About: I’ve taken care of animals for as long as I can remember. I grew up with cats and dogs, and when I was a teenager, a stray cat we took in gave birth to 4 adorable kittens. I couldn’t imagine not having a home full of animals after that! I pet sit for friends and family already, and I’ve been a foster parent for TAPS in Pekin for 6 years - we’ve fostered 6 litters of cats and 15 dogs so far. I love animals of all kinds, and I can’t wait to meet and care for yours! I work from home most of the time, so I’m almost always around! Occasionally I need to go into the office, but that’s usually only for a half day at a time (4 hours). I have a fenced in yard where dogs can run around and a neighborhood great for walks! I also have dog gates and spare rooms in case animals want some space.

About: In addition to living with a dog and 5 cats over the last 20 years, I've also fostered more than 60 pets from an animal shelter and two rescues. I've handled cats and dogs of all ages and with various behaviors and health conditions. I love cats and dogs equally, and as my household currently does not include a dog, I get so much joy from caring for the canine family members of others! I am an active person who walks several miles daily and I would love to have your furry family member along when I go out on a walk, to get some exercise, socialize, and enjoy the outdoor environment. I have a flexible schedule and am prepared to meet varying needs for walks, play, feeding, meds, and grooming of your wonderful furry family members. I have a fenced yard and currently indoor cats only. I can transport your dog(s) for walks and exercise or grooming care, or come to your home for play and exercise in your yard or home. Shy, older, and young pets are all safe and loved with me. I am experienced with very shy and nervous animals and also with energetic, young ones. I am willing to work with pets who need some guidance on heeling, walking on a leash, and some basic commands. Under no circumstances do I use verbal or physical punishment on any animal, only positive reinforcement and encouragement.

“Theresa and family were absolutely amazing from start to finish! She took on our three dogs for eight nights, and made us so comfortable with daily pictures and updates. We had never used a dog sitter before, and we’re nervous about sending our fur babies to a strangers home, but that all subsided as soon as we met Teresa and her wonderful family, I am not sure that the dogs wanted to come home !! I will definitely use Theresa in the future, she will always be the first person we call with our pet sitting needs. If I could give her 10 stars I would.!”

“We have a husky, very energetic, sometimes even crazy and spoiled dog. It’s always an issue to find someone that we can trust and feel fully relaxed during our trips. Walter was recommended by some people that we met at a dog park. After contacting him, and talking to him we decided to meet. Since then, we can travel and have absolutely no worries leaving our Myla in his care. He is amazing person, loves dogs, very attentive and knows how to take care. We never had a single issue. “Stephanie responded within minutes when I first wrote her to see if she was available to dog-sit Nukie 9/5-8. She seemed very friendly and ready to assist. Since Nukie is a senior dog, we talked about special care for her, and Stephanie and family provided that, carrying Nukie up and down the stairs to go outside. I called and checked on Nukie a day after she was there to make sure there were no problems. We were told there weren't, so I felt assured all went well the last two days of her stay.
