About: I grew up with dogs and have had my own now for 8 years. Dogs are an important part of my life and I enjoy them so much. I did dog walking with Wag for about a year while I lived in Denver, I had several repeat customers who enjoyed my services. I am careful with weather, environment, and triggers for each dog. Playtime or walks are something I find very important and I ensure happens to keep them exercised and healthy. I run an online business so I am able to easily care for pets during the week and evenings. My weekends are wide open to care for your pet so you can getaway on your trips! Let your pawed friends enjoy the freedom of the country without the hustle and bustle of the city! I run an online business so I am able to easily care for pets during the daytime during weekdays. My weekends and evenings are wide open to care for your pet. I have a fenced yard for dogs to freely roam and go potty. There are nice shady trees if they enjoy lounging outside and plenty of new smells to explore. There are sticks available if your dog is a stick lover (please inform if this is not allowed.) My home has AC to keep pets cool and give shelter from summer heat. Dog water is RO filtered and pure. I can ensure there are multiple water dishes to ensure there is always water available. Potty time is always available. Walks around the neighborhood are leashed. There are no unexpected encounters with off-leash dogs on walks, the occasional neighbor dog barking from the distance. My home has distance from the next neighbor with pets. My "caged pets" that is shown on my profile is a 70 gallon saltwater aquarium with fish and corals. Should not be an issue with any pets. Some might even be curious to watch them moving around.

Dolores was truly so kind and welcoming to our baby boy Pine. It was our first time having a sitter and as all parents we worried quite a bit. Dolores kept us updated very frequently with pictures and messages. Pine had a great time with her and her family. We are looking forward to Pine’s next day out!

Tyffanie did a great job with my Dalmatian puppy. He’s a little hyper and I was extremely nervous to drop him off but I got so many cute photos and updates from her throughout the day! He came home so tired he immediately fell asleep and seemed worn out from all the attention he received! So happy to have found her and will be using her for all my puppy’s daycare needs!

About: We’re lifelong dog lovers with 16 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages, personalities, and sizes, from senior lap dogs to large, high-energy breeds. Our home currently includes a sweet 16-year-old Shih Tzu and an 80-pound Griffon, so we’re very comfortable balancing different temperaments, energy levels, routines, and care needs. What sets us apart is the environment we provide. We’re not just offering a place to stay, dogs get a calm, loving home with plenty of space to safely explore, play, sniff, relax, and feel part of the family. We understand that every dog is different, and we adapt to their comfort level, whether they’re an energetic adventurer or a couch cuddler who just wants a quiet place to nap. We’re especially attentive to communication, routines, and making pet parents feel confident while they’re away. Pets are already a central part of our daily life, so welcoming additional dogs into our routine feels natural. Our days already revolve around walks, feeding schedules, outdoor time, play, cuddles, and making sure our own dogs are happy and comfortable. Because I work from home and wespend a lot of time at home as a family, dogs receive consistent supervision, companionship, and interaction throughout the day, not just quick check-ins. We also have the flexibility to accommodate different exercise needs, potty schedules, and slower-paced senior routines when needed. Weekends are especially great for dogs here, with lots of outdoor time, relaxed family energy, and room to roam. Creating a safe, low-stress environment is our top priority. Dogs in our care are treated like part of the family and are always supervised appropriately based on temperament, age, and energy level. Our property provides plenty of space for dogs to play and explore safely while still having access to comfortable indoor areas to rest and decompress. Since we have experience with both senior dogs and large breeds, we understand the importance of introductions, boundaries, pacing, and reading dog behavior carefully. We keep communication open and proactive with pet parents and are happy to provide updates, photos, and reassurance throughout each stay. Our goal is simple: for your dog to feel safe, loved, exercised, and genuinely at home while you’re away.

About: I’ve been around dogs for as long as I can remember. I grew up with them, I’ve always had my own, and honestly, I can’t imagine a house without one. I started helping out neighbors and family with their pets when I was 10, and I’ve been the "go-to" dog sitter for my friends ever since. I’ve handled just about every personality type there is. I treat every dog I watch like they’re part of my own family. I’m 62 years old and work from home so I’m available most days, so I’ll have plenty of time to hang out and play with your pups! Because of my flexible schedule your pet can always talk me into cuddling instead of working. Big bonus is I live in Meridian Ranch. We have a fenced yard and a doggie door to ensure your pet stays safe at all times. We also allow pets on our furniture as well as in the beds….just sayin…..we have two grandchildren who adore dogs and are excited about having them here when they visit. We have had some pets who have peed in the house despite being house broken. If needed we do put belly bands/&or diapers on your pet if they use our carpet/and or furniture instead of outside. We do host up to four pets at a time so there could be a chance that your pet would have a playmate during their stay.

From what I could tell, Tigger had a lot of fun! Lily has 3 other dogs who were very sweet and played well with Tigger. When I got her back she was so tired she just slept the rest of the night! Lily was very communicative and did everything I requested. This was truly a last minute life saver!

About: I’ve been caring for animals for most of my life, starting as a devoted cat mom and later becoming a dog mom as well. Growing up in a military family, I was often trusted to care for the pets of other military families while they were away. That early responsibility taught me not only the basics of pet care, but also how important it is to provide comfort, consistency, and love when their owners can’t be there. As a pet parent myself, I’ve experienced both the deep joy and the heartbreak that comes with loving our fur babies. I’ve watched my own pets grow, thrive, and eventually say goodbye—experiences that have given me a deep understanding of the trust you place in someone when you leave your pet in their care. I’ve even supported one of my own through a battle with cancer, providing attentive, compassionate care every step of the way. I work from home, which allows me to be present and attentive for most of the day. Your pets won’t be left alone for long stretches—they’ll have plenty of supervision, interaction, and comfort throughout their stay. I also have a welcoming home with a fully fenced yard and two young children (ages 4 and 16 months) who are gentle, loving, and already learning how to respectfully interact with animals. Together, we create a warm, family-oriented environment where pets can feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. Because of these experiences, I treat every pet as if they were my own—with patience, attentiveness, and genuine affection. Whether your pet needs playtime, cuddles, routine care, or a little extra support, you can feel confident knowing they are in loving, capable hands while you’re away. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine since I work from home and am able to be present throughout the day. I’m already used to a structured schedule that includes feeding, playtime, outdoor time in our fenced yard, and of course plenty of cuddles and attention. Because I’m home most of the time, I’m able to provide consistent supervision and companionship, making sure pets feel comfortable, safe, and included in the daily rhythm of our home. I build my day around their needs—whether that’s regular potty breaks, exercise, play sessions, or simply relaxing close by. On a weekly basis, pet care is a normal and joyful part of our household. With two young children and our own pets, creating a loving, pet-friendly environment is already part of our lifestyle. Adding another pet into that routine feels seamless, and I make sure each one gets individualized attention, care, and comfort while they’re with us. In my home, pets are treated like part of the family. Since I work from home, I’m able to provide consistent supervision, companionship, and care throughout the day. I stick closely to their normal routine for feeding, potty breaks, exercise, and rest to help them feel comfortable and secure. Pets have access to a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor time, along with plenty of indoor space for play, relaxation, and cuddles. I also make sure they receive lots of individual attention so they feel right at home. My goal is to provide a safe, loving, and low-stress experience where your pet feels comfortable, cared for, and happy until you return.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Ellicott commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 602 sitters in Ellicott, 88% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
