Amber is the best! I'm so happy with how it's going with my pups! My chihuahua-dachshund is impossible to walk but just a couple of weeks of walking with Amber and he's walking without pulling!!

Christina is wonderful with our 4 month old puppy Dolly. She has been very helpful in the training and socializing processes. She is very kind, patient, courteous and responsible. Christina communicates all needs or issues respectfully. Christina does her best to accommodate any changes to Dolly’s walk schedule. We feel 100% confident that Christina cares for Dolly as if she were one of her own. My husband and I can not say enough good things about Christina. If we could we would definitely give her way more than 5 stars. We would 100% recommend Christina to all of our family and friends.

Had such a GREAT experience with Sav! She knows exactly what she is doing and was SO adaptable her first time getting to know our dogs quirks. Truly, it means so much as we have a golden retriever who struggles on walks and is anxious! We will absolutely be using her again as our dog walker!

Audriana is fantastic! She gives my updates of how my puppy is doing on his walks and sends me pictures. She also gave me over a months notice when she was going to be out of town and not able to walk my little guy. Would HIGHLY recommend Audriana.

I’ve always loved taking care of animals, in a different life I would have been a vet! I’m new to the are and moved here to be a co manager at a clothing store. I’m hoping to fill my extra time with taking care of furry family members! I work full time as a manager at a clothing store, but have two days off during the week and usually time before or after a shift to help as well. I can only help animals in the home of their own parents, but can follow instructions and will do anything to help and take care of your pet.

About: From St Bernards to Yorkies we have sat for a wide variety of pets. Our family, including Banjo the Beagle would love to host your pup. We are conveniently situated in The Lincoln Park Craft District- 2 blocks away from the trail and daily trail walks are an important part of our routine. My daily routine consists of 2 miles of dog walking- at least. As a teacher I am off in the summer, so I have lots of time to spend with your pup. During the school year I work nearby by and could cruise home for a midday potty break at lunch-as needed. I have a very social 4 year old dog to keep your pet entertained. I live very near excellent dog walking trails. If you have a social dog we love dog park trips.

About: Hi! My name is Mara, and I would love the opportunity to care for your pets and your home while you’re away. I have grown up with multiple dogs and have always loved being around animals. Over the years, I have also provided dog sitting and house sitting for neighbors and family members, caring for pets in their own homes, following their routines, and making sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship. I understand that every pet has their own personality, preferences, and needs. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply having someone nearby, I will take the time to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I also have experience providing more specialized care, including administering IV medication for an elderly animal I was watching. This experience taught me the importance of patience, responsibility, attention to detail, and following care instructions carefully. My background working in childcare, summer camps, and other safety-focused roles has helped me become dependable, organized, and attentive. I will treat your pets like they are my own and your home with the same respect I would want someone to show mine. I am happy to provide updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I am currently a full-time online student, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to caring for your pets. I am available for walks, drop-ins, and house sitting, and I am happy to work with your pet’s routine to provide consistent and reliable care. I care for pets by keeping their routines consistent and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I follow all care instructions for feeding, walks, medications, and playtime, and I treat each pet and home with the same respect I would want for my own. I am happy to provide updates and photos so owners can have peace of mind knowing their pets are well cared for.

I’ve helped friends, family, and neighbors with walking, feeding, playtime, and basic care. I’m very active, patient, and loving, and I treat every pet like they’re my own. :) I am currently a college student, so I am home for most of the day. About: I simply adore animals! I will provide loving, playful, patient, high quality care that will leave your fur babies begging for more! I am able to administer medications and general care as specified. I also offer nail/claw trims for dogs and cats for $20. Just check the bathing/grooming box. I prioritize play, so even drop ins will get plenty of entertainment! Supervised puzzle feeds, or playing with favorite toys, or whatever pops up in the moment. Pup-led play is usually the most fun! My schedule is fairly open most of the time, but I am going to be starting trade school to become a barefoot specialist for equines sometime in 2026. I need a flexible work schedule so I can trim my case study horses, and the horses I already trim for a friend. - REGARDING OVERNIGHT STAYS! My rates are for ONE 12 hr overnight visit. If you need me for consecutive nights with drop ins during the day, my rates increase to cover each drop in. Walks, nail trims, daily brushing are also an additional cost. These additional charges will be discounted, not my full rate. Let's discuss it 😃 My kitties and I enjoy a peaceful life out in the country. We're new to it, and it's not our house, so I am not currently offering boarding or doggy daycare. I am incredibly respectful of others' spaces. I follow the 'leave no trace' hiking guideline into clients' homes! I respect privacy and will never invite strangers in or take photos for any other reason than to update you, the owner.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Eldes Corner. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Eldes Corner.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

  • 91% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 91% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
