About: With almost 7 years of professional experience, you can trust that your pets are in good hands! I grew up on and around farms, so I have experience with pets ranging from dogs and cats, to goats and chickens, to lizards and guinea pigs and more. Now, I have my own little zoo at home, which includes a dog, a cat, two guinea pigs, turtles, and fish. I started my professional experience at the age of 16, when I started working at a doggy daycare. Once I moved to the Duluth area, I continued caring for pets through Rover and similar sites. In the last few months, I have started my own business petsitting and dog walking. In addition, I have done volunteer work through animal shelters and worked closely with dog trainers to expand my knowledge and experience with pets of all kinds. I currently work full time Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm, as well as 9am-3pm Saturdays and 5pm-9pm Friday and Saturday nights. In order to make sure that my pets are getting all the love and attention they need, I will no longer be able to do overnight visits on weekdays. I am more than happy to stay over on weekends and do drop-in visits during the week, though! I love spoiling my pets, and would love to do so with yours as well. I have a lot of experience with complex feeding and medication instructions. I am also very active, so I can exercise your pup in a safe one-on-one environment, bring them to the dog park, provide mental stimulation with puzzles, or cuddle with them if they're a little older- whichever is preferred by you and your pupper.

Miss Nala, who's pictured in some of my photos, passed in February of 2023 after almost 14 years of being the best bud I could've asked for. I absolutely think Pitties are the best dogs out there, but decided on a breed that would be a little more hardy for our MN weather this time around and that's how Copper came into my life. I'd be happy (perfer) to set up a meet & greet before hand for everyones peace of mind. Just like people, two friendly dogs may not always get along. Of course, there's no fee for this! Please note, although I work from home, weekday availability begins at 3pm unless the pet is okay being crated or trusted unsupervised during my work hours (to be let out for playtime/potty breaks while I am on break). Your pup will be treated like family and will have my undivided attention while in my care. Lots of space for playtime in my fenced backyard and plenty of comfy furniture inside to relax on. :)

Currently living in Minneapolis, I have one larger dog named Gros tet (big head). He melts like butter and plays according to the animal visitors play type! Communication is key in my eyes, and I love sending photo updates throughout the day! 2019 I left the active duty military, and my husband of 3 years is still active duty Marines. (So if you have an energetic pup that needs some run time we would be happy to accommodate!) when it comes to grooming, I operate my at home salon…well at home… could be good for some doggies and not so much for others. I’m typically home all day unless I need to step out for errands. We go to bed around 10-12pm and wake up around 7am everyday. Pretty relaxed. If you have a list I’ll gladly go through it. Every dog is different and with ever dog routines need to be adjusted. Since I already have a dog in home usually, visiting dogs like following him around, typically he is a very good trend setter! I will only do things I feel comfortable with, for example, if weather is bad and you would like a walk during the day, the animals safety comes first! We will try other games around the house! Or maybe even a training/mental stimulation session!

About: I have two chocolate labs at home. I have cared for these dogs for 8+ years, and I have also dog-sat plenty of my neighbors', community members', friends', and relatives’ dogs over the years. I love to adventure with my dogs, but I can accommodate whatever adventure means for each dog, based on ability and the owner's desire. Also, I have done training with my oldest dog, have experience giving medication upon the owner's instructions, and have sat with quite sick dogs (my attentiveness to needs in this department is high). I’m available for watching on both weekends and weekdays when you need my help! I will have work throughout the week, but I can pick up times to watch as my schedule is flexible. About: Call me Kim, I have loved and cared for many animals starting at a young age, while growing up in the country.
