with personal finances, and found my rescues their forever homes. I’ve also partnered with a friend, who does run an actual rescue, to perform background checks on applicants. She’s allowed me to use her resources, where I’ve been able to receive affordable veterinary care for my foster visits. I’ve performed CPR on animals, administered medicine orally, and bottle fed newborn puppies and kittens. I’ve done the dirty work, too, where I’ve provided flea baths, removed ticks, and treated “diaper rash”. There’s actually photos I have, where I’m covered in Desitin rash cream. Honestly? There isn’t anything I wouldn’t do to save an animal. Or, to provide an animal love and comfort. I’m permanently working from home, so I have the ability to stay with your furry child all day and care for them. This includes lounging in the house, and I also have my backyard where we can all stretch our legs and play. I am a firm believer in safety first. I treat all animals as if they’re my own children, and I always consider their safety to be paramount. In my own home, I have a pet-friendly setup. This means, I don’t have plants that would be toxic to animals, and I ensure that all food is stored properly and away. There are no sharp objects in my house. When I’m sitting a cat or dog, I’m also always around to make sure they don’t get into anything dangerous. I make sure to use pet safe cleaning products. When I’m house sitting, I respect the rules of someone else’s home, and I ensure that I’m careful when entering and exiting any home (mine or someone else’s) so that no animals escapes. Before sitting for an animal in someone’s home, I have a lengthy conversation with them to go over expectations and the safety rules of the house. I follow these rules like they are my own. I will crate a dog if the pet parent requires it— and dogs and cats are allowed to roam freely in my home (under my watchful eye) if a crate isn’t needed. I will crate as requested.

“We were able to spontaneously book daycare for our two dogs with Patricia while visiting Philly for the day. Patricia provided us with photos & took our dogs on several walks. Our dogs came back happy. We will definitely book with Patricia again when we are back in the area.”

About: I’ve had all kinds of animals from dogs and cats to goats and chickens…even a llama. As a traveler I understand the anxiety that comes with peace of mind when leaving your four legged loved ones in a safe environment where they are well cared for and treated as you would hope when you are away. I work from home and have my own senior dog to keep your pet company. Although I live in an apartment, it has three fenced dog areas onsite as well as lots of areas for walking and exercise. To ensure the safety of both your loved one and mine, I don’t host pets from multiple families, and I throughly sanitize all floors and surfaces, vacuum, and launder everything between special visitors. Throughout my workday I very eagerly utilize meeting my own dogs need for potty breaks and exercise to ensure that I’m not sitting all day in front of a computer. My dog is very friendly and passive, but welcomes making new friends. In my home, dogs have always been treated like family. I can accommodate most any special circumstances.

“Hunter seems experienced and was comfortable with both our dogs. He handled them well. We trusted them with our dogs and had no worries throughout the stay! They were easy to communicate”

“Roxie feels right at home at Tony’s. He takes great care of my senior pup and sends multiple updates, photos and videos throughout the day. Roxie loves grass and enjoys his yard when she’s there and feels comfortable enough to take naps and socialize with the Tony’s small dogs in the house. She just spent 5 days there and we have two more already booked. I am so happy to have found Tony and Stephanie! Thanks again!”

“So grateful for Ashley! I needed someone last minute for doggy daycare and it went very smoothly. She also sent plenty of pictures. I would highly recommend.”

“I don’t know what to say except that Ashely is a consummate professional and possible dog whisperer. At first I was hesitant to leave our dog Hunny with her because Hunny is a little butthole to everyone, even me but Ashley got her to trust her. She even managed to take her out on long walks with her. She even got her to lay next to her which is amazing because Hunny hates everyone. Would recommend. 10/10”

Elmwood dog parents share their Rover experiences
Hard to put into words how grateful I am for Serena. She truly goes above and beyond for the dogs she watches. I happened to come across her while looking for a one time sitter, for my usual was busy, and it was the best thing to ever happen to me. She quickly identified & worked with my 4 month old puppy on behavioral issues. She then proceeded to spend an hour of her own time when I picked my puppy up to talk with me and ease my mind over my pups behavioral issues. She gave me advice, resources, and information—but most importantly, she was simply there for me in an overwhelming time. Many updates and pictures were sent along the way -> communication 10/10. I cannot recommend her enough!!! She’s caring, educated, and extremely passionate about what she does.

My wife and I were in Philly for the weekend to attend a FIFA World Cup Club game and needed some help to have our "doggies" watched while we were at the game. I contacted Rover and Georgilin was the option we picked. We needed some special circunstances, like dropping the dogs around 6 PM and had no time established to pick them up. It could be 11:30 PM or 12:30 AM or 1 AM, because we did not know what time the game would end. Georgilin and her husband were very accomodating, and told us not to worry and just let them know what time we would be getting back. It turns out that the game ended at the time expected and we were able to grab them around 11:45 PM that night, and were well taken care of. Georgelin even sent us some pictures of the two beauties ;-) Thank you so much Georgilin for your caring and we will look you up for sure should we go back to Philly !!!!!

Thank you so much for looking after Griffin and Bandit for the day! I'm a very nervous dog mom and it's such a relief to know they have someone who they can hang with who will take very good care of them. I appreciate all the updates and pictures throughout the day it made me feel like I wasn't far away from them. ☺️

Gabby was an amazing and caring sitter who welcomed our puppy into her home and gave her a great day. Gabby gave her new experiences and attentive to her specific needs. Appreciate her time and would love to have our pup stop by again or recommend to any friend!

Anne was so amazing with Harris, our Chihuahua Terrier mix, during a stressful period for us as new parents! Harris was always excited to go to doggy day care to get some rest and enjoy walks around the park. Anne really seemed to know how to make Harris feel comfortable, which is no small feat with new people.
