“Nayoma is the perfect pet sitter for us! She is very caring and thorough. She met with us beforehand to meet our pups, and answered any question I had. She updated us daily and sent pictures. She is also very flexible with time changes. I trust her to take care of our dogs and plan to use her in the future”

“Amanda is a gift for anyone who feels nervous to leave their pup(s). Her home and yard are so welcoming, she is invested and kind, and very professional. She communicates the perfect amount, sends plenty of pictures, and demonstrates genuine love and care. My two goldens loved their time with her, appreciated her yard a ton, and loved being treated as if they were her own (snuggles galore)! Will definitely be booking again.”

“Becky did an excellent job of making Rocky feel comfortable even though he is a new rescue of mine. She stayed in touch the entire time I was gone and sent lots of pictures and videos. I would highly recommend her and hope to have Rocky there again soon!”

“Jenai and Sean have taken wonderful care of our two active Aussies. I’m picky about who cares for my dogs as they both have individual quarks and I trust Jenai and Sean 110%!”

“Julie and her husband took such great care of Samantha. They really embraced Samantha and her fun, energetic personality as well as he need for quiet time. She had walks and a nice big yard to play in. Samantha and their dog Barron did very well together. We feel so comfortable leaving knowing she is in good hands. Highly recommend Julie!”

“This is the first time we had ever used Rover and it was a great experience. We received several pictures to see how Layla was doing during her 18 day stay. I highly recommend Katy to care for your dogs. We will be back again!!!”

“Savannah did a great job with my dog Henry! She checked in regularly and assured me that he was doing well. I could tell Henry enjoyed his time playing with Savannah’s pups!”

“Elizabeth was wonderful! She deserves an award for handling my crazy, high energy Labrador. Somehow she kept up with his endless energy & chaos. I got constant pictures and videos giving me a peace of mind while i was gone. Duck came home happy and tired. Can’t thank her enough for watching him!”

“Trina is an excellent dog caretaker. Our little Bean had so much fun and you could tell she felt very loved. She'll treat your pup like it's her own. She's generous, dedicated and kind. We will definitely be using her services again.”

“Katie was great! She and her husband took amazing care of Titan for 5 nights and treated him like he was their own. Great communication and regular updates, lots of walks, plenty of love, and they were very flexible with my drop-off and pickup schedule. Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Eastwood
Ryan took care of my two dogs for an overnight stay at their home, and I truly could not have asked for a better experience. From the start, I felt completely secure leaving the girls in their care, which says a lot—especially since one of my dogs is 13 and has a lot of feelings and specific needs. Ryan showed so much understanding, generosity, patience, and empathy with her, and it meant the world to me. The girls settled in quickly, and Ryan sent photos of them snuggling shortly after I left and continued sharing updates throughout their stay because they knew how important that would be to me. Ryan never made me feel like my questions, check-ins, or verifications were too much—in fact, they reassured me many times (even saying “data is my jam” 😊), which made the whole experience feel easy and supportive. When I picked the girls up, they were excited to see me, but once I sat down with Ryan to talk through how everything went, they quickly settled again—which told me they truly felt comfortable and safe there. It’s very clear Ryan genuinely cares for the dogs they watch and treats them like their own. I had absolutely no concerns while the girls were with them, and Ryan will absolutely be our go-to resource from here on out. I’m so grateful we found them.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Eastwood home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Eastwood.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Eastwood sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
