About: For most of my childhood, I never was allowed to have a pet, despite being so eager to have one. However, I did know many friends and families who had dogs and cats, whom I would visit frequently. I would help feed them, walk them, play with them, give them gentle petting when they were receptive, etc. As a teenager I moved around a lot with my single mother and my younger sister, so I got to live with a few different pet owners: One of my adult roommates had an old senior Shih Tzu. The sweet girl had poor vision and moved slowly, but I did my best to help my roommate and handled her dog with care everyday. Another woman I lived with had two cats; the male was affectionate and friendly, and the female was the feisty and shy one. I approached both very differently, aware of their boundaries, and formed a sweet bond with both :) Then my mother’s friend, who had a bunny! I learned a lot about how to give them healthy and fulfilling lives. Bunnies are very high maintenance, yet admittedly my favorite animal to care for. It’s why I actually ended up having a pet rabbit to spend every day with when I lived with my grandmother for years. I’m now living in a faraway town and unable to see my sweet bunny as often, but I’m most experienced in rabbit care and grooming!! All in all, I get along with most animals, and I find animals of all types just precious, even during the more lackluster aspects of having them. I understand each pet is their own individual with unique needs and I will always be attuned to that. I feed crows and pigeons (not around other animals though), I photograph insects and reptiles… yes, I just love animals and living creatures. I have plenty of money saved, but currently no income coming in because I don’t have a job. This is a way I am trying to make money to continue to save up for life expenses. As a result, I am literally free whenever, haha! I have no defined schedule whatsoever, but I do have routines and a list of hobbies I’d love to pursue in my journal. I get up early in the morning to walk around my neighborhood usually, and I do the same during sunset. The rest of the day depends; sometimes I read non-fiction, other times I head to Lake Evans, or see a live music performance at a cafè. I also dedicate some entire days to activism and fundraisers, so if I’m unavailable to care for a pet I will simply be upfront about that! I have a two story house, and it’s quite spacious! For rabbits or other animals that need an extra danger-proof house, the floors are almost completely free of things that pose any danger (such as sharp objects or accessible wires), and can be blocked off when there are visitors. The house has a mix of smooth wooden and carpeted flooring. I have three roommates, but only one is consistently staying in the house, and spends most time outside of the house. She has expressed permission to allow an animal every once in a while, she is trustworthy, and I would never leave an animal around any other human being unsupervised. The house also has a spacious backyard with high fencing and grass. The neighborhood itself is fantastic for dog walking! There’s a walkway with trees, flower bushes, small fields of grass, and it’s a hotspot for hummingbirds haha.

About: I have been surrounded by pets all my life whether it’s family, family friend, or friend’s pets, they’ve all loved me. I am also on top with my communication and very responsive so it will be a bonus to get good updates with your furball ! I have a cat that I take care of everyday; Properly fed, played, and cuddly with. I have a lot time spent with my cat and my availability is very open as I spend a lot of time being home. I take care of pets by following directions from owners, feeding them properly, providing them good attention, and will be able to communicate all the time about pets. I love taking pictures too so you can get cute pictures of your pets!

She said she treats all her clients the same way she does her own pets (as her children) and follows instructions exactly - and she did not disappoint! She got to know each of our cats’ unique personalities and cared for them appropriately. I am extremely satisfied with her work. We will absolutely be hiring her again! She communicates extremely well and provides detailed notes and pictures. Our cats adored her!!”

About: I’ve taken care of cats since I was 12. I grew up with cats and love their personalities. I have one kitty now, his name is Ricky. I first provided dog/house-sitting services for my professor in college for about 5 days where I fed, played and walked her lovely Border Collie. I began to cat sitting/drop ins for my brother and sister-in-law two years ago while they were away on vacation in the summer and have been doing it since. I am happy to care for both cats and doggos alike. I work a full time job, but can provide drop in services in the evenings for your pets while you’re away or make arrangements to cat/dog sit in your home. I am also available weekends! My availability will reflect on the calendar. I abide by your house rules and preferences when house sitting your pet in your home. If your pet gets anxious with new people around, I think it’s always best to have me meet them with you before you leave. I am happy to provide daily updates and send you photos. If there is any doubt about your pets needs, I’ll be sure to communicate those with you directly.

About: Through volunteering at an animal shelter, I’ve had the opportunity to work with many kinds of dogs. From senior dogs to puppies! All of which I am capable of caring for. I’m currently a full time student at RCC, I major in music so I have a flexible schedule that can accommodate any of my clients demands. About: I have grown up taking care of dogs, turtles, and tortoises all my life. I would also watch over birds and pigeons that belonged to my grandma and uncle. I had cared for a friend’s cat and my neighbor’s cat. I currently have dogs, turtles, tortoises, chickens, and ducks. I currently am a full-time student and looking to take care of more furry babies. I will do the best I can to make sure they get the care they need! I make sure to have engaging toys and enough space for my dogs to run and laze around. I keep watch on my tortoises and turtles since they are currently hibernating. I provide a kiddie pool for my ducks to enjoy baths. I have a coop for my chickens and ducks to sleep in.

“Douglas is extraordinary. Truly, I have never felt more comfortable having a sitter in my home taking care of my kitties. He displayed high professionalism, kindness, and dedication to this job and animals. During the meet and greet he was very personable, asked questions, and we could tell he was incredibly knowledgeable about cats. I requested extra photos, and he went above and beyond, even sending me videos and giving me updates during the sit and not just via the Rover Card! I left very detailed notes, and he did every single thing I asked for, even opening and closing my curtains for my plants! My kitties LOVED him. I've never seen them warm up to a new person SO quickly, especially my male cat, who is usually broody and will hide. Not only did he not hide, but he took treats from Douglas!! I am very impressed by Douglas and his work ethic, not only meeting the needs of my kitties and caring for them with compassion but also exceeding my expectations (which is admittedly VERY hard to do lol.) He was extremely communicative and took extra measures to make sure my kitties AND myself were comfortable. I cannot emphasize how relieved and worry-free I was during my camping trip, where I didn't have service most of the time. I was not stressed at all, knowing they were in good hands, which has never happened with a sitter before. Even sitters I trusted, I still worried. We have had several sitters over the years and none of them even come close to Douglas. If you're not booking with him, you're crazy. He is a MUST HAVE and I will never book with anyone else again (desperately praying that he will always be available lmao.) I'm so incredibly grateful to him!!!!”

I’m new to Rover but I have taken care of dogs since I was 8. I have 6 dogs at home and volunteer at a Humane Society, so I have experience with all kinds of dogs. I love animals and wish to help you with walking, check-in’s, or house-sitting. I can also help you with whatever responsibilities you wish for me to take care of while you are away! I'm currently on break, so I will have plenty of time to care of your pets. I'm available on weekdays and weekends between any reasonable times, just check my availability for any updates. Your pet’s safety and care is my top priority. I will treat them like my own pet and will carefully follow any instructions left to keep your pet comfortable. About: I’m a PhD student with long periods of studying/working from home that allows me to use to spend this extra time caring for cats meanwhile caring for my own cat as well! I am available for drop in visits and house-sitting.
