About: I’ve had or taken care of pets my entire life. I will listen to you and what your pet’s needs are and will ensure that they get the best care. Being in the position of needing pet care myself at times, I know how important it is to be confident in your sitter. I currently work from home 3 days a week. On the days that I go into work I will come home halfway through the day to check on your pets that I’m watching. Weekends are usually spent taking the dogs for daily outings. I can provide the importance of a partially fenced in yard. I am always willing to take your dog out on a leash if there is a threat of them running off. I love taking my pups out back on the acreage to run around. My 5-year old golden retriever and 13-year old basset hound will be able to accompany your dog in the yard :)
About: I’ve been a trusted pet-sitter for all of my family and friends! I have a passion for animals and their welfare and I pride myself in offering quality TLC for pet owners who are struggling with the idea of leaving their pets with somebody else. I have experience with both cats and dogs, as well as other animals (small animals, fish, etc.) I am a college student working toward a degree in wildlife conservation and zoology. My passion for animals is truly the focus of my life! In addition, I volunteer with a local feral cat TNR organization and am working toward becoming a kitten foster more regularly. I’m a full time college student working part-time. I’m happy to dedicate my free time and move around my schedule when possible in order to offer quality time and care for those who purchase my services! I’m all about continuously educating myself on the top quality standard of pet care! I research and seek out information so I can give the animals in my care the best of the best. I believe in advocating for animals to make sure they are getting everything they need to lead long and healthy lives. I have taken a lot of time to understand animal behavior to prevent making animals in my care feel unsafe or threatened. They give you plenty of warnings when they’re feeling that way, so it’s crucial to educate yourself and others on what to look out for to prevent unsafe interactions.
“Tae’Lor has been fantastic to work with for repeated walks for our dog, Hazel! She is very kind and communicative, and takes great care of our pup. I have been so impressed by how long of walks she does in the walk time and she’s great about taking pictures of our pup for us to see too! I’m very happy to have found Tae’Lor and excited to keep working with her.”

This summer I have plenty of time to dedicate to caring for your pets. I have experience with both small and large dogs, as well as cats, and I treat every animal like my own. This summer I'm home in Olympia taking a college course, so my days are flexible and my focus is simple — hitting the books and spoiling some fur babies! I have plenty of time and am committed to giving your pet consistent, reliable care My home comes with a large fenced yard — plenty of room for your pup to run wild, explore, and have the time of their life!

About: I am a life long animal lover who is obsessed with dogs. I have had and cared for dogs my entire adult life, including my 2 current pups. I have been employed at a local pet boarding and daycare facility for the last 8 years, and couldn't imagine doing anything else. I have completed online dog training and behavior courses through my job, so I am well versed in all things canine. I have experience with dogs of all ages and temperaments, as well as various special care needs and administering medications. Caring for furry family members is truly my passion. I'm working part time and currently have Friday, Saturday, and Sundays available for your pet care needs including 1-2 night pet sitting in your home. I am also available any day except Monday for dog walks, check ins, cat care etc. I have the knowledge and experience to take care of your dog's emotional and physical wellness. Their wellbeing will always be my top priority. I have administered a variety of oral, topical, and injectable medications including insulin. I have a basic understanding of first aid and emergency situations. I understand dog behaviors and have the confidence to work with dogs of every size and almost any temperament. I pride myself on being able to win over most dogs who may be shy, fearful, or reactive. In the case of transporting your animals I can assure you I would always drive safely, and would be able to provide my clean driving record. I have one seat belt harness for a 65lb dog that could be used. I am also open to purchasing other dog vehicle safety devices as it's something I believe to be very important. I will never yell, be angry, or treat any animal negatively in any way as it is simply not in my nature. I love every animal and think they are blessings in this world.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs, cats, house birds, falcons, rodents, fish, chickens, ducks, and plenty of other animals since I was a child and have helped care for both young and senior pets I’m currently unemployed searching for jobs, so my routine is really flexible, only needing to set aside time for job interviews and family. I currently have the ability for extended house/pet sitting needs. I do not have the ability for boarding animals currently, however with the services I currently offer I am gentle and respectful of all animals, their owners, and the owners property.
“Madisyn has been doing a great job walking our big rambunctious collie. She is reliable amd communicative and may have some special magic, as our cat who is normally aloof with nonfamily took to her right away and followed her to get more pets.”

“Veronica has been amazing!! She was available very last minute (the day before) when I needed someone to walk my newly adopted dog. She’s been an amazing communicator, willing to do the little things like wipe my dogs paws after a walk or use the same command words that I use for my dogs. The photos of her walks are an extra touch that warms my heart. Would definitely recommend Veronica for your animal needs.”

About: Hello there, I'm Quincy! I grew up on a farm taking care of goats, horses, chickens, cats & dogs. During which I heavily participated in cleaning up after, feeding, and of course completely adoring these animals. Dog walking & cat-sitting professionally have been a part of my life for the last 2 years and have many references to provide if needed. Providing this service has consistently felt like a mutually rewarding experience for everyone involved. I love caring for animals and helping others do the same! It should be noted I have also worked with elderly animals as well as animals with disabilities. Before I changed my career focus to animal-care taking I worked as an infant/toddler nanny, for the over 6 years. Giving me lots of general caregiving & house-keeping experience. On top of that, I've also been an independent contractor doing house cleaning over the course of the last few years. I have a completely open schedule. I'd prefer working/dog-walking/cat-sitting between the hours of 8 am & 8 pm. In the past I usually dog walk at 8 am and again at 8 pm. When I have house-sat (with cats) it has been for 1 week to 3 weeks at a time. I am open to many possibilities. These are just examples of what I've done in the past. As far as providing care for animals in my client's home goes, I am extremely attentive to an animal, its needs, and my client's needs & requests. I want to befriend the animal, if possible, and certainly feed, hydrate, walk (if dog) and clean up after the animals however needed. I will not be able to have any pets in my home currently. I can certainly drive to you & provide dog walks or house-sitting though!
About: Some of my earliest memories were with my best friend, Gus. Who was a chocolate lab with floppy ears. Since Gus, I’ve been lucky enough to have a couple other best friends. We recently lost our 16 year old pug, and with that loss I have a doggie shaped hole in my heart. And what better way to fill that? I recently moved back to Olympia and am currently unemployed. I have open availability and reliable transportation! I am looking for something to fulfill me. Some may consider me a helicopter parent! I am a very observant pet sitter. My number one priority is your pets safety. I once pulled a dryer out of a wall to get my sister’s cat out of an apartment building fire, but that’s a story for another day!
About: I’ve learned a lot from the two family dogs over the years. Seeing them learn from other dogs has taught me about dog body language. Over the past 3 years I’ve taken up sitting for neighbors and friends dogs. I am available during weekdays. Day or night walks and visits, I can also do overnight sits. I currently have no major conflicts to plan around. I always like spending time with dogs outside in the first half of the day if the weathers nice. Throughout the day I give them walks at requested intervals or when the dog gives me “the look”. When they get the zoomies I’ll match their energy and play or take them on a walk. I can practice commands, sticking to the owners examples or requests.

Bridget has been wonderful with Nova! She makes sure my pup is taken care of and treated kindly and with love. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
