“Brittney is wonderful! She is always quick to respond and very communicative. And she is so good with my cats! I really feel relieved when I can leave them in her care when I have to go out of town.”

“This was my first time using a pet sitter now that I am not near family and Shaun was great! He checked in on my cat Tink several evenings this past week while I had to work late. Tink is diabetic and requires insulin injections on a strict schedule and he was there when I needed him to be to make sure she gets her shots on time. The feedback and pictures I received assured me she was in great hands and that she got along with him just fine. I will definitely be booking Shaun again in the future ?”

“Sara was awesome! Totally flexible and great about keeping me updated about my dog! She even stayed with him through a tornado warning! Thank you for taking such great care of my baby!”

“Wendy was fantastic to work with! She really helped me out on a short notice and my girls and I are very grateful for her help. They look like they loved it! We will definitely book with Wendy”

“Thank you for taking care of Dillon! Lucy was very attentive to our older dogs needs and extremely pleasant to work with. We would highly recommend her for your pets needs.”
“Deborah is awesome. My Frenchie puppy loves her and she is consistent and reliable. Communication is easy and she replies back quickly as well. I would highly recommend her :)”

“Haley is wonderful and so accommodating! She met our little guy beforehand to get to know him and us better and is fantastic at communicating! We already have another visit booked soon!”

“Westley is great with our trio of Doodles. It’s been a few months since we had needed him to drop in. But we could tell from the pictures he sent they were VERY happy to see him!”

About: I have been around dogs my whole life. I grew up with a dog and other pets and have lived with friends who have dogs. I am a former cat owner so I understand the importance of taking care of animals and the love and attention they need. I am willing to do some physical activity such as hikes or fun at the dog park or walk around the block. I love to play with animals. I am attentive to feeding schedules and experienced in administering oral medicine to animals as well. I think overall, I have a great ability to connect with dogs and cats and care with compassion. I am respectful of boundaries and am willing to pick up and bag poop which I know many people just do not like to do. I am an uber driver and delivery personnel so I have availability most of the time since I set my own schedule. I would be available for a normal schedule starting at 9am or 10am. I can follow protocol if dogs need to be crated, cats need high level of play in order to sleep at night. I pay attention to detail.

“Sarah saved our lives! We moved to Bloomington shortly after getting married and dont know anybody in town to watch our cats who are basically our children. She really goes above and beyond.”

“Chelsea went above the bare minimum for my Reggie. Including visiting beforehand to introduce herself to Reggie, to staying longer when he was hesitant to go walking. In the end, Reggie opened up her which is a testament to her care toward him.”

About: I've have taken care of dogs for as long as I can remember. I am constantly around animals and having to commit myself to taking care of them. I am comfortable around all pets and I am very flexible and willing to learn how to best take care of your animal. When I come to take care of, play with, and walk your pets, I will dedicate my time to loving them. I've had 5 energetic dogs throughout my life. My family has had everything from small to really big. We had a papillon, papillon mix, pomeranian, pitbull/boxer mix, and a pitbull/german shepherd mix. My dogs were always the larger ones and I can handle walking very large dogs easily since my dogs weren't the best on the leash. Currently we have two dogs but I learned how to take care of them when they were babies, to when they were having old age problems. So, I can work with any range of age. I also have a cat in college now that I love taking care of. I am a student-athlete currently, but I always have time in the evenings to dedicate to taking care of a pet. I am available for drop-ins on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. When you are home, I would love to take your fur babies for walks, to dog parks, anything you already do with them to make them the most comfortable! I am a student-athlete at IU Bloomington, so my schedule is a little packed but I miss my pets and I also love to walk, so this sounded like a great option. I am free on Saturday after morning practice, all day Sunday, mostly all day Tuesday, and all day Thursday. :) I would care for my client's pets like they were my own. I can handle giving them constant attention, feeding, walking, watering, and everything else. I am 6'0 ft tall, so I can handle big dogs if necessary.
“Matthew & Ellie were great! They included adorable notes about our kitties each day, one time specifically saying they swore Binx responded with a literal “yes” when they asked her if she was hungry haha! Would definitely have them look in on our little ones again!”

About: My dad is a veterinarian and my mom was hospital managed. I have grown up around all kinds of animals and reptiles since I could walk. I love to walk everyday and can’t not smile when I see a dog!! I walk everyday, I live near walking trails that have cows on them that make me smile. I prioritize 2 walks a day minimum when taking care of a dog! I provide a comfortable safe home for dogs to be and play in. I utilize walks and monitored on leash experiences in the backyard to maintain dog safety in an unfenced yard.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
