About: I have had pets my whole life. I currently have two cats and three dogs, but have had other animals in the past. I have taken care of animals in every way including a special needs cat who had diabetes, he needed insulin injections and blood sugar checks. I am a full time student at ISU. I have a very flexible schedule as I have at most two classes on two days of the week, one class two days of the week, and no classes the rest of the time. I have had cats most of my life, and am very accustomed to playing with cats, feeding schedules, litter cleanup, brushing, and nail clipping. I am very patient with a cat’s personality as I have rescued a mama cat and her kittens, and understand it can take some time for a kitty to get comfortable with new people or environment.
“Bridgette was really good taking care of Appa, she send me pictures of her every visit eventhough my cat was most of the time hiding or watching from the distance. She/he make sure that my cat has water, food and a clean potty. Highly recommended.”

“Theodore was amazing with my 16-year-old kitty Paulie. He quickly gained Paulie’s trust and affection. He did everything I asked and more. I felt really comfortable being away because of Theodore’s responsible and thoughtful care of Paulie.”

“Nichole took such good care of Jack, my 70 pounds of energy Australian Shepherd! I feel very safe about having her come into my house. I will confidently recommend her to anyone.”

“Sara is reliable and great with my dogs! Shes good about being descriptive of how the interaction went and sending pictures while taking care of doggos. Our go to sitter!”

About: Hi! My name is Rina, and I’ve always had a genuine love for animals. I have hands-on experience caring for pets of different ages, sizes, and personalities, including feeding, walking, playtime, and providing lots of attention and affection. I’m comfortable following specific care instructions, sticking to routines, and making sure pets feel safe and relaxed while their owners are away. I understand that every pet is unique, and I take the time to learn their needs, energy levels, and comfort cues. Whether it’s an energetic walk, a calm cuddle session, or simply keeping them company, I treat every pet as if they were my own. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I’m able to plan my schedule around feedings, walks, drop-in visits, and quality time, making sure each pet gets the attention they need. I’m reliable with timing, flexible when plans change, and happy to accommodate specific routines. Whether it’s quick check-ins or longer visits, I make pet care a priority and make sure every visit is calm, consistent, and stress-free. When caring for pets in my home or theirs, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I follow all feeding, medication, and care instructions closely, provide plenty of attention and enrichment, and make sure pets feel safe and comfortable in their environment. I respect each pet’s personality—whether they’re playful, shy, or independent—and adjust my care to meet their needs. Cleanliness, safety, and communication are always priorities, and I make sure owners feel confident and updated while they’re away.
“Kelsey is professional, dependable, and gentle with animals. She did a fantastic job taking care of our senior dog who has some complex needs, and we will definitely be booking her again!”

About: Hi!! My name is Lauren and I would love to take care of, walk, feed, or just love on your pets (: I currently have a 6 year old pitty mix and a 15 year old chow mix and they are my pride and joy! Growing up I had a family pug, so I have experience with small and large dogs! I currently am open during the week from 6am - 6pm to take care of whatever your needs might be for you and your pets! I plan to only except jobs that will be in the pets owners home, so I would need to know what is best for your home and your neighborhood. As well as how your pet acts / any needs they may have.
About: I am a veterinary student with 8 years of animal experience! I am trained to look for signs of discomfort or pain in pets! I am also trained to administer medications both orally and through injections if your pet requires any of those types of treatment! I am currently working part time and have very flexible hours! I am willing to work around schedules and will openly communicate about the needs of your pet! I currently do not have a dog at my house as my sweet older baby has recently passed, however I have a fenced in backyard and a quiet neighborhood that is good for walks and exercise outside!

About: I had dogs my whole childhood, and have had cats in adulthood. As a kid, I loved caring for and training our dogs, both basic commands and some fun tricks! I was responsible for letting them out when they needed, feeding them on time, playing with them, and taking them on walks. I wanted to be a dog trainer for years, and had a training manual I would study to know all the right actions and reactions for different situations and behaviors. I can't say I remember many specifics for training, but I definitely have plenty experience in basic care and play. As of right now, I am available all day on Sundays, and until 2pm all other days— perfect for midday walks or drop-ins while you're at work! I can provide basic care for both cats and dogs in their homes. I will feed, play, cuddle, walk, and even clean up after if necessary.
About: I am currently getting my bachelor's in animal behavior and care. I've had many bteeds of dog from small to large as well as cats. I love all breeds and I am open minded to all animals. Even the scaly ones. I have 3 cats and a dog with ptsd from their previous owner. I work but am more then able to adjust my schedule in order to pet sit. I will still be sure they are fed properly, played with, and taken out as needed. I will ensure your pet is fed, walked, taken out and generally well looked after with lots of playtime. I can work with their dietary schedules and needs as well as their special care.
“Aubry was wonderful to work with. She really cared for our pets. She helped take stress away while I was having surgery knowing our pets were being cared for. Thank you so much Aubry!”

About: I love animals and have cared for many different kinds. I'm also a Pre-Veterinary student and trained Veterinary technician. I've cared for animals of all ages and can identify sicknesses and health issues. I'm currently a college student with only 1-3 classes a day. I have big gaps between classes and a lot of free time to check on your pets and play with them when requested! As a pet parent, i aim to provide for the best care for my animals. I have a dog, cat, and leapord gecko which receive great care. As a pet owner, I will provide the same love I give to my animals, to yours.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Edwards. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
