“Keerie is a great dog walker for our Mabel. Mabel loves her weekly long walks and snuggles and I love Keerie’s responsiveness, timeliness and communication. Keerie is a true animal lover who I highly recommend.”

“Katie was absolutely wonderful with Molly! She was so sweet, patient, and kind, and I could tell she genuinely cared about making sure Molly was comfortable and happy. Communication was great, she was reliable, and I felt completely at ease knowing Molly was in such good hands. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and compassionate to care for their pet. Thank you so much!”

“Finn gets so much joy when his friend Cassie comes! All I have to say is ‘guess who is here’ before she rings the bell and he runs to the front door, with his most excited barking and greets her with so much enthusiasm! And she gets more kisses from him than I do!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️”

“I can’t express what a positive experience it was working with Monica! She walked my two dogs five days in a row and provided feedback, pictures, length of walk, etc. every day. Her communication to set everything up and throughout the week went above and beyond. It was such a blessing to know she was coming every day to walk and spend time with my dogs.”

“Ellen did a great job walking my dog! She was on time, followed instructions, and communicated with me! Quincy had so much fun and is very excited to see Ellen again for another walk!”

“Jeffrey is an excellent walker. He takes our dog on long walks and gets him nice and tired. He took the time to meet us first to make sure we felt comfortable with him and always takes the best pictures of our pup as well! Our apartment is a little difficult to access but he has been great working with the staff to get in everyday and we feel comfortable with him in our home. Would highly recommend.”

About: I currently have a Labrador Retriever and a cat, and before them I raised a golden retriever who lived to 11. I’m close to the MetroParks, so even without a fenced yard there’s plenty of opportunity for long walks and fresh air. I believe a calm dog is a happy, well‑behaved dog, and I make sure every pup gets the exercise and attention they need. I know it can be stressful leaving your dog in a new environment. My goal is to put your mind at ease so you can fully enjoy your vacation or event. I’ll send regular updates and photos so you always know how your pup is doing. I’m dedicated to making animals feel at home—just like I hope for my own pets when I’m away. I work from home three days a week, which gives me plenty of flexibility for walks and attention throughout the day when the weather is nice. I’m also home on weekends, so your pets will have consistent company and care. I have a friendly dog and cat to keep your fur baby company. I can crate your dog easily if needed. I am in an apartment, but there’s convenient side walks and paths for taking bathroom breaks multiple times per day.
About: I've assisted in taking care of my parent's dogs for years, from a grumpy old man dog to a chaotic 6 week old puppy, whether that be playing, making food, going for walks, and cleaning up accidents. I also have experience with provided medicine as needed. I am very flexible with timing as long as I know a week prior, but if it's short notice, I am mainly available in the mornings up until noon. I make sure to play, regularly let them go to the bathroom outdoors, feed them at appropriate times and if they want their space then I respect them.
About: Hi! I’m a reliable and caring pet lover based in the Akron/Cuyahoga Falls area. I’ve cared for cats and dogs of all personalities and understand how important it is to know your pets are safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I currently have pets of my own, so I’m very familiar with feeding routines, litter/cleanup, playtime, medication schedules, and giving animals patience and attention. I’m happy to provide updates and photos during visits so you can feel at ease while you’re away from home. My schedule is flexible, and I’m available for drop-ins, house sitting, and pet care throughout the week. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, cuddly, or independent, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I look forward to meeting you and your pets! 🐾 It fits in perfectly! I am currently doing mostly freelance work right now so this type of flexible schedule is just the right fit for me! I will provide extra toys, lots of love and snuggles, and I am open to discussing providing more if that is of interest to you!

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
